  1. Gardiner has never had a go at me so that is a first and suggests that he is a real nobhead

  2. He's clearly misunderstood. Happens with a lot of genius types.

  3. His position is becoming more and more untenable every day. If he had any dignity he would have resigned along with Dodds and Robbo. Struggling to think of anything useful he's actually accomplished whilst being C.E.O. I fully expect him to have to be pushed out the door though.

  4. From my first ever meeting with the CEO I felt he was looking down on me as just a stupid female fan with no consequence. I’ve never felt that before and, in my working life of over 35 years with the Police Service, I’ve worked with several Chief Constables and umpteen top senior officers and they never looked down on me. They treated me as a valued colleague and team member, the same as ICT Board and CEO should treat the fans. The CEO has no interpersonal skills as far as the fans are concerned, which is his fault.

  5. If true, would be interesting to know on what basis. The image in that post tells me everything I need to know. I don't know the guy, never had any run-ins with him, in fact never had a conversation with him despite sending him a potential contact (via the Chairman) during COVID that could have helped the club (who he never even bothered to call) ... but have never heard anyone say a good word about his role at the club (or any other club). If he is now censoring the players from speaking to fans via the podcast or through any other means then that is next level workplace toxicity. The club's appointment of Big Dunc papered over the cracks, as many pointed out at the time, including myself, but that doesn't mean we should forget all that went before, nor should we accept it.

  6. Don’t know how we’re going to cope without Sheridan.

  7. I'm no SG or RM fan (far from it and would happily see them put under heavy pressure and challenging questioning), however the difficulty given the lack of communication and transparency is that we don't know what the expectations or objectives are within the club as a whole or for individuals. Therefore while we all look in thinking its a 'sh1t show' there may be a case that SG is meeting the boards expectations and they are happy with his performance and contributions with the issues around fan engagement & communication not actually being considered important to anyone.

  8. He wouldn't have offered the same kind of hospitality to any Celtic folk. If you get my drift!!!

  9. Even if he was fit I wouldn't want him playing given the circumstances.

  10. A rational decision by Wotherspoon. Like many footballers reaching the end of their contracts the big question is what happens next if you fail to get another contract or retire and do not have alternative means. It was great watching him help us move off the bottom.

  11. It’s confirmed that David Wotherspoon will be joining Dundee United when his short term contract with us expires early next week. Unfortunate but inevitable given his performances and his family being in that area. 13. Wonder what Liam would say about Gardiner…invite to the pod??

  14. Whys it a con? The seats are sold, they can't be resold so whether empty on the day or not its still a ticket sale and that person is entitled to turn up or otherwise.
    1 point
  15. It’s a bit of a con, but it seems that we count tickets sold rather than bodies turning up, and we’re not the only club doing it. So all season tickets are counted. I’ve got one but it hardly gets used.

  16. Don’t do it on Friday: there will be a big away crowd so we will probably have an announcement saying something between 2500 and 3000.

  17. Going by what comes over the tannoy at home games. Next game, I'll count those in attendance. Will likely be more interesting than the football match.

  19. I honestly don't have a clue why. They were far less negative about the club then a lot of fans to the point they were accused of "kissing a**" so to hear that they've been banned from speaking to players n staff is quite surprising.... even some members of the pod don't know why. So I'd imagine only Moffat n Stevie know the reason.... Thought it was a bit odd this season that they hadn't had any players or staff on for interviews cause they normally have at least one player or staff member on for a interview. They even had our performance analyst on one episode. On the Christmas podcast they mentioned after the interview with Billy Dodds that it would be pretty much impossible to speak to Big Dunc so that raised a few eyebrows. They even spoke to Deas cause he's obviously a former player. Now it's come out that they are actually banned from speaking to anyone from the club! Which is just madness and the decision was purely down to Gardiner. Just an appalling way to treat your fans especially the guys at the podcast who devote a lot of time, money & effort into the club.

  20. 2k crowds, you obviously haven't been down in a long time. I'd hate to see actual attendance stats for the past season or two. Going by the level of support we're not even championship.

  21. If we had won all 6 surely we’d be second 3 pts off the top? a win against Raith and Utd drops their points down to 41 and 38. Our first 6 gives us 17 extra points giving us 38 joint with Utd. Not that this was ever likely.
    1 point
  22. I doubt that as we haven't got the quality in the squad that Partick and Raith and United have got, although we're probably on a par with the rest. Given that Dodds got only 1 point in 6 games and Dunc has got 20 in 14, you would have to have won all 6 to be in the top 4 right now.

  23. We're a mid table Championship club. That's our level. Averaging 2K home crowds. We have repeatedly failed to be anything more than that. We are on a level with the rest of the teams in the bottom half of the Championship. We are miles off Ross County, admittedly due to Uncle Roy's money, but a fact is a fact.

  24. Top 4 is optimistic but as ever its a tight league so a good run and decent signings we are probably around a similar level to everyone excluding DUtd, PT and RR. From an entertainment perspective beating Morton last game of the regular season in a winner takes all shoot out for 4th would be pleasing before getting back to winning ways against Raith in the play-off semi would be hilarious. Especially as fans from both teams seem intent on gloating about how impressive they are this season.......suppose if you're starved of success for generations a few wins in the lower leagues is a bight beacon.

  25. Aye if it wasn't for that horrendous start to the campaign we'd be right in that top 4 or thereabouts

  27. I'd agree in terms of Bray, defo needs more game time. If we got MacGregor back to what he was two seasons ago, then those two plus Anderson, Gilmour, Welsh [if he stayed fit], Longstaff and Shaw...plus Carson., would give us enough in midfield with creativity and energy to more than compensate for Wotherspoon going [but thanks for his goals]. But we need another decent striker to support/stand-in for Billy. Ideally one that could hold the ball up {a hybrid Sutherland/Todorov]

  28. In my opinion the only reason David Wotherspoon is not playing in the (Scottish) Premiership this year is that he has lost a bit of pace and sharpness required at that level. It is clear he is still a very intelligent and classy football player. He was instrumental in dragging us out of the hole we were in (which hopefully we are not slowly sliding back into) and increasing the performance levels of other players around about him. Should the move to Dundee Utd materialise, he will almost undoubtedly be on higher wages, with a high probability of winning another medal and (I would imagine) closer to family and he will go with my best wishes! Hopefully we can uncover an unlikely gem to fill his boots in the second half of the season. I'd say prior to his arrival Keith Bray was our most promising player of the season....would like to see him getting more game time in the next few months. Looking at the table, can't help but feeling what an opportunity this season was/is to at least make the play-offs. Even despite our horrendous start to the season and our recent poor run of results, we are still not that far away from 4th position. I don't want to give up all hope of Highland Derby play-off final just yet!....

  32. Just found out he's banned the Wyness Shuffle Podcast from speaking to any players or members of staff that's why they haven't spoken to anyone from the club this season. Absolutely no clue as to why. Baffling decision! Can this guy be anymore of a d***head!?
