  1. Excellent display and result once again from our boys at ICT. Well done to the guys on the pitch and the management team!! Must be our best start to a season so far? First half was a delight to watch with some very neat football. Second half was harder work with Motherwell pressing us hard and closing us down. But what a defence! There is always someone there to back up his team mate or to make last ditch tackles/clearances. Very impressive team work. Really disappointed with the attendance though. Credit to those who were there but this team deserves a far bigger crowd. So, for those who weren't there - switch Sky Sports off, do your shopping in Tesco's some other time, get someone else to fix your car etc, etc.................and get yourself along to support your excellent local football team!!!!!

  2. I hate it when we have to shoot towards the away end in the second half! Totally takes the momentum out of the game.

  3. For me a special mention must go to Ritchie Foran for an absolute stonker of a header from a great cross. For anyone who wasn't fortunate to be at the game you're in for a treat when you see the highlights, second goal wasn't that bad either........

  4. I must get my hearing checked. I could have sworn you said that Mark Brown saved a penalty.... I was confused too, but the full line from the BBC feed was, "Wotherspoon steps up but Mark Brown dives to his left to save a poor spot-kick." I suppose with the words "Mark Brown" and "save" in the sentence, the description of the kick is redundant.

  9. Will try to summarise that game having just got home. First half was exceptional, passing, movement, defending all excellent but the part of the game where we really impressed was attacking. We looked so dangerous going forward that Motherwell could not cope with us. The first goal was a great header from Foran but our second was an absolute joy to watch. Some quick passing and movement between Raven, Doran and McKay and the ball was in the back of the net. Great goal and Vincent had two opportunities to add to it. One was a shot which was deflected just over the bar and the next chance was a volley which screamed just over. We ended the first team in the ascendency. Second half was a much more scrappy affair where Motherwell had a lot more of the ball without really threatening. The changes they made seemed to help them and they were much better at holding the ball. It looked at times like we were happy to sit back and rest on our 2-0 lead but we defended resolutely. We had the odd attack forward but nothing clear cut other than a Doran chance late on. To conclude, first half was exceptional, second half we switched off a bit and were happy to let the game fizzle out

  10. Another great display and another clean sheet. I have to pinch myself everytime I look at the league table (which is rather often). Carry on the good work at Parkhead next week lads.

  11. Terry says stamina, style and steel, is how ICT play. Can't argue with that.

  12. Played really well first half. Knocked the ball about delightfully at times. Was real good to watch. Second half, Well came into it more and it was more even. All in all, an excellent day at the office.

  14. crowd elsewhere is kind of irrelevant though isnt it ... ICT .... a good season last year .... top of the league this year, undefeated in 3, no goals conceded, and a match against last year's second best team which is usually a ding-dong affair .... what more do we need to get a better crowd than 3031 !!!

  15. BBC Scotland's Kenny Crawford at McDiarmid Park: "Richie Brittain has Ross County's first proper shot on target and it sails over. "What a waste of money" sing the St Johnstone fans."

  16. This is "other football" - if all you want to see is ICT stick to the ICT forum. please dont tell others what they can and cannot discuss in a forum created for just that purpose ... even if it is the Rangers !

  17. Billy McKay 2-0 - guess he wanted to score :ictscarf: :ictscarf: ...and even better is Rob McLean having to talk about how well we are doing while his beloved County are getting humped !

  18. Thanks ! I watched tv and on "Ma chaîne Sport", there was Inverness-Celtic. It was November 19, 2011. ICT lost 2-0 but I liked the fighting spirit of this team and I was impressed by A.Shinnie and Hayes. From that moment, I followed the games and now I support ICT and I'm interested in Scottish football, including the national team. Unfortunately, "Ma Chaîne Sport" has stopped broadcasting the matches. I hope someday a French tv channel will broadcast matches. But I don't think many people are interested. Too bad for them !

  19. Gavroche - I love your use of 'automatism', please keep up the flow of French concepts into the SPL. Refreshing! What lured you to ICT?

  20. Did someone tell you it was a pigeon? You're a bit gullible if you believe that! I think it got substituted for a Utd player who was also useless on the wing.

  21. Another article in today's P&J from Terry saying what else can they do to improve attendances. Goes along with most of the posts on this topic above. But here's a thing... I'm a season ticket holder living in Elgin, come through with the Bairns to all home games. However, I have never once seen ICT promoting themselves in the local papers in Moray! ICT are our local Premiership team, only 30 odd miles away, but it would appear that any promotion of the club / season tickets is confined to the Inverness area. There's a large population as far as Buckie that have ICT as their nearest 'big' team, but nothing is being done to encourage people to come to a game, let alone buy season tickets. I am not sure what all the club does as far as promotion goes in the Inverness area, but they need to think slightly bigger. I see more County tops around Elgin than Caley ones - and it pains me!!!
