  1. After a poor first half the second half showing was much better and we got a deserved win. Morton were really poor for most of the game apart from when they got a lift after their equaliser. Criminal miss from Crawford in the first half and Ridgers had to look alive to deny a well struck shot but apart from that it was pretty dull. Wonderful strike from Allardice to open the scoring from about 30 yards with a sumptuous volley. Looked like an utterly bizarre penalty decision to allow Morton to steal their way back into it and they almost went 2 - 1 up when Muirhead lashed a free kick from miles out off the bar with Ridgers well beaten. Fortunately Carson bundled his way through the home defence right at the end to sclaff a shot beyond the despairing Schawke to give us a big three points. Standouts for us were Allardice, Carson and Shaw.

  2. What a ghastly, negative video with at least two thirds of it harking back almost 30 years to the least appealing aspects of a 2-3 year process that so far has yielded 12 seasons in the SPL/Premiership, a place in its top six, European football and a Scottish Cup win… not to mention lower league and Challenge Cup wins. I was also at all of these tense episodes shown here, and a good deal more… also as a BBC reporter. Many on this thread will also have seen the tale unfold live. I see no case whatsoever for a video of this length, most of which attempts to portray the formation of this club in an unduly negative manner.

  3. I agree but think the team we need to have in our sights is Ayr. They’ve only taken 7 points out of 21 so have slipped back from Queens Park and Dundee. Morton are also on a bad run with 3 points out of 15. I think it is between Ayr, Morton, Raith and us for fourth, so next Saturday’s game against Raith is a must win (they will probably overtake us on Tuesday) as is our game in hand the following Tuesday against Arbroath. If we can pull that off we will be very much in the mix. As always with us, it is a very big if!! Well done to the guys for getting the result yesterday.

  4. I think all eyes has to be on that Friday night game between Partick and Queens. We really need an away win there to have any chance of catching the playoffs.

  5. A terrific three points from a fixture we have struggled with this season. We seem to be having a good run of form just now, so let's keep it going against Raith next week. Well done all.

  6. I think there was only a limited number of the pre-final embroidered shirts made (100 is the figure in my head) -I got my other half one for his 50th. The rest were produced after we won - still my favourite shirt to wear - I liked the style that year and the embroidery added a nice touch.

  7. Four games in March starting with wins against Ayr and the cup game against Kilmarnock then a loss away to Queens and finishing with the battle against Partick where Mark Ridgers picked up 21 x 5 points and Grant Irvine the referee scored 3 Poor down to 11 Worse The winner for March is Jay Henderson Seven games during April a busy month so please keep voting

  8. As well as this merger video, Friday’s View from the Terrace also had a feature on Dyce Boys Club which mentioned and showed pictures of youngsters who went on to be successful. Most of the ones mentioned later went on to ICT - Ross Tokely, GraemeShinnie, Andrew Shinnie, Stuart Armstrong, and Stuart Duff too.

  10. Yup, reckon we need to take more or less full points from our remaining matches : little margin for error.at this stage. If we squeeze into 4th, I fancy our chances against whoever finishes 2nd and 3rd and then hope to go one better than last year................ Always was a glass half full type....!!
