  1. Gnakpa..."off the pace"...give me a break, we would have been better off going to 10 men than having him on the park. Players have off days, days where things don't go their way etc, but there's no excuse..not a single reason...for anyone to do what he did today and that was nothing, nada, not a jot. I couldn't believe what I was witnessing, he put in zero effort and didn't even look like he was bothered by the fact. For anyone calling themselves a professional footballer, that was shameful and showed utter disrespect for his team mates, the club and the fans who paid good money to watch him come on for a wee wander around. There was one ball where he thought about giving chase, but then realised that it would take more than two steps so just gave up. I'm slower than a week in jail and I could have caught it!!! Really gets my goat up when players plainly have no interest in trying and it was so bad with Gnakpa today that I would be quite delighted if he never pulled on the ICT shirt ever again...in fact, let's just send him home now so we don't risk it rubbing off on any of the other players.

  2. First league win of the season against Aberdeen today. 2-1, well done boys, just the lift they have been needing

  3. Gregory Tade - 25 (first season in SPL) Billy Mckay - 23 (first season in SPL) Greg Tansey - 23 (first season in SPL) Shane Sutherland - 21 Sam Winnal - 21 (first season in SPL) Graeme Shinnie - 20 Nick Ross - 20 Roman Golobart - 19 (first season in SPL) Josh Meekings - 19 (first season in SPL) Call me a 'happy clapper' if you want but the fact is we just dominated an SPL game and came away with a draw, hardly a disaster. Some of the rants against the team on this forum are totally over the top. We had a major rebuilding job in the summer and now have a young, inexperienced squad which has fought its way from relegation favourites to midtable despite our worst ever run of injuries and suspensions. Young players need patience and support, not unrealistic expectations and abuse.

  4. Today i thought his tactics were spot on solid at the back good going forward We actually got the ball in the box played it on the ground and i could count the amount of long balls on one hand We outplayed killie today just getting the ball in the back of the net was an issue

  5. I like to see it as 1 point nearer to safety You have to be the most optimistic supporters we have Personally I'm looking at it as one fewer game of the season I have to endure and one match closer to the end of my tenure as a season ticket holder For anyone brave enough to bother watching this on Alba please pay close attention to the cameo to Gnakpa. Not sure if it was just me but he didn't look the slightest bit interested in playing, it was almost as if it was an inconvenience for him to brought on. Think he broke out of a jog once only to give up on a ball he could have reached Also the ref had a shocker in the second half

  6. I see the problem now...apparently Terry doesn't attend the same matches we do. From today's Scotsman: "Butcher, on reflection, was generally satisfied with his side’s performance at Tannadice but he bemoaned a lack of invention. “I’m just looking for us to do a little bit better than Monday night,” he said." £21 entry, £25 petrol...can't say I was 'generally satisfied', must confess.

  7. We had 17 shot to killies 3 and were by far the better side the only thing we lacked was a ruthless streak as butcher pointed out in his interview we've played much worse than that and won How many of those shots were on target or came anywhere near being goals? Killie were nothing special either and really should've been there for the taking. No different than the team that played rangers? Yeh only winnal, golobart, tokely, and Sutherland? (correct me if Sutherland did play against rangers) it was a totally different side. I meant the attitude and effective-ness of the team. Some thing never change. It's fair to say not everything worked for foran but he wasnt awful, he put in a c**t of a shift today. No player was awful today effective-ness? sorry but against rangers we conceded 4 goals and 20+ shots the defense was definatly more effective thats not to mention our shots. as for the shots on target we had 8 times more than killie. and attitude? did you not see the drive from foran today to get on the end of the corner which led to the goal and get to the through ball to create the one on one which admitidly he should of put away but bell done well aswell. again we are back to the point of foran working his arse off. he led the team magnificently it wasnt about what he done when he got the ball today it was about what he done to get the ball his attitude was top class. he could hardly run by the time he was subbed off. like him or not no one in our squad has more desire than him. '' '' thats contructive. I'm sorry to go against you mate, but I hardly find a defense that leaks 4 goals but keeps out 20 shots on goal, effective. I see where you're coming from as they kept out the majority, but they should be minimising those chances in the first place. Also I think there's a lot to say against the midfield who let a team through them enough to have that many shots. But I can't back you up on Foran. You can run, put your heart into a game, but it means nothing if you don't actually do anything of menaing. And unfortunately Foran doesn't. The most consistent thing he will do is moan at the ref and his own players. And once again as I've said before, Billy Mckay? About as effective as a mannequin up front.

  9. One of the most frustrating games I've ever witnessed! The standard of finishing shooting was frankly embarrassing. To have time and space to get a shot away and yet not even hit the target is unforgiveable at any level of football let alone spl !!

  10. After today's result I have to congratulate the Staggies on an amazing undefeated run. They now deserve to be Champions. Hats off to them. They will prove formidable opposition next year in the SPL.

  13. Can't believe what I'm reading here! Tansey terrific?! Foran brilliant?! They were both awful, in fact a good portion of the team were not good enough. Do they not practice ball control and passing in training? That was a poor display today. And I see it's still kick and rush. No wonder people are turning away from going to games. Out of the team, only Esson, Tokely, Golobart and Tade would get a favourable mark, the rest were not good enough. Is Meekings just on the field to take throw ins? The team's no different to that that got beat by Rangers, and things must change for next season.

  14. Foran terrific! Thought he had an absolute howler. Couldn't do anything right though he did play his part on the build up to the goal. Not everything worked but no one could ignore the shift be put covered every blade of grass and for that I will say he was brilliant He led the team well IMO showing desire and passion to win By the end he was absolutely shot

  18. Yes still reasonably satisfied overall, I think Butcher has enough credit in the bank with most fans despite this dog's breakfast of a season. And the injuries have been a justifiable excuse for some of our problems. A crucial summer lies ahead however. The defence must be sorted if we are to stay up next season and that should not mean scratching around for loanees.

  21. I think there's two things here that are leading to frustration in some quarters. One is that ICT still have yet to achieve a top six finish. The SPL glamour has finally worn off and I think that many people are tired of the bottom six mediocrity that seems to happen every season. The club needs top six and needs it soon. Things have gone stale. The other, is the style of football. What we have to understand here, is that Terry Butcher is a long ball manager. He's done it here, he did it at Brentford, he did at Coventry and it was a big factor in his sacking at Sydney. Many people, and I know I am one of them, are sick of the game being played in the stratosphere. It's not football, it's not what people want to see. Craig Brewster played much the same style and was slaughtered for it - there was none of this "be quiet and look at the positives" attitude that seems to blind many people nowadays towards "dissenters" when he was in charge. I'm also no fan of this "it's Butcher's team and he can do what he likes" way of thinking, in fact, such a statement is absolute rubbish. It's not just Butcher's team - it's ours too. Butcher's got some people eating out of his hand, but take away the media savvyness that he brings, and what do we really have this season? At this point, not a lot.

  25. Waiting to see if we go a whole season without one. I actually like that our players are honest but it probably doesnt help us gain anything. Hope to goodness next week isnt decided on pens but if it is hope esson is on the pitch.
