January signings

Robbo is closing in on his first signing after agreeing terms with a left sided player to replace Calder. The player won't play until January as he was contracted to an overseas club until after August. From today's P&J.

None of this historical manager chat is relevant or productive and its been done to death. This has little to do with the topic of January signings and TBH is the regurgitated huff we should expect if we were in the Premiership and had no games or anything to show interest in for a few wks - right now there's more interest in deciding who shafted the club the most between Butcher, Hughes and Foran than there is about upcoming games.

Brad Mackay and Shaun Rooney suspended for Saturday and three others with flu according to the courier. Graham Rae will need to play himself at this rate...

Maybe he'll be up top alongside white for a 4 4 2...

I did find it strange that the Manager was unwilling to spread his germs by speaking to people in hospitality, but was quite happy to spray it around the players in the dressing room.

Would certainly add some mobility to our front line.

Having a Good businessman in charge these days is probably a good thing is it not?

Two for one... canny see that.

This is Liam Polworth isn't it.

Rumours are that St Jones Town are offering Stefan Scougall and Callum Henry for Polly ?

Highly rated by St Johnstone fans but spent most of his last loan spell at Brechin injured IIRC

about time it was showing then

St Johnstone apparently making a bid for Polworth.

Saw on line he is in talks with a club.

We have brought this on ourselves. Fans near me are on his back for everything and miss the vision he has.

Not sure if it is a pre contract or whether they want him now.

Either way, we will be poorer without him but I wish him well. His goal and celebration in Dingwall when we won 3-0 springs to mind.

I really hope the fans support our local youngsters as they break through. Otherwise the lure of other clubs will overshadow us.

What a wonderfully exhilarating and frustrating couple of weeks that was - the massed fans reception for the team arrival back at Renfrew airport was fantastic, any travellers passing through there must have thought we'd won the darn thing!

That must have been Scotland's earliest ever World Cup exit: Renfrew Airport closed in 1966.

Have to wait for the financial statement then ?

yeh and I wonder why the accounts have not yet been issued ?

Generating funds for decent players is a perennial problem. Maybe we should start advertising our home games as 2015 Scottish Cup Final reunion parties.

Might attract some of the ten thousand or so who were there but haven't bothered to do anything to support the club since.

With Cammy Mackay back from Rothes, Daniel Hoban is on loan to Forfar for the rest of the season.

and is our expensive Fon Williams still with us?

I'm sure Daniel will learn a lot more with Forfar than he would in HFL. Could be a good move for the boy.

and, in the long run, for the club.

Is that starting 11 or the bench?

Makes no difference if he's bench warming in the spfl or hfl.

why put him on loan to sit on bench? The reason players are put on loan is to get game time thet can't get here.

Does the wage not get paid or part paid for by the loanee club also?
