  1. Just this game or the season in general?

Brora finished on 123 goals, missing out on Inverness Thistle's record by a single goal.
  3. A late contender for the CTO Most Optimistic Post of the Season Award..

Graham Spier's nominated him for the worst manager of the year on Sportsound this afternoon although to be fair to Boootcher Spiers was probably unaware that he had as at second earlier in the season such is his ignorance of anything north of Kelvinside.
  5. We were most certainly not second best. It was an equal game, as the scoreline shows. Neither was it dull, unless your thing is watching sides lump the ball up the park. it's not mine. Pressure was created when United brought on El Alagui to go a very tall three up front and they got back in with a goal that I would really like to see again, although it might just be down to the lack of height. Midfield coped well, and Danny Williams was stand out for me, in an unfamiliar position. For what its worth, neither Meekings or Warren have "had enough", merely injury and illness that has intervened. My arab contact reckoned that draper was mightily effective and christie impressive in a system that he reckoned was very close to that played by United. My name ain't Jim, but it's definitely football.
  6. Injury and illness is the official line Rumour has it Warren and Meekings have finally given up on the tippy tappy passing across the back that Hughes keeps asking them to play. Plus they were at the heart if the defence that shipped 6 goals last week. The team today impressed in the first half especially when moving the ball forward at pace. Unfortunately they were pinned back for long spells in the second. Happy with the point despite chances to win. Don't know about Josh but Warren has tweeked a hamstring! Source btw is the horses mouth!
  7. Oh well. Now that the European dream is over I suppose we can expect Hughes to start experimenting with the way we play.
  8. Thought crowd was okay actually, only a couple of hundred Dundee United fans soooo... Danny Williams and Carl Tremarco stood out for me. Tansey and Draper solid in midfield. Ref useless - how was their goal not a foul on Brill?
  9. Didn't think attendance looked any worse than usual tbh.

Nick Ross deserves better than 2 minutes of injury time -to me that was an insult to the lad . Hughes really thinks he is something of a tactical genius but to me the sooner he does one the better, second half was appalling.
  11. 1st half encouraging. 2nd half a shambles !
  12. I'm ok with that, especially after having lost the last 2 against them. Still it shows our problem, when we score 1st we have a chance, but go behind and they may as well blow the whistle. And this was happening long before Hughes.
  13. Celtic have put 5 past Aberdeen....hmmmm....McInnes must go....
  14. In fairness to Laurence, even Stephen Fry says that swearing is a necessary part of language when used correctly. But to answer the OPs original question. YES sack him, if only to close this bloody thread.
  15. Club has released the kids they weren't keeping on. Injuries and illness have laid out 4 other regulars as well as Foran being out. and the only other 2 senior members, and Polworth are on the bench as well as 2 kids. It's not an issue at this stage of the season though. Only need 3 subs and a goalie on the bench anyway. You could argue about having more options but putting kids on the bench for the sake of it is pointless as they wont get on so they're not an option anyway. I'm firmly of the opinion kids need to earn a run out, not just get one by default Good half time score, will take those results now. St Johnstone losing and us winning. Take that now.
  16. Injury and illness is the official line
  17. I think the above two posts warrant a fiver each going to the young ICT fan who was hit and had his drum stolen.
  18. Well done Scarlet you have to keep those youngsters in their place from time to time. : -) Only jesting Laurence, SP was one on the first employees at the Royal Bank of Scotland.
  19. A Glaswegian named Tom-Tom has been snared and found guilty of a beating. The bass is to be chastised and the courts hope that the case will be a symbal for similar future offences.

It's Friday You keep off the crack captain
  22. At no point did I suggest that you should. I merely pointed out that your expectations may lead others to suggest that. An analysis of the top flight of Scottish Football since the 12 team, split league model shows that only two teams have achieved a number of points consistent with the win rate you consider acceptable. So to get your desired win rate, you would need to support one of those teams. If you do not wish to support one of those teams, than maybe a different win rate would be more sensible. Yes you are entitled to your opinion, but if it is based on unreasonable expectations, then others are entitled to voice their opinion and challenge those expectations. If you think my post was telling you to GTF, it wasn't. I was merely using some facts (remember them?) to suggest that your expectations and choice of football team may not quite match up. If you don't like the attitude of our fans, you could always try..., oh wait. maybe not.
  23. A valid post and one I entirely agreed with until the utterly illogical and irrational attempt to cite the actions of a number of idiots as an argument against independence. The no camp make some spurious points but that just about takes the biscuit.
