  1. I think The Rangers' problems go deeper than the coaching staff. Think they need a new CEO. Does anyone know of a CEO who has lost his job recently?

  2. I thought it was a pretty average game but quite open at the same time so there was plenty of opportunities to get excited about even if most efforts didn't trouble the respective keepers. Kelty played some nice stuff in the first half, lots of quick one touch passes which had us chasing shadows. Their pressing was quite intense as well. A pal commented it was quite similar to how QotS played against us in the recent midweek defeat. McIntyre was roasting Stewart at LB for us so it was puzzling when Mulgrew moved him into the middle of the pitch for most of the second half. That said his final ball was poor so even when he did beat Stewart he tended to cross it straight to Musa. We definitely got lucky with the penalty shout. At the time I thought it was a foul so happy to get away with one there if the highlights show it was a spot kick. We were much better in the second 45. Looked like Kellacher really encouraged our full backs push right up, helped by McIntyre leaving the Kelty right side for the centre. The first 10 - 15 minutes was probably our best spell of the game even though we didn't score. Fortunately Bavidge did eventually pop up with a close range winner. Nice dink into the box from Mckay to setup Gilmour who played a nice ball across goal for Bavidge to tap in. I've been very impressed with him in the few games I've seen. Think I read 7 goals in 5 games which is outstanding form. Decent setup at Kelty. All the portacabins are a bit naff but the social club is pretty good and the food was surprisingly enjoyable as well. Would go back again.

  3. For the above reasons the 8 8 8 thing is delusional. Christie would have us believe there's this well of untapped talent that's not been used over the years but even at this level we're shipping in youngsters from other clubs instead of using our own. Not saying we don't produce or have some decent younger players but not nearly the number we believe we do or is even possible? I don't expect Christie to be critical of the part of the club he's been responsible for years and I think it does ok all things considered but we do need to be realistic. If we can't create or honour a pathway to the first team (and not just the bench) in league one then what's to encourage these young players in future and stop them heading over the bridge or elsewhere where they'd at least get better money?

  8. The rangers CEO Patrick Stewart trying to get them “ To boldly go where no man has gone before ”. Time to beam him up, in fact Scotty you are just the man to do it. But then, can you change the law of physics.

  10. Get big Dunc in there too as defence coordinator. Also add Robbo as media match commentator to make a full pack of ICT connections. “Dream team”! bc

  12. I heard today Dodds name being mentioned as part of interim management team for Rangers. ‘Cant keep a good man down’. Knew his tactical nous would be sought after sooner or later. Just surprised Celtic have been found sleeping and hadn’t moved for him!!! bc

  13. With Kevin Holt just signing for Derry City we will no doubt look back on the last transfer window (s) as ones where we could have lost key experienced players.

  14. We are producing some and have in the past but not the quantity we like and for many them seem unable to kick on from schoolboy or youth to adult football. The idea we have a significant number all ready for professional level football like some kind of Busby babes or class of 92 is deluded. The best of what we have is getting game time and supplemented with better quality within the realms of our limitations right now which can only help their development training and playing with those guys while showing where the bar is - noting they are closer to first team gametime than any equivalents over the last 20 years!!! Too many want this utopian highland team which they would turn on when the current youngsters who struggled at HL level get taken apart weekly but our opposition.

  18. Talking to a couple of locals and even with their humble setup there's some fear that they have major financial issues. They were of the view that the money from us was budgeted for getting them through the season.

    • Inverness CT 0-2 Kelty Hearts - League 1
FULL TIME 0-2: After last weeks win at Cove, this was a massive disappointment. The only thing in our favour was that Annan lost as well and they remain three points behind us. It's the Caley Thistle Way; one step forward and two steps backward. Another difficult game next week away to Stenhousemuir.

    • Queen of the South 4-1 Inverness CT - League 1
Jack Hannah scored his first goal for Queen of the South after Alfie Stewart had opened the scoring for the visitors. Queens eventually routed the Caley Jags 4-1 with further goals from Jordan Allan and a brace from Admin Books. He really has it in for us and was a pain in the rain.
