  1. While ICTChris is excruciatingly accurate, he forgets the crucial ingredient that is present in every football fan - even him, if he were to be honest with himself - HOPE! This is an irrational virtue, it can defy logic and fly in the face of all the evidence. Football is the perfect vehicle to foster such irrational tendencies because there is always that single example of something ridiculous happening that is remarkable and often undeserved. tonight is such a night.....
  2. Em reading number 4 Id rather you stayed at home....lol
  3. Agree to the first part, not the second. That argument is for later, though. Right now, we all need to just get behind the boys and roar them to victory on Saturday. What happens elsewhere is not in our hands, but we just need to do everything we can to help get a victory on Saturday.
  4. Just open the fecking gates
  5. SING YOUR HEARTS OUT FER THE BOYS
  6. Nick Ross will certainly be up for it. Maybe Vincent and Williams too.
  7. 3 points
First we need to make sure we get that far...
  8. Brilliant effort from all those going - if we go down, make it a noisy departure will you? If we're staying up, even noisier!
  9. We will soon be leaving for Dundee with a nearly full bus .Great stuff. If we are going down we certainly won't be going down quietly . OK boys we have done our bit now it's over to you . C'MON CALEY !!!!!!!!!
  10. put the crack pipe down , Ally McCoist ffs .
  11. It's a 100% record. What else do you need to know?!
  12. Thought we'd be dead and buried by now and hadn't previously given much consideration to the match v Dundee but the game could now be a very significant one, for better or for worse. Reasons NOT to go: 1. I witnessed us get relegated last time and it was a truly horrible experience that I don't want to repeat. 2. I have no faith in the team's ability to get a result. 3. I haven't enjoyed any of the games I've been to this season. 4. I don't bring the team any luck, in that we lost all the games I've been to this season. Reasons to go: 1. Could be one of a small group of fans to have witnessed ALL of our relegations! 2. The team needs our support. 3. We are ICT. Anything is possible. Verdict : As a fan you've got to take the rough with the smooth. Bring it on!
  13. Oh well, we can enjoy it for now. Nonetheless, the opponents waiting to spoil any party will be no pushovers. Dundee United or Falkirk put on a decent game in midweek with some cracking goals. But for now, let's savour the moment.
  14. when i booked flights over for this Saturdays game i was resigned to the thought of it being a nothing game as we would have probably been down. Never been so happy to be wrong. This game is now the most important of the season and i can't wait. Nights like tonight remind me why i fell in love with this club in the first place
  15. And free tea and pies!
  16. I hope the board try and get the ground filled on Saturday, a pay what you want on the day would help fill the stands
  17. Best form of defence is attack. Let's have some more.
  18. Lock up Foran in the team bus, and let the players sort themselves out. Best chance of doing something. I can hear the post match interview already..
  19. Our hearts are with you, even if they're in our mouths. D-Day! It'll be torture listening to this on the radio.
  20. Cool, I'm going to go then. Last game I went to we beat hibs 3-1, would have been march 2005 ish so hoping to keep my run going... If we win I'll be on a flight home at the weekend so someone else will need to take on lucky mascot duty.
  21. Oh well, feck off then
  22. Great to win and give us some hope, and another performance we could have done with on umpteen occasions earlier in the season to get us well clear of relegation. I'm also amazed that we kept a clean sheet and won in that vanilla and black kit! I'm another one who will miss the Motherwell game - visiting seriously ill mother in Edinburgh. I was coming up the A9 from there tonight and about 5.30 passed the supporters' bus heading south at Blair Atholl, wishing I could have joined them in Dundee.
  23. Situation normal then
  24. Don't worry about the stats Scarlet. We deserved this according to all accounts I have heard or read.
  25. I think on this occasion we can safely ignore all the stats except the one that matters. We scored two goals, they scored none. We have three points and with it still have hope.
  26. I fell in love with the cup two years ago, right now I'd just love to stay in the Premiership.
  27. 1 point
No! You will have CB writing another chapter
  28. Glen Affric. At least you can get radio
  29. bit premature there, still a long way to go, with the odds against us. We've seen false dawns under Foran before, he is still capable of shooting himself in both feet.
  30. Just blow the whistle and I will forgive Inverness Thistle
  31. Grand, his singing will help keep the spirits up for the final 10 mins...
  32. For god's sake Foran, what is the matter with you? Our most likely to score player for one who has shown nothing.
  33. We are not good enough or confident enough to try to defend the lead. We need to keep doing what we have been doing.
  34. WILLIE MILLER - Caley Thistle could be 4-0 up with the amount of opportunities they've had. Dundee are at times knocking the ball about nicely, but they look vulnerable at the back while Caley Thistle are putting in a performance we know they are capable of.
  35. I'm fine, the players look fine and they have been told to concentrate on putting in 100% effort and, if they do that, they will overcome Dundee. "Play to your strengths and be aggressive. The flair players who are not aggressive have found that in the last couple of games and need to do that again tonight. "You are looking for brave players at this stage of the season and capitalise on Dundee players are not on their game. "If you win tonight, I look at the body language of the Hamilton players - they looked very down. "We need to take advantage of that." I thought that was more realistic than of late ?
  36. The embers of hope are still there, but even if we do scrape through this week can you imagine the delight Falkirk would have in putting us to the sword? I'll bet their players are far more up for that fight than ours would be. Might as well accept our fate, look forward to life in the Championship...
  37. Your reality check is valid but unwelcome!
  38. It is pay at gate . Hopefully you will be our lucky mascot !!
  39. Ilpadrino is right...technically. A 1-0 defeat for Hamilton in their last game and a 6-0 (!) victory for us will be enough if we draw tonight. Those straws are getting almost impossible to clutch! No, it is genuinely "must win". Ironically, it was the home match against Dundee away back in January that Foran first said was "must win". This time it is for real, so I'm glad we've had a dress rehearsal, although it didn't go quite to plan back in January....
  40. We are nearer Dingwall so it was on the radio here first
  41. Turning things around a bit here. BUT.. If Hamilton get beat on Tuesday by Ross Co which is very possible and I`m expecting a home win. Does this not give us the biggest ever incentive to beat Dundee the following night. If so how will Hamilton feel about going into the final game of the season maybe needing a win, depending on us winning our home game versus Motherwell. It would still be all to play for, so why so defeatist when the chance is still actually there. If/when Tuesdays result goes in our favour, should we then not be getting down to Dens in our 100`s to support our beloved ICT for one final push. Yes its all unlikely, but you know what, if nobody else has noticed , its still possible to stay up! End of nothing , YET (now where did I put that glass)
  42. A lot of posters must feel highly embarrassed with their contributions to this thread .
  43. Another journey into the unknown, with the outcome very much in our own hands.
