  1. Just stick with the status quo, but its almost an irrelevance - does it matter whether a comment is liked or not? This is a football forum, its not some kind of online contest and there are no prizes for getting the most 'greens' and certainly if individuals feel 'reds' are a personal attack or affecting their lives then perhaps a grown up adult platform such as this or even the interweb isn't the best place to be using. Leave as is, remove altogether, but I'd refrain from anything that involves investing time to resolve or put in place, I would suggest there is a high percentage on here like myself who just don't care - if its there we may use it, if not so be it. Changing things will not do anything other than give those already unhappy a new angle to be unhappy about.
  2. If you're a normal person, sit in the North Stand. If you enjoy scoffing Wurther's Orginals, go on cruise ship holidays and vote Tory, sit in the Main Stand.
  3. People frothing at the mouth because of red dots on a football forum? Dear me, do people not have better things to do?
  4. It's not a huge stadium and sitting higher up will give a degree of protection from rain and will be a bit more cosy, Celtic will also have section G in the main stand. If your in your teens right behind our goals should be fun. If not Renegade sounds like a fun guy. You can't miss him. He's got a big banner that reads. Say no to the Tories, cruise ships and boiled sweets.
  5. I class myself as normal although some may argue with that .Thats OK we are all entitled to an opinion. I do not scoff Wurthers Originals. I do not go on cruise ship holidays . I certainly do not vote Tory. I do sit in Main Stand and can recommend it for a perfect view of game . Choose a seat higher up and you won't be disappointed . Renegade is however going to be disappointed when Xmas comes and he finds himself stroked off my Xmas card list .

By "telt", I take it you mean "to get to feck" What a disappointing shambles.

Absolute shocker from JD Sports / Cabrini here. Hopefully the club will getting them absolutely telt and next season we will see a more reliable kit supplier on board.
  8. Nope, they don't. And keep quiet about it.
  9. I went to watch the first half with my son, and as much as I like to reserve judgement on the Dev squad, the stand outs for me were Doumbouya, who I thought looked good with the ball, quick and willing to chase it down and Ali Sutherland who to me deserves his spot in the first team as soon as possible. Cole (im assuming it was him in MF number 7) looked ok in flashes, but a little slow to react, hopefully this will improve with game time. Boden once again, to me looked very slow to react and with no real threat on goal. He had one header on target, but im pretty sure my 7 year old could have got a hand to it. Sloppy at the back, and slow to react to dispossession. Really feeling that Boden as our out and out Striker is looking a bit out of his depth at the moment, and RF is going to have to make a few changes at the front to start taking these chances
  10. The only red dots that I want to see this weekend is a pointless Aberdire walking off the pitch.
  11. Aiden Chippendale scored a rare goal, his first of 2016, for Stalybridge Celtic, tonight (6 Sep) in a 3-2 win over Gainsborough Trinity in National League North.
  12. I do think people should be able to express their disagreement without always being expected to argue the case. Some posts are simply out of order in one way or another and the number of negative marks allows people to gauge the strength of feeling without people needing to respond. But the red dotters should be identifiable so that they can be identified just as the poster who they are criticising can be. One thing that is annoying about the current system is that you just see a net reputation for a post. There is no way for anyone other than the poster to know how many positive and negative votes they got . For instance, a post could have 10 green and 10 red dots but with the current system you would not know that anyone had been bothered to like or dislike it at all. I'm not sure whether option 2 would show who expressed both likes and dislikes but if it does, it would have my vote. It would allow people to see the extent of interest in a particular post.
  13. I thought JH was pretty honest in his assessment and what he achieved albeit with someone else's players was remarkable. Re his buying policy I think most were panick buys, we were so short of first team players after the Astra games that he just started signing those that were available.Re his passing style it worked a treat when we were ahead but he couldn't change things when we went behind, players must be able to mix it up but to be fair to JH he picked up points with a team often without recognised first team players due to injuries. Re his comment about RF being a rookie manager is again correct RF has never managed at any level and I worried when RF in his pre season interview with the Chairman said we would keep passing forward which is as sensible as saying we will keep passing sideways, there is a time to go forward and back, we saw the effect of the Hughes dogma I hope the forward pass and loss of possession is not the RF dogma. After many calamities with the JH passing style the players took to it and it was noticeable that the opposition were generally more tired than ICT in the last 15 mins because of it. I would hope RF would build on that style with a little more variation rather than abandon it. There is nothing worse for players than have to do a 180 about turn under a new untried boss. I wish RF and the club the best of luck with what is by any stretch a gamble, doing your badges is no different to training for your chosen profession, we all know that theory and the real world are very different.
  14. RIG I didn't know we had an unofficial signing section in the north stand does the board know about this?
  15. Option 2 would be my preference. I give green more than red I think but Im more than happy to have my name alongside those I dish out
  16. Good to see a bit of 'early' and proactive movement on some contract negotiations. Makes a change from waiting until a better offer comes in. Predictable news with Tansey though, I just hope if he is to leave, we can both cash in on that, AND hope he goes anywhere else but down the A96!

Outsource it to the new Inverness prison - an alternative to sewing mailbags!
  18. There has been a lot of talk about red dots these days - far more than you would expect from a forum full of what is primarily adults, most of whom have the intelligence to support Caley Thistle - and it is clear we need to change how we do this. I get mail about this all the time and it constantly amazes me that some folk get their jollies by red dotting someone because of who they are or how they will react rather than the post itself, or that someone who knows their post is somewhat controversial or goes against the grain gets outraged themselves when a flurry of red dots appear. Ultimately, the decision will lie with myself and the moderators as it is us who have to deal with some of the childish actions and re-actions of those who dish them out and who receive them but there are basically three choices available to us that I am considering recommending to the mods. Facebook style "like" system. Maintain current system but allow users to see who voted them up/down. Allow positive votes only. The 4th option (allowing negative votes only) is not on the table. We have previously used the like system and this does work but we have never used the 'positive votes only' or the option to make all voting visible to all users so not sure about these. I welcome feedback from everyone - provided it is constructive - and will make a decision in conjunction with the mods in due course.
