  1. 571 away fans. I know there will be a couple of neutrals in there but that's a cracking effort. With the success of Tuesday has this done more to highlight the issue of pricing in Scottish football?
  2. Another great result. First half sounded a bit dull, even though we bossed possession. But we came good in second half, with plenty shots on target and of course, the two goals. It will be difficult to stop many of us start to dream of European football now! Five out of five wins in January, magnificent! One more to go next Saturday for total January clean sweep. Can't be anyone but Yogi for Manager of month.
  3. Sounds like a bad one for Dean...but we have a very good replacement in Esson!
  4. "‘Big Terry and I were arch rivals at County and Inverness, but the truth is that we actually got on very well. We fought our corner for our football clubs, sure. But it gave everybody a wee bit of interest in the Highlands. It gave it all a wee bit of razzmatazz and edge. We had a go at each other in derby games. But look at the crowds since we left those clubs. They have dwindled. We made that game an occasion." http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2922757/Derek-Adams-reveals-truth-relationship-Terry-Butcher-David-Moyes-helped-job-search.html
  5. I mean yeah it is bad that young children are hearing the bad language. but im sure it was just a bit banter
  6. Noooo...the award is a curse, give it Aberdeen or Dundee Utd
  7. Five wins in a row equals our best at the top level! Last achieved in 2007/08 and also the season we won all our post-split games under Charlie Christie (2005/06). Another record could come our way next week if we beat County! As noted by Caley Mad In Berks, Hughes simply must get Manager of the Month for January! It is tempting to start dreaming about what this team could achieve this season - but for me, for now, that's top-six certainly clinched! Worrying about Deano - I suppose the prognosis depends on how much ligament damage has been sustained. I don't think we need to be making a panic goalkeeper signing in the remaining days of the transfer window, young Cammy Mackay can be the bench 'keeper.
  8. Excellent again and pundits still only looking at Aberdeen as a challenge for Celtic! Perfect - we only want the prize(s) in May! Terrific to hear there were 500+ ICT fans there - well done all!
  9. New laptop fired up just in time, great result.
  10. "If ifs and buts were pots an pans, there'd be no need for tinkers' hands..."
  11. If county can take anything from celtic today, however unlikely that might be and we beat Hamilton then we would go top of the league next Saturday with a win over county!
  12. I was gonna pay you in today, but after that....
  13. Today's game at Hamilton is ICT's 900th competitive fixture in all competitions.
  14. That's a bit of a 'blinkered' attitude, gingerjaggy! I fail to see how looking at players from certain clubs - County in this case - is 'selling ourselves short'. I infer that you think all clubs currently below us are not worth looking at as their players are clearly inferior to what we've got. Football isn't as simple as that. 'Club X' is currently doing better than 'club Y' therefore none of the players at 'club Y' would be good enough for 'club X'. !! Andrew Robertson would still be playing in level 4 if Dundee United had thought that 'scouting' Queen's Park games was beneath them.
  15. In other news, the Allied Carpets End may not have always been called that either.
  16. You been on the electric soup again IHE? See you tomorrow!.
  17. The Howden End was immortalised in the early 1970's. I do not know who exactly coined the phrase but it was at a time when the home ends in many of the big grounds had names that linked into the singing sections and the "lads". Cellic had the Jungle and Rangers had the Copeland Road, Aberdire had the Beach End but out of England sprung delightful names such as the Shed, the Kop, the Stretford End, The North Bank etc. if any one person drove the Howden End it was Norman Gordon who designed many of the hooligan type badges which revered the Howden End and songs arose from there. It became our territory, it became our identity, it became a name of pride, family and togetherness. There was no comparable end or section in the Highlands. Borough Briggs had the side section with it's stoopid fencing separating the two sets of fans although the Staigo were the best organised hooligans. I can't remember when the Jail End came about but we used to stand in on many occasions. Unfortunately my immortality was cursed on me many hundreds of years ago but my recent life span links me to the most endearing piece of tin wonders EVER. The end however was always the gathering place of the faithful. The Howden End is in the sky - the Howden End will never die - it will live on for ever.
  18. Is that your own family then?
  19. In all seriousness.......as long as ICT keep their place in the SPL then Yogi would be meeting my expectaions. if we finnished 10th....then he is still meeting my expectations.....if we finnish top 6 then he is exceeding my expectations. ICT are no longer a big fish in a little pond.....we are in with the big boys. We need to be realistic about our expectations. For that reason, id have to say that just being able to stay in the SPL each season is sucsess for me
