The team has just equalled the club record for the number of league games undefeated (22) and moved back into the play off places. It's a great achievement. Yet some of the "support" choose to boo the team at the end and to hurl abuse at our leading scorer who happened to score the 2nd equaliser tonight. It can't exactly encourage players to want to play for us if that is the kind of "support" fans give. Of course the recent draws are frustrating and we've lacked penetration going forward, but you don't go 22 games unbeaten if you are a poor side. The players themselves were clearly gutted not to have got a win from the game tonight. Perhaps if some of the folk who were constantly on the players' backs all night had shown a bit of support instead, then the players may have felt less pressured and played better as a result.

White's professional career stats whilst not prolific are none too shabby either, 216 games of which 72 were sub appearances and 91 goals. We don't know how many minutes he got as a sub or whether he was subbed as a starter but if we assume he was never subbed (highly unlikely) and that he played a full 45 minutes as a sub (again highly unlikely) he has a goals to minutes ratio of 56% or a goal every 178 minutes. Add in the fact that none of the teams he played for were recognised as prolific in terms of chances created I think his goal ratio is excellent whatever attributes his all round game may lack.

Keena who scored Dunfermline second is a 19 yr old on loan from Hearts. A quick look he has been scoring a few good goals. Again we are unbeaten and to come back twice demonstrates resilience. It has been said that no team in this league is unbeatable but we currently still are. Let's get behind the team Saturday and help keep that going.

What is it in a persons psyche that makes them think it is acceptable to subject another person to abuse purely on their perception that they didn't play well enough in a game of football? I'm not talking about a shout of "FFS" or "What was that" or even a "You clown" etc that comes in the moment when there's been a loose pass or missing a sitter...I'm not even talking about booing your own team (as much as I disagree with it)...I'm talking about foul mouthed, nasty, senseless shouting at players. I've said it on here umpteen times before...but I'll say it again. There are very few players I have met who come off after a poor game and aren't feeling it every bit as much as those who've been watching the game. The players don't expect false praise or fans to blow smoke up their butts...they know when the fans aren't happy because there is no applause and no cheering....they don't need or deserve whatever other nonsense some people think should be flung their way.

I thought Daniel did ok last night. The formation doesn’t lend itself to his style of play as he was a bit isolated in the wide areas. He is still developing physically and doesn’t have the strength to take on stronger defenders in a 1vs1 and doesn’t have the pace to win outright in a foot race. That’ll come. He was good at being tenacious when in the challenge and had a few good touches and kept the ball moving. He does better as part of a duo up top I think. Good to see Robbo experimenting with him and now he will know what Daniel is capable of when starting.

I've not been at any games this season, due to having a new baby, but I see we are back to the "lets drop Polworth stuff". No. Liam Polworth leads our team in assists with four - it's not much but it's more than anyone else. Saying that we should swap him for Austin is literal insanity. To my knowledge, Austin has never played a deeper role in his entire career and you are suggesting that he play there in a local derby against the best team in teh league, one that is particularly strong in midfield? Crazy talk. Also, you say that Austin is "a better playmaker at the moment" - we played last night and Polworth was involved in both our goals, setting up Calder and making an important tackle to secure possession for the second. We clearly don't have great strikers and have difficulty scoring - Polworth has good delivery from set pieces and I get the feeling that might be our only chance on Saturday. We'll see though.

I was not at last night's game so can't comment specifically on that but DD makes a very good point in general. There are, of course, negatives, not least the inability to score goals and convert some of these draws into wins. However, when you think back to where we were this time last season, there have to be more positives and negatives. This time last year, we were genuinely concerned that we might be facing successive relegations and were being regularly beaten. Now, nobody fears being in League One next season, we have not been beaten in the league since the Spring and we are genuine contenders for the promotion play offs even if that one automatic promotion place looks a bit distant at present. We could be winning more games but surely less negativity is in order.

Yep, Jordan is joint fourth in the BBCs Top Scorers chart for the Scottish Championship with a goal every two games ratio. If a team was employing a Moneyball approach, Jordan would be in the running and if I had scored and got booed, I'd be non-plussed too.

Totally ageee with you again,some of our fans are a disgrace ,first the Polworth saga,now White is the target of the boo boys and he actually has scored 3 in last 4 games its baffling.

Perhaps because he's scored twice as many goals for us than any other player and only 3 players in the Championship have scored more?

Polworth pass to Calder forbid goal was brilliant vision from Polly well done to both great bit of play.

Not the most disciplined performance, but I actually thought it was a pretty entertaining game. The proverbial end to ender....peaking through fingers when defending and ready to jump out of the seat to celebrate a goal when attacking.

We must be the slowest team in the league. Every team we play can counter at us with pace, and be at our box in a few passes, but we take forever to get any attack going, passing it back and forth along the back line until our opponents are back in their shape, and then we try to play through them, which we can't do as we don't have the guile or talent to beat a man and find the right pass. Too many of our players had a bad day and I lost count of the misplaced passes. We need to start taking more shots from outside the box, you never know what might happen, look at Dunfermline's second goal, what a scorcher, I can't remember the last time we scored one like that.

Cheer yourself up by imagining watching Barrow last season when they had White and Liam Hughes in the same side!

... and, it seems, the last year in the top division. I don't think these problems have melted away. It's not much fun, but the approach at the moment has surely to be to ensure survival, then sustainability, and, if things become stable, then look to see how we might move upwards again. Sure, if promotion comes along, we'll all take it. But then we'd have to decide whether to try to stay up with a minimal spend, or spend money which we haven't got. I would always opt for survival over risking the future of the club. Would be a shame to see 130+ years of history come to an end.

Isn’t it more the financial case that between investing / borrowing to get into the Premiership the strategy now is to remain in the Championship, with a largely home grown team, and break even - “sustainable”. And, if the Premiership can be reached on the cheap, once every five years to a decade, so much the better. Sadly, that means waving goodbye to £1.5 to £2m in prize money and instead getting £200k. Our Chairman is a risk management executive and it isn’t too much of a leap to see that in our dealings and I’m sure some agree with that strategy and some don’t. But any season ticket renewal PR next year should at least avoid overpromising and just state the plan ahead rather than muddy it and disappoint.

It's a little frustrating not to be a bit further up the table, but we're still very much in the game. Heck, if we were in Falkirk's position then I'd be wetting my knickers along with everyone else...but we're a long way from that and not even a third of the way into the season. The points on the board are fixed, they're done with, in the past....there's nothing we can do about them. However, there are still plenty of points to be won and we CAN do something about them. Believe ?

I went to a Rollerbowl night a few years ago. I was staying in the Fairways. After a good few sherberts I went to the Fairways bar for a night cap. The barman gave me my drink and added "Good night at the bowling Johndo" - I responded but then thought how does he know that I have been bowling. I asked him and he pointed down to my feet. Bowling shoes !!

Well at least no one is making the obvious crack about 11 blokes dressed as a football team. Uh-oh..... ?
