He did have one decent game when we routed Ross County 3-0 at Dingwall. Good luck to the lad, I'm sure he will be appreciated elsewhere given the right role for him and a regular start.

It might not be or he/she might not be good at it but that is no excuse to mock.

Had a look at the Barrow forum to see what they were saying and they were heralding this as a brilliant signing. They're going to be soooo disappointed!
  5. Fixtures are out on Friday.

I always thought he did OK up front given the service he was given. I agree, he was a real handful at Dingwall. And, as others have said, it isn't fair to judge given he was brought as a midfielder and never played there.
  7. Billy Mckay wasn't a natural fox in the box when he joined and came in as partly a wide right shadow striker type. Or at least he was often played there for Northampton and if memory serves me correct at times in his early ICT days. Though once he started banging them in he had a near 1 in 2 record. Phenomenonal when you think about it. Boden sounds very much like a poacher. Hopefully he can hit the ground running early on. He's got 44 in 123 games in past 3 seasons so he certainly knows how to find the back of the net. And has had regular football. I'd like to see us look for a raw fleet footed kid to stretch the opposition lines.
  8. 4 of those goals coming for East Fife at that. Too much baggage for what would not appear to be very much return. Sometimes players just lose focus and fade.

Whilst he didn't impress whilst here, to be fair to the lad, I don't think he was ever given the opportunity to impress. He was badged as a midfielder but was usually pushed up front as a sub because of his height, then, when he did get on the park he didn't see a lot of the ball because he was playing under a manager who was far more concerned about playing to a system rather than adapting systems to play to the players' strengths. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he does a decent job for Barrow.

We might have spotted something if Yogi was the kind of manager who played his players in their best positions.

Simple. Many disabilities are not fully physical and may be accompanied by learning difficulties.

Totally agree. We don't know the extent of his/her disabilities
  13. Yeah Denis Alibec came off the bench to play for Romania tonight against France, I thought the name sounded familiar but then I realised that's because I signed him for ICT in football manager 2008
  14. Has anyone - Sneckboy - had the chance to bring this list up-to-date? Looking a good bit healthier now I'd think, even though some ??marks and gaps still.
  15. If he turns out to be anywhere as good as our last signing from Newport, Gary Warren, he'll do for me!
  16. Riordon was signed in January by York till end of season. In that time he only played four games and probably wont get another offer. Since 2011 he's played 42 games and scored five. That to me says a lot of what other teams thought of him. Besides him and O'Connor's ideas of running the line are not what we need
  17. He may sniff out some chances and lead the line with experience.
  18. We'd be guaranteed a white xmas in Inverness if o'conner joined us
  19. Yes ! Did Riordan not have a troubled past --I seem to recall something......?
  20. Derek Roirdon's agent found^^^^
  21. See, his potential is enough already to have the poachers sniffing around
  22. You mean you want him to be manager of Norwich? Hands off!
  23. I do hope Devine's decision to consider other options is not driven by comments from fans on this forum. A small number of folk have been pretty harsh on him. And in defending Raven against the appalling treatment by our ex manager, many folk talked Raven up by talking Devine down. But it's not a question of Raven or Devine - we need them both. For all the difficulties we have had this season, our defensive record has been good and Devine has started more games than any other outfield player. So he really can't have done too bad, can he? Sure, he has made a mistake or two but who hasn't? Personally I would rather see Meekings in the CB role with Warren although to be honest, there's not a lot in it. But regardless of the pecking order, we need defensive cover and what with injuries and suspensions Devine would be assured of a lot of game time next season even if he wasn't the new manager's first choice. He is also a lot younger than both Raven and Warren and could easily develop into a player who would be a first choice CB for many years. I think Devine has a good career in front of him and I would love it to be with ICT.
  24. Give the boy some respect. I think we should be wishing him well so good luck Liam.
  25. Having spent some time in Barrow, he has my sincere sympathy although, having seen him play, Barrow too have my sympathy.

Equally, why on earth should you equate a disability with any impairment of intellect. Hugely condescending in my view.
