  1. I'm glad you're not the manager!
  2. Fans knew that we would play a weakened side unless tbeyve been on Mars all week.
  3. If ever a 5-0 beating can be seen as a good result, this was it. The major objective in ensuring no red cards or serious injuries to cup final contenders would appear to have been achieved. I was proud of the way we tried to play football right to the end, and never resorted to 'hoof ball' despite all the pressure we were under. In fact some of the football we played out of defence up to the final third was first rate, a point even conceded by the biased Sky commentators. I'm sure Yogi will have no problem getting the lads spirits up back up to scratch for the biggest game of our history next week. Bring it on, can't wait!
  4. Just as a reminder, this is Celtic's last game of the season. Because they aren't in the Scottish Cup Final.
  5. Yogi also got awarded the Football Writers Manager of the Year award today
  6. You just have.................. http://caleythistleonline.com/page/index.html/_/reports-2014-15/celtic-v-inverness-ct-spfl-r1276 report published............thanx Sky TV "Danny Williams did a Josh as Celtic looked to score a third just after the half hour, the ball striking his arm as Denayer headed from three yards, but Danny boy was looking the other way and the ref waved play on. I believe a letter is on it's way already, in fact the original has been cut & pasted, only the names have been changed........................
  7. Why are folk even bothers at who is playing and even the score tbh. Nothing game. Will be glad when over and onto the main event.
  8. Josh Meekings in a Danny Williams mask?
  9. 2 points
Stevie Hislop will be joining us in The Montford
  10. Yogi got it spot on today with team selection. The score was irrelevant, as we concluded our league business a fortnight ago. Am glad that game is out the road, as we can now concentrate on the main event Bring it on.
  11. No one mentioning the fact that we had 5 home grown players on the park in total today.
  12. I suppose there is a slim possibility the Compliance Officer could go after Williams for the handball, but I suspect he's learnt his lesson after Meekingsgate and won't bother wasting everyone's time.
  13. Don't give a flying feck if we lose 8-0 as long as Esson, Devine, Christie and Williams come through unscathed. These boys have far bigger fish to fry than this. And sort your lineups eh Scotty :)
  14. The accolades just keep coming! Well done Yogi - and also well done to the journalists who too often overlook what's going on up here! I heard Graham Spears on the radio a few weeks ago saying that he voted for Hughes and that many of his Glasgow-based colleagues had done the same. Winning both the awards in the same season is also an achievement - only Gordon Strachan, Walter Smith and Derek McIness have done it!
  15. Definitely ranks as one of the more satisfactory 5-0 defeats we'll ever experience.
  16. Celtic 5 Merkinch Brownies 3rd XI 0 No injuries. No red cards for violent conduct. Devine gets another 90 minutes under his belt. Cammy Mackay gets a run out. Job done.
  17. For me, only two embarrassing performances today, both from posters on here.
  18. Yeah, was good seeing the young lads getting a run out. Good prospects for the future, and sometimes good being on the end of a thrashing. Make's you want to work hard and improve your game. And i think if you asked anyone mid week about the team. Yes the line up might of been different in regard to the players rested, but we knew it was going to happen. We've got the biggest game in the clubs history next weekend, dont think anyone would have wanted us to risk most of our key/main players today incase of suspensions or injuries. Look at how they were trying to bully ryan today. Yes was a disappointing result, but its not the end of our season and we've next weekend to look forward too :)
  19. Sorry?? Nothing embarrassing at all. Keep it in perspective! Don't be sorry. Regardless of who is playing, no one wants to be on the end of a 5-0 defeat. It's the players confidence I feel for. The Cup final should remedy it though. Oh My...............Only three of them need to worry then as the rest were putting their feet up.
  20. Let them enjoy their party , we've done not bad out of Celtic this season ... 2 wins a draw & put them out of the Scottish cup lol
  21. None of us give a monkeys .. we're in the Scottish cup & they're no MON THECALEY !!
  22. Sutherland in Kink out.
  23. Not blowing my own trumpet but...
  24. Correct decision not to play Meekings and Draper. Certain risks for injury/suspension. Is it over yet?
  25. First goal should have been offside. Absolutely agree that this game is merely a distraction that we could have done without. Get Christie off now to preserve him and hope that Williams, Devine and Esson see out the game without needing repaired.
  26. FFS another handball controversy jesus haha
  27. Seriously, will someone tell Kink he's playing up front. He's wondering around the centre of the park on top of the midfield. He needs to be 15yards further forward to give us any chance of getting out. On a more positive note Nick Ross and Danny Williams are still managing to show their class and composure when they get the ball.
  28. oops. dont know what happened there .... i blame sporting life website where i take my screenshot
  29. Congrats on Yogi giving gaz the captain's armband for todays game. Nice reward for the season and consolation for missing the "BIG" Game :)
  30. Well done Yogi. Nice that the football writers have actually noticed! I wonder which English teams might also have noticed, especially with the success of Alex Neil moving south earlier this season? Anyway, once again, congratulations to Yogi. He has well and truly won us all round this season with his style of football, and the success it has brought us.
  31. First ever SFWA Manager of the Year award. First ever Manager of the Year 'double' (PFA & SFWA).
  32. Been one of our most underrated players this season IMO.
  33. Don't like the blue - any other colour please !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How about black ?
  34. Great idea Dougle at least for the Summer months and compete with the whisky and tartan shops for the tourist trade. The staff would be the best to offer advice on that one if its viable. In reality though I don't know how much stock would have to be sold just to break even. Perhaps it would be nice to see the shop still on the go during the European cup matches. We will not only want to fill up the home end but also claim some of the away end too. Like the Div 1 match against St Johnstone.
