  1. What a humourless lot.

As long as we don't look like a The Rangers tribute group as we all too often have in the past. A stylish variation on red and blue vertical stripes with black trim will do nicely and reflect our heritage and, at least as far as Scotland is concerned, unique identity.
  3. Not quite so dangerous BS as those who add fuel to harmful and unfounded rumours about the club heading for administration.
  4. That one's even worse.
  5. I agree that McKay and Draper are past their best and that Tansey is not the player he once was. Vigurs, on the other hand, is in his prime and I would be much more disappointed to see him in a County shirt than any of the others. Let's hope he goes for the option of long term security rather than a short term cash boost
  6. ??? Safe to say the 'Parochial Wee Mannie' trophy won't be leaving your mantelpiece any time soon Chip Charles.
  7. There was also season 2001-02 in the First Division where County were fourth with 52 points and ICT 6th with 48 points. Highland Derbies? Yes, they may appear to be some minor compensation for the Highlands totally losing Premiership status in a period of just 12 months. BUT, to be realistic, latterly these derbies were very much a declining attraction. They just didn't seem to have the charisma of the earlier years and crowds, which determine income, had declined into the 3000 bracket compared with over 5000 in Division 3, and indeed 4950 in the very last derby at Telford Street in 1996. From an ICT point of view it should maybe also be remembered that the attendance of Ross County fans at derbies in Inverness latterly became very thin indeed. (Collectively rather than individually, I mean. ?)

I quite like the home Palace top - it would be ideal, just swap the yellow for black!
  9. Anyone know if there's any movement to finalising the stands / Tulloch deal? At this rate Brexit will be resolved before this...
  10. Almost bad as the naff "Pride of the Highlands" on the official club crest.
  11. Mixed feelings regarding County's relegation. Having zero Highland clubs in the top tier of Scottish football isn't great for many reasons. It does however, give us some respite from their fans gloating and from having the upper hand in attracting some players. Though they may still hold that advantage with financial clout. They will have parachute payment + Celtic Euros alongside McGregors bucks. Although strong and reputable chatter about Roy's diminishing involvement both as Chair + financially over the next few seasons should concern the Staggies ranks. I believe Vigurs options may now have been curtailed. With County out of top Division + D Utd also resigned to life in the Championship those options look less attractive. Does that increase our chances of keeping him? I certainly hope so, fantastic player for us. Dunfermline still in the hunt and further afield the torn faced bitter one and his dad wants him at Plymouth, whilst an SPL club reported to be sniffing too. Is his agent playing with a straight deck, possibly not. I do think, despite getting rid of McIntyre prematurely ( not Dodds though - he's a wee clown ), they boobed badly in going for the 'bling' of Coyle but have fallen on their feet with Kettlewell and in part, Ferguson, but I am of the opinion , it is Kettlewell as boss, Ferguson as assistant. Not sure why it's labelled as a joint management duo. They do have a more robust and a more joined up thinking type off infrastructure behind the scenes and it is resourced well. I look forward to the El Kessocko's being highlighted on our fixture list next season. Development of the areas around our stadium could be extremely vital to what kind of future we have as a Club. Interesting......intriguing,... most certainly!
  12. This phottie is bound to elicit mixed emotions from most posters - in my case happiness and gloating.

I'd be happy with the Palace home and away kits too. As said above, just replace the yellow piping with black.
  14. In all seriousness I feel sorry for RC with their relegation today ......

I've never really got the 'we look like Rangers' thing either. That said have stripes as a consistent thing does help create an identity that is unique in Scotland as far as I know. Plus if done right they look better than some random mess akin to the upholstery on a D&E coach.

We've had several! Stripes do help, though...
  17. Are you ready, are you ready? Are you ready, are you ready? Are you ready to follow ICT for life? It's time again to stand up and fight It's alright it's alright Hand in hand we can face the caravan dwellers in Tinkerland One by one we gonna stand up with pride One that can't be denied Stand up, stand up From the Mallard to the Jail End below We'll all join together with memories of old Now the Young Team of Sneck can see There's a better place for us to be The place in which we have stormed oft before So neglected, torn apart and poor Every Jeggie and Caley man JOIN THE CARAVAN OF LOVE 2018-2019
  18. Even more reason for our fans to get behind the team next season. Grab a season ticket, get along to some more games, buy the new strip do whatever you can to get behind the team and help them get back to the Premiership scudding County along the way

Sounds like the new strip will be coming in around the 23rd of May this year.
  20. Yes, if the County go down we'll have the Highland derbies back again which might be a good thing in the short term where revenues for a few matches are concerned. Not a good thing for football in the Highlands as it makes both ICT and County look like teams who lack the strength in depth to sustain their status in the SPL year after year, even though we came creditably close to the play-offs this season. We'll see what happens on Saturday but I feel getting out of the Championship and back into the SPL will be a pretty tough call again.
  21. I think it was me who first mentioned admin. Albeit sarcastically.
  22. Seconded. Add "Cold Firm" to the list as well.
  23. The whole "rejects" thing is as laughable as the "County in the Premiership was good for Highland football" and "We don't miss the Premiership" bahollocks being spouted on here. Not one of those players we wouldn't have happily kept...and/or wouldn't have back. Not one of them wasn't made an offer to stay. Like it or not, they rejected us....not the other way round.

I really don't think we've had many if any shirts that could be seen to be a rangers top.
  25. Well done, you got the small "k"......but it's Mc, not Mac ?
  26. Is shankland signing from Ayr strong rumours he will be good move for him if he does! Scored a barrowload at a lower level hopefully could make the step up to the greatest team the highlands have ever seen!!

The only one I can think of would be the championship winning shirt from 2003-04 being similar to one of theirs from the season before. All the rest I don't see a resemblance.
  28. Anyone caught calling the Highland Derby 'El Kessocko' should face prison time.
