A day that will live in the memory forever  can't believe that it was eighteen years ago.

Absolutely.  Even the preceding Saturday was memorable for a different reason with a futile trip up from London (for 4 of us) for the postponed game .

My relationship with Caley started almost five decades ago standing under the elm trees at Telford street wearing my red and black scarf and cheering the opposition ?

You must have been very lonely there on your own.

I had lots of imaginary friends. Still do ? Speaking of the elm trees, I remember turning up for a derby match sometime in the eighties to find they'd been felled. I am guessing Dutch Elm Disease but maybe someone from the blue side of the merger can confirm.

It was when I had to venture into the Howden End to get a pie ?

If only I'd made it to Parkheid that night - will watch the 'A night to remember' DVD at the earliest opportunity...!

Made it to the sequel in 2003 though....happy days!

Aye, eighteen years. Still wear the same hat and scarf to games as I had that night (I'm cheap, not superstitious).

Passing thought - phones didnae have cameras then. There'd be a lot more on the web about the game if they had.

Our famous win was just featured on BBC's football Focus in a piece about Ross Tokeley and Brora Rangers, prior to their game at Killie today.  Great to see the goals again.

Good luck to Brora, and Cove as they fly the flag for the Highland League in today's 5th round.

Yes that was nice to see...I had someone come up to me this week on the day of the anniversary talking about it, there was something on the BBC website....that was nice too

Not just for the Highland League - they’ve outlasted the region’s SPFL sides ICT, County, Elgin and Peterhead in this tournament!

The journey ends for them both but they were far from disgraced.
