  1. The winner for this season voted for by you is Billy Mckay. Billy started the season well winning for July and always puts in a great shift also winning in January and February. He had 41 appearances this season scoring 19 goals bringing his total to 100 for Inverness Caledonian Thistle, 1 short of the record held by Dennis Wyness. Congratulations to Billy a clear winner I hope he will sign another contract for next season and carry on scoring goals for us. 2. Funny how club are so quick to respond when they want to . One certainly likes to be heard when he wants to .
  3. The clubs statement reeks of talking around the issue. Lots of this is the procedure, we know how it should be done etc, but very little about what they actually did. Legally, they may feel like they've ticked all the boxes, but once again they are found wanting morally and it's another massive blow to ICTFCs reputation.

  5. TBH I'm not surprised we didn't offer Shane another contract, I thought it was pretty good of us to offer another year given he would, in best case only have 2/3 months of game time available. Unfortunate it wasn't to be but to release players via email is just pathetic. Reminds me of hearing about Tokley being released via text message back in the day.
  6. Regardless of whether you feel Shane should have got another contract or not...releasing players by email?! What are the club thinking? Totally unprofessional and frankly just unpleasant and uncaring. This is the sort of thing that, when word gets around, will put players off joining us as well.
  7. Do other clubs behave like this? Statement in reply to Shane Sutherland, advising of players who have been offered contracts but haven't signed up yet, stating Billy Mckay offered a new deal on reduced terms. All very bizarre and more negativity. Don't know Scot Gardiner, main opinion of him is from Wyness Shuffle podcasts where he comes across as a bit of an arrogant and huffy man who would not be very approachable. Being tipped towards not renewing my season ticket as don't like the way the club is run or how it communicates very poorly with us fans. 😢
  8. More of the same!!! Sporting director Robertson - what a pathetic figure and role (chief new stand consultant and player email contract advisor). You couldn’t make it up the way this board and CEO just stumble from one calamity to another. Tipping point - just nailed my decision to skip a ST renewal!
  9. Do people need reminded of concertgate? Given the propensity of the current club guardians to screw people over and then spin the legalities to make it look like they're the injured party, it's maybe a bit quick to be coming down on their side in this matter 🤷‍♂️
  10. Fans might be a bit more sympathetic to the club if it had done anything but erode trust between the two groups over the last few years.
  11. Honestly what a mess
  12. 'Interviewed by the Sporting Director' wtf is he still doing around. Wage cuts, players released ,but we still have a Sporting Director. Honestly, time to look at who's contributing off the park, and who is living off past reputations.
  13. If it's correct that Billy Mckay has been offered reduced wages in a new contract, they are playing a dangerous game, we can't afford to let a quality player like Billy leave, unless they have someone better to come in and replace him. We need all the proven goalscorers we can get.
  14. Disgusting way for the club to behave 😡. What is going on in there?
  15. I think folk get that tbh. But telling someone by email isn't a good look....
  16. We just seem incapable of handling things professionally or with a bit of humanity. This is not the first time player departures have been handled extremely poorly. Really poor show.
  17. We are a tinpot club and have been for the last few years
  18. I was thinking the same but just looked it up and it was actually 2009/10. The season we overhauled Dundee to win the title, Airdrie finished bottom. We got 3 wins and a draw against them.
  19. Yeah I did some googling on Shaw and couldn’t find any reliable mention of contract term anywhere. I’d forgotten we got him from AFC Fylde - a good bit of recruitment, finding a bit of a gem way down the pyramid. We’ll need more like that this summer.
  20. This is what the club said when he signed: https://ictfc.com/nathan-shaw-signs-for-ictfc/ Normally if the deal is more than one year (eg Delaney or Ram) they give the number of years, but they didn’t for Shaw, so we don’t know his situation.
  21. Thank you for all the work you put into this. I am sure all of us appreciate it. Just waiting to see who the CTO Player of the Year is.
  22. Nerd alert - Pretty sure we haven’t played them since the CC Final in 2003. It’s the club in the SPFL we’ve gone longest without playing, not including Bonnyrigg 😇
  23. With only two games in May and June I have combined the results. The poor game against Ayr where we didn't turn up and the Scottish Cup Final against Celtic where we turned up and gave a good account of ourselves and after scoring had them worried for about five minutes The winner for May/June is Cameron Harper Wallace Duffy and David Carson a close second and third. Thank you for all your votes and look forward to starting again next month.
  24. NFICT (Normal For ICT)
  25. Apparently Cammy is already contracted to 2024 Another one that slipped through the net.
  26. Just hope the club have his ‘’email ‘’address
  27. Doran signed on for another year.
  28. Whatever happened to his court case for betting irregularities? Won't look good for him if he is telling porkies here.
  29. Seems from this like he may have declined the offer of a face-to-face...so as per procedure perhaps the club informed him by email instead. No-one comes out of this looking good. Shane perhaps didn't realise this was the procedure, which may or may not be a communication failure on the club's part. Regardless, its not very classy of him to criticize the club - or the medical team - on social media, especially if he has (intentionally or otherwise) misconstrued things. Likewise, the club needs to do better. That statement reads like a stream of consciousness that really hasn't been double-checked or thought about. The response could and should have been more diplomatic and more professional-sounding; all it is missing is the word 'concomitant'. Perhaps someone should have reached out to Shane first, talked him through things and suggested he clarify things on social media first (maybe they did, of course). The club also needs to recognise that its past record regarding communication with players (remember Josh Meekings' release?) and fans leaves a lot to be desired. Until they actually try to restore trust, we won't trust them when we hear accusations like this.
  30. Embarrassing and incredibly tin-pot for a club who can't communicate with fans on engage on any matters (and certainly not timely updates online) but can retaliate with towards a twitter post from a player immediately.
  31. It's well documented that Acl injuries have a effect on footballers mental health and the journey to recovery so for a club that promotes mens mental health charities to treat the players this way is not acceptable...shame on the board
  32. Inverness Courier has a story on it
  33. Scott Burns in the record. However, to correct what I've said it's reduced terms his been offered. So wages could be fine but contract length might be an issue.
  34. Always 2 sides to a story. Club denying Shane was told by email. He had face to face then received email confrming detail of meeting. "A Caley Thistle spokesman insisted that the process had been followed fully and properly, with Sutherland interviewed by sporting director John Robertson. what's the odds. Either way, it's getting a bit messy out there, however please reserve judgement until both parties have their say.
  35. I bet Coco the clown never got his 2 year head coach extension by email ! Well done Shane for going public . Show these Dundee mob for what they’re worth .
  36. Not a good sign. Where have you seen this if you don’t mind me asking. Good on Shane for outing the club like this though, even if it has made me feel second hand embarrassment.
  37. The club is a joke. Imagine informing players that they are being released by email. Absolute disgrace. No wonder we can't attract players if this is how we treat them. Embarrassing + it sounds like he was having to pay for his medical treatment and the club physio informed him it will be cheaper to retire. WTF 🤬
  38. 1 point
Thinking about positions (depending on who stays) but CB, RB, CM, RW/RM, LW/LM, CF https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/scottish-premiership/endendevertraege/wettbewerb/SC1 https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/scottish-championship/endendevertraege/wettbewerb/SC2 Plenty options out there, wouldnt mind seeing Blair Alston, Kai Fotheringham, maybe a young striker also Mikey Devlin alhough he has a horrednous injury record could be a gamble at CB as hes a quality player when fit. It'll all be driven by our budgets though and not sure in some cases we can afford the level of player to replace some of those leaving
  39. Dundee, Airdieonians, Dumbarton and Bonnyrigg Rose.
  40. Couldn’t care less about the non footballing staff at the club if honest.
  41. Disappointed that Shane is not getting an extension but it is presumably because of his injury rather than his ability. A club that loses an underlying £0.8m a year needs to cut costs and I guess we just can’t keep paying for wages, rehabilitation costs and potentially further operations for players who aren’t playing. We did all that for a year for Sutherland and Walsh too, who I’d imagine will suffer a similar fate.
  42. Glad the feel good factor from the cup final lasted a whole five days.
  43. Offering Mckay reduced wages to sign a new deal
  44. What the hell are we thinking here releasing players by email?
  45. Its almost like they forgot about Hyde and shoved him in with the already announced Duffy. Baffling to be honest.
