Great news, well done. But kills off any slim chance of him signing a contract extension with us!

It could also demonstrate to him and others that they don't need to move club in order to get international recognition.

    We have had a significant number of call ups in the last few years. It may well be the case that players are more likely to get a call by coming and staying here than going elsewhere. Rooney would surely have been in the thoughts of the Republic of Ireland had he stayed here but he certainly won't be if he can't get a start at Swindon.

    Only 16 players in squad now, with 3 keepers. Andy will likely get a run out, with outside chance of a start, as only 3 midfielders named in squad, he may get the nod for an attacking mid position. Billy Stark knows what he is capable of too.

    Hope he gets on the park and performs better than Black which won't be difficult!

    Whilst Blackie had a good case for inclusion on merit in that Futures/B squad, it was the fact that the game was being played in Inverness that cemented his place. There seemed to be a convention that those squads would always include a player or two from the host club to boost the crowd.

    Andy Shinnie is in the starting 11 tonight. Well done lad!
