  1. Really enjoyable game today, great team performance. Tough call for man of the match but for me it's Vigurs again, held it all together and spread the ball tremendously. Can't remember him losing the ball once either. Great tenacious display by Bell and very good defensive display all round too. Loved the fight and determination of Raven, another vote from me to do all we can to keep him till the end of the season minimum. If I remember correctly he linked excellently with Doran, so if Aaron's fit and back on right wing I think we'd have a great combination. Slightly disappointed that Baird's grievance with Polworth led to him being booked, even after he'd been booked and ref stopped play he was more interested in carrying on that argument than anyone else. To be gym fair he seemed to get on top of things after a wee word from Rice about keeping the head. No doubting at all his effort and looking forward to the goals starting to go in for him. Calder's inexperience maybe showed a bit at the end a couple of times when he went for the riskier option of taking on players/going for goal rather than taking the ball into the corner but on the whole a much more positive display from him. Oh and I said a few weeks ago that I never wanted to see Chalmers in (central) midfield again. I apologise for judging so early.

..and equally, now that things are going better, should now be showing their appreciation of the change of fortunes loudly and clearly.

The players and staff have responded to the criticism... Which was merited. Fans who pay their entrance every week or fork out for a season ticket have every right to let their feelings be known.

I think that the turnaround may partly be due to Dougal's posts.
  6. Pizza. It's all down to Pizza, I tell you. Good result, should have been more, but three points are what it's about.
  7. Wish they had been this open at the start of the season.might have renewed my season ticket.
  8. A great TEAM performance and huge result which put a marker down for the rest of the teams in the league.
  9. Encouraging that players previously being criticised for being poor are upping their game...I think Baird is due a goal (he'll score next week I bet) he seems to be doing most things right. Even more encouraging that we have won our last two games without Trafford, who before then seemed to be one of the few positives, looks like we have some depth on the bench

It was the same with Alex Ferguson....................close the thread.

It'll find it's own way to bed when we all start believing that Robertson is the man for the job!
  12. Most definetly - the numpties who give him (& Polly) dogs abuse need to have a long hard look at themselves

Anyone else think it's time to put this thread to bed now...
  14. More about the fact strachan doesnt like small players.
  15. Vigurs is pulling the strings in midfield. Some of his touches are amazing, even if some give us heart in mouth moments. I've not seen anyone of his standard this season. We should get behind him and encourage him to stay next season.
  16. Baird may not (yet) be finding the net, but he puts in a power of work and deserves credit for contributing to the team's overall performance.
  17. A great 3 points and another good performance and clean sheet. Before we played the last 3 games I didn't think we would get any points and we ended up with 7 from 9, a great return. Conner Bell must be the find of the season. Robbo has found a formation and turned things around and we are starting to climb the league. Well done Robbo and the team.
  18. That's the most enjoyable game of football I've witnessed at the TCS for a long time, the change in attitude and aptitude was incredible from the QOS game. There was rarely a moment where we gave in and I'm amazed we didn't finish that at least 3-0. Our defence was rock solid, our midfielders show great composure and skill to feed the forwards and apart from Baird the chances just kept looking like going in. A massive amount of positives to take from that and the boys should be immensely proud of their achievement today. Great to see a pretty decent turn out too
  19. In successive weeks we have beaten two sides in the top four who had previously beaten us (in the Pars case convincingly) kept our 5th clean sheet in a row, and seem to have found both attacking threat and a solid back line....progress in anyone's book. Bell rapidly becoming a bit of a hero? I'm up (and buzzing) for the Livingston match next week which I have a good feeling about...it'll certainly give us a hint of whether a run to the play-offs is a possibility (it's a long season I know!)....crowd of near 3000 as well. And my weekend was made all the more happy by a 97th minute equaliser for my other team
  20. Hard to believe after the team and Polworths performace someone should pick on this. No mention of some of the terrific forward balls, hold up play a distribution including the link up play sending mulraney off like a rocket. A terrific team performance, every player put in a great shift.
  21. The enigma was the way he was treated...

Its interesting to see comments from certain fans who seem to think because they refuse to criticise or say anything negative that they are infact 'better' fans than those of us who put across our concerns regarding the club direction and structure of both playing and management. There is a constant and in some ways highly tiresome citing of home fans being nothing but abusive to players - I think on several threads its been unanimously agreed (that the minority who partake) is unacceptable - however its the responsibility of every other fan to ensure that this is not tolerated and reported to the stewards and the club - bringing it up on every other post on this site will do nothing. While its good to see improvements in performances and results, the Utd result at the wknd should rightly bring positivity, however I think its still too early to get carried away - afterall we saw a few false dawns last year too.

It seems from some of the reaction to this tongue in cheek post that some people lack any sense of humour.

The way things are going I'd be pretty surprised if we don't win the league.

I am no Robertson fan but any new manager coming in would have to be a magician to improve our position with our current squad. You can't make honey out of hens sh##e.?

  28. yet again polworth shows his immaturity with his display when a lay-off was just behind him. i didn't se any apologies when he made a backside of two very good chances.
  29. A good performance from most players and apart from Baird's lack of discipline and ability, ICT showed that we are making the improvements necessary. A big cuddle from Robertson for Baird when Robertson finally saw the sence in replacing him. The only weak player today was Baird!
  30. Chalmers to replace vigurs? Or seedorf once fit.
