  1. You have to admit, it's quite unique, the club have made noises about this group being a bit special. Our U18s were very successful last season. The first team have kept the ones who are ready Dan, Roddy, Cameron etc and they will make their mark to cover injuries and suspensions when they come. The club loaning 9 players to fort helps keep the rest developing together and facing more challenging and physical games. I think it's a great move by the club and I'm hoping the experiences they have with fort will mean the lads stand a better chance of making it with our first team.
  2. Yes we will give them exposure and support. 9 players in one team or danny or hoban at elgin do deserve updates on this site. You dont have to read it. My neck is fully stuck out now. ??
  3. Let's discuss our youngsters here and keep us all up to date with their progress.
  4. Nope, it's called shrinkflation, you pay more for it and you get less of it, a bit like your cereal packet.
  5. Yeah I see myself looking out for the Fort William scores now after watching the documentary and with all our youth players there.
  6. I agree with you and can understand where you are coming from. Due to the post being titled 'Fort William - first league win in 882 days' the thread should have been posted in the UK Football forum where I'm tempted to move it to. If anyone wants to discuss the merits of the ICTFC loanees on this forum then I agree call it by their names or something similar that then relates it to ICTFC. It should be specific to ICTFC and not other teams, twist the thread round and angle it from the players perspective rather than the team perspective.
  7. 1 point
At this time we aren't thinking of it being a regular feature more a special for certain away days but that could change of course. I think it worked out quite well and getting the views of other fans before / after the game in Legends was good.
  8. for a start Machiado and Daniel do not play for Fort William. Second, I fully support Youth Dev so I will politely ask you to pull your neck in. My point is simple. This is not the first time we have put players out on loan to SHFL teams but we have never given those teams exposure on this particular forum! Will we in the future?
  9. Whew! Caleyboy, not a very positive attitude. Our boys are playing for the Fort and all fans should encourage them or other smaller teams to forge on, always trying; whether to improve or win matches it makes no difference. How do young players get experience if they aren't playing games anywhere they can get the nod knowing that our team is encouraging them.?
  10. Great assist from Danny Devine. Never thought he'd be beneficial to us after he left...
  11. Another hat-trick for Nat Austin yesterday. I make that 20 in 10 games for Kelty Hearts. Now that is impressive, at any level of football.
  12. Very much an ugly win, the wind ruined it as a spectacle, although I am always surprised footballers don't read the conditions and play the ball on the ground more. Doran and Walsh were rather quiet, as was Storey, and poor old White hardly got near anything...thought the Pars were going to pinch it, as they had a lively patch midway 2nd half. I thought all of our subs made a difference, and we had much the better of the last 20mins, although only one shot came out of it. MacGregor looks pretty decent, made us move the ball quicker, and Welsh clearly the best midfielder in the squad. The penalty was ball to arm IMO so it was lucky break, then Welsh scored down the middle with the penalty (not my preferred type of penalty!) With Dundee Utd losing yesterday, first place perhaps isn't a foregone conclusion. Enjoyed another away trip, it's easier/cheaper to get to some of these 'Central belt' game than get up to Inverness with us in the Championship, with the threat of games moving to Friday for TV, and no decent late afternoon flights back on a Saturday afternoon.
  13. Turning the draws into wins with options from the bench - that's been Robbo's mantra - it almost worked at Dens and today he pulled it off to perfection. A tight game, a shyte game - lots of those in this league - but we defended well throughout and changed the whole pattern of the game with early subs. I won't describe the chances because there weren't any but the defence was superb and MacGregor and Welsh on the ball were a joy towards the end - I hope to see them both start next week. Neutrals and Pars might see these points as a steal but we might prefer to see them as a promotion winning side being smart enough to know how to get them.
  14. Could be an interesting line up. Robbo saying Kellacher and Wilson will be in charge tomorrow, pick the team and decide any substitutes. He also says that MacKay, Harper, MacGregor, McHattie, Welsh, Trafford and Todorov will start.
