I've been full of admiration for what JR has achieved since he came back as manager but I think that is a simply appalling interview.  For a start, how dare he  criticise these young lads for disrespe

It looks like we will be giving some of the young ones a chance tonight - 7 changes from Saturday. Hopefully they will get lots of encouragement tonight.

A bit steep £15 for this should be a freebie for us loyals ! Think wel loose tonight that's something iv rarely said hope I'm wrong see a sore 1 coming up

Just had a look at the on-line programme for tonight's game.  I must say I rather like the idea of reading the programme before heading off to the game. Robbo is having a go at the fact that the English, Welsh and Irish clubs in the competition all have a bye into the 2nd round.  It seems a bit unfair but all the more reason to make sure we win tonight.  It would be unfortunate if we, as champions, were out of the competition before they had even come into it.

Robbo also doesn't mince his words about certain off field matters.  Let's hope everybody gets properly behind the team tonight.   :ictscarf:

for those posting "Longridge" in Gringo's NPL as the first pars scorer .... you may want to go back and edit your post before kick off to make it clear. Dunfermline have two players of that name in their squad - Louis and Jackson and both have scored this season.

Luckily the link to the programme is in the twitter feed. If you go to the official site you will be hard pressed to find it. Maybe a link to it could be provided in Scotty's match day thread from now on?

Guess it doesnt matter since neither are playing or on the bench !!!

Dunfermline score from a penalty 0-1 ?

1-1 Jordan White ...... ?

Is it straight to penalties if it’s a draw at FT ?? If so, I hope Liam goes first and blasts a hole through the back of the net !!!!!

1-2, nae penalties then. Out another competition ....... concentrate on the league ?????

Poor result. Fringe players did themselves no favours against what was pretty much a Pars colt team.

Out of two cups by 14th August and no potential Belfast/Dublin jolly. Magic.

Regardless of what cup it is , a cup run is still a cup run and out of 2 before the end of August.

Poor call by  Management team tonight .

Celtic knocked out of 2 cups ON 14th August!

Their 'U21' was effectively an U18, as I suspect was many of the teams in the top half of the colts tier.  Kind of pointless having them in unless they actually have to field mostly players over 20.   Scottish cup run for money (kind draws) - no cash in Betfred or IrnBru -  and fresh legs in the league.  Don't have the depth to be doing Betfred and IrnBru for hee haw.

Don't read too much into this defeat. Pretty much a reserve game. Shame it cost £15 to witness it.

Riccardo Calder did his prospects no harm. Nobody else caught my eye until Oakley and Walsh came on.

By the way, we always try and add a link on our own CTO Preview if it is available at time of our preview being published.

Strange that Robertson was fully behind this cup last year and yet this year totally disrupts the good team spirit he enthused about then by making wholesale changes. We really had a good chance to progress in this competition now we have little left other than the league. Saying that I thought Walsh and Welsh were both excellent as was Calder.

Polworth I am afraid really looks like a player who needs a change, I said that on Saturday and nothing changed my mind tonight.

Big shout out to all who attended the game, just over 1000 a great crowd.

I liked the comment to the team lines on ICTFC Twitter:  'It's coming home' ?

We had 5-6 senior players more last year.  Can't have our cake and eat it.

I take your point.  But exiting two cups and winning only one game in the last four isn't going to do much for the team's confidence.

The only real priority this season is the league and we are undefeated in the Championship since March. Let's get a few more league points on the board starting with three on Saturday.

Surely the club wanted to at least get through to the second round of the cup they won last season?  So why did Robertson change so many players? Especially considering that we don't have a game thìs Saturday. We went all out to win this trophy last season by playing our best eleven, so why did we not give it our alĺ this time?

Again, it was obvious that the team needed width, which only happened when Walsh was introduced as a sub in the second half,  that gave us Calder on the left and Walsh on the right snd they started to get behind their back four and get crosses in. We had so many chances just begging for the right touch, but no, it wasn't to happen, and then Polworth gives the ball away on the half way line, and the rest is history. I know it's early in the season, but I'm having a bad feeling about this season already.

No game for us this Saturday......we are out that competition. Next game is Alloa on 25 Aug .
