  1. Scott Gardiner our very own Boris Johnson/Donald Trump Totally deluded narcissist

  2. He's so out of touch that he doesn't even realise that his drivel only serves to confirm what many already know, and that is the fact that he thinks fans are stupid, and that he will direct all fault for fan discontent to on field performances to try and deflect from the larger, ever growing, discontent for how the club is failing off the pitch and at the highest level of management. Unfortunately, work will prevent me from attending the fans meeting, but if fans stream from there to the game afterwards, then he will only view that as vindication for his view that fans are fickle and they should/will just suck it up. Furthermore, I'm becoming increasingly disappointed in our local journalists who are doing nothing to challenge him or ask the questions that need asking. I'm sure they all read these forums and social media and know that fans are questioning Gardiner's position as much, if not more so than We did Dodds', yet not a single mention of that in these articles. It's weak and pathetic.

  3. Gardiner will no doubt come out of the hiding when the new manager is in place and he thinks it’s settled down . His dog will either appearwith the new manager on a post thinking that’s all we need or some other pish stunt that thinks it buys some fans . Doesn’t buy it for me . Guy is a waste of our finances and needs to go , along with JR . Totally un needed at this size of club that we are nowadays . Spend the money generated and bring in a decent manager and coaching staff and bin this rubbish .

  4. I think this article tells us loud and clear we are correct re our CEO and how he views us as fans. I've been saying for ages communication is the main issue here. We are not even on same page here as to communicate you need to listen and it's clear they are not. They view communication is when they deem us worthy of a statement or an email or two no more. Deeply regretting renewing my ST but even they must have noticed the number of non renewals? Maybe they think due to cost of living crisis but its not in most cases. I agree with IHE though Mr Gardiner has no intention of leaving anytime soon.

  5. Well, he sees fans forums as a waste of time (cancelled them), sees the ST as non representative (without any indication of what is representative in his view) and won't enter into any meaningful dialogue, sees fans complaining online as 'clickbait proponents', sees the matchday survey as 'too negative' (if rumours are to be believed and I quite believe them), sees a public fans meeting as just people venting their spleen and in general people unhappy are just the 'noisy minority'. Everything can just be dismissed away with the wave of a hand. So the silent majority are all tickety bo and there's no issues that need to be addressed, therefore, 'I'm doing a great job'

  7. I unfortunately won't be able to attend the meeting at the Innes, but hope to be able to make kickoff time for the match. The more that you read into the CEO's comments, the more he seems so out of touch with the fanbase, or his ego is so huge that he choses to only see the things through 'Gardiner tinted' glasses.

Dismissive of the fans and completely unable to take any criticism or responsibility. Puts it on the minority of 'noisy people' Totally dismissive of the Supporters Trust without naming them. "They're meeting in the Innes Bar, and hopefully everyone vents their spleen if they want to do that. Hopefully it's constructive, and then I would hope they're all coming to the game afterwards." So basically go have your little whine and a moan to yourselves, then shut up and get to the game and spend your money. When will folk realise that the club have absolutely zero interest in what the fans think or what their concerns are. Doesn’t matter if that's through the Trust or any other group or individual. He gets paid regardless. They are the 'noisy minority' and 'clickbait proponents' he keeps telling himself that and absolutely nothing about the willfully ignorant culture at the club will change until the CEO goes. It's just about the crap results on the park the CEO says and while they are obviously having a huge negative impact it's way more than that. It's the first time in my life as an ICT supporter where I've felt the club just don't give a toss.

  10. After reading Gardiners bilge in the courier, he has to go. What a complete narcissistic ****. Its no coincidence that everywhere he's been has been left in disarray.

  11. I’m beginning to begrudgingly give SG some respect. He has the ability to deflect, dodge and ignore criticism (Teflon like); bamboozle, hoodwink and convince RM and the board of his vision; cajole and keep in line a pliant press, whilst he has continued to oversee and be mainly responsible for the biggest decline and fall of ICT more than anyone. He was instrumental in offering BD the two year extension (oh by the way, can I ask the Trust to find out how much it cost to pay off BD?). Also used BD as the shield behind the terrible start of the season (‘nothing to do with me gov’)! Yet through all this he manages to pick up his wages and blindly shuffles on, Boris Johnson like, to trample and crap on us the little people. He’s got ‘balls’ beyond ordinary people and who knows, he may get lucky and we get some super new cheap manager that takes us the promised land!! My fear is he ain’t finished ‘his work stint’ at little old ICT. And we the fans remain unable or unwilling to muster any coherent case to question or challenge him and his record! A truly unique guy!!!! bc

  13. This is why the matchday experience survey is so important. It gave a voice to the generally silent majority and gives the lie to the narrative that only a small minority are unhappy. It was open to anyone to complete and over 300 people took the trouble to offer their views. It is important to note that the demographic make up of the respondents was remarkably similar to a major survey the EFL conducted a year or two back, and therefore, it is reasonable to compare our results with the those in the EFL survey where very similar questions were asked. Some will argue that people who perceive a problem are more likely to respond to surveys. That may well be true to some extent, but the point here is that fans of other clubs in a major survey have expressed satisfaction with aspects of the matchday experience whereas a comparable sample of fans from our club are expressing dissatisfaction. The survey therefore provides robust evidence that a significant proportion of the ICT fan base are unhappy about several aspects of the matchday experience. To suggest it is only small minority of "clickbait proponents" is demonstrably untrue.

  14. It seems that Ryan Esson has thrown his hat in the ring for the Manager's job. I think we could do worse than give him a shot till the end of the season, with an extension if he earns it. He already knows the players, is one of the most qualified coaches in the country, and has been performing well with the U18s. He also wouldn't cost us anything on the compensation front and if Kellacher becomes his assistant, then we could also save a wage or two over bringing in a new management pairing.

  16. Wow - Gardiner's response to me is so impressive and in conjunction with a well rehearsed smile and a wholly plausible presentation - this guy will never concede any fault - He still has some mesmerised by his charm and false sincerity. He is strong and will be difficult to remove - we could well be fecked

  17. Could you imagine the uproar from our support if the CEO appointed Robertson when everyone wants him gone? He’s just looking to cover his own back with this one I think.

  18. It's very interesting to read what the CEO said to the Courier. There was no suggestion that Robbo and Charlie are not interested in the post on a permanent basis, it was simply that they wouldn't be considered. Gardiner is quoted as saying "They are 100 per cent interim. They both have very important jobs, so they know that's what they are going to do." It would appear, therefore, that even if one of them wanted the job and was a better candidate than any outsider applying, they would not be considered because they are currently doing a job at the club which is, apparently, more important than being 1st team coach! That really is the most crass statement I've heard for a long time.

  19. The Post Dodds Era Kicks-Off Life without Billy Dodds starts on Saturday, and it couldn't be tougher with Champions elect Dundee United visiting the Caledonian Stadium for a 3:00pm Cinch Championship encounter to round off a week of turmoil down the Longman. It was a no brainer really. The Board terminated the contract of Billy Dodds, and by association, Barry Wilson was struck off as well. No wins in our opening five games and only one point from fifteen had Inverness languishing at the foot of the table on our own. DoddsBall was in full swing. It was a sacking in the making after Dodds got a stay of execution with a Cup Final against Celtic at the end of last season. The big mystery was why was Dodds given a two year extension and who rubber-stamped his contract? The other mystery is where does John Robertson's loyalties lie and who pays his wages as he is more often than not seen at the Global Energy Stadium in Dingwall? Two down and more to go is the current theme coming from the support, so who is next? John Robertson and Charlie Christie will oversee this fixture on Saturday and until a new managemnt team is appointed. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Billy Dodds & Barry Wilson Match/Ticket Info ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Venue: H2H v Dundee Utd Pld Won Drn Lst For Agst + / - Home 33 10 10 13 35 43 -8 Away 28 7 10 11 36 42 -6 Neutral 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 Total 61 17 20 24 71 85 -14 United do have the edge over us but we have had our moments. SCUNNERED: Dundee United cruised to victory in the Highlands as disparity on the park mirrored that off the park. United were worthy winners as Inverness struggled to find any momentum and it was left to desperation and Mark Ridgers to keep the score down. Shaun Rooney deflected a forced Paul McMullan cross/shot into the net. A reaction save from Siegrist blocked a James Keatings effort before the break but that was as good as it got for the hosts. Nicky Clark stroked in the second as we unravelled and a cheap penalty saw Lawrence Shankland complete the scoring, but not the agony as we failed to trouble the United keeper with a series of fluffed attempts whilst United looked more likely to increase their lead. A poor day at the office that had the home fans shaking heads long before the end as we lose ground on the three teams above us. Ironically, it happened to be our best performance of the season. However, the result remained the same, and we lost a 23 year unbeaten record to Raith Rovers who find themselves top of the league ahead of this weekends fixtures. An aesthetically pleasing first half gave way to a less impressive second forty-five before we succumbed to a late sucker punch when Jamie Gullan hammered home after a defensive lapse. Championship form so far: L L L D L One Point from fifteen The Arabs are everyones favourites for the title, but they dropped two points last week when Morton came back to earn a point shortly after Mathew Cudjoe had been sent off. Championship form so far: W D W W D Eleven Points from fifteen Latest Team News The Robertson/Christie combo will be without MacGregor, Nicolson and Welsh who have been out for a few weeks and nothing has changed there. Wallace Duffy is still a doubt. However, we are in limbo, therefore who knows if Robbo and Charlie will rock the boat too much. It's a difficult enough task to pick up a team low on confidence, even moreso when the title favourites come calling. Harry Lodovica will be available for selection after his red card at Arbroath. Out: A number of players were deemed surplus to requirements at Tannadice as United up their game in their bid to bounce back into the Premiership. Charlie Mulgrew retired and the exprienced Steven Fletcher and Peter Pawlett are away amongst others. Louis Moult is a proven goascorer and will need close attention. Glen Middleton is a handful as well and an able provider. To be fair, as expected, United appear to have the strongest squad on paper in the Championship. 28. It really says a lot though DD, and maybe we need other or new board directors and the fans to think a bit more deeper than we previously did about whether this individual’s performance and stewardship as CEO to date deserves to continue to use the position, powers and authority which will affect the next 2 to 3 seasons, particularly on the park. Sometimes you don’t see the slow continued decline (as we’re all wrapped up in it) of our club, until a main event like relegation occurs, but there is no doubt in my mind we haven’t stopped, never mind reversed, the decline under SG. Does the club really deserve any better? bc

  31. Surely we can't afford to lose the Business guru that is a legend in his own bathroom mirror aka Scot Gardiner. It was only this month he was visiting the Highland Council to share his management & leadership wisdom. Key revelations included: "Integrity is the golden thread in business" ( presumably as is incorporating separate limited companies for high risk ventures) "Don't work in silos" (unless you're a pig farmer) & "take a helicopter view" ( we did suspect he was fond of a helicopter back in the day) "Listen to others & achieve goals together" ( Blazers securing the best seats in the house at a Cup Final via on field effort is a practical example ) Perhaps we won't truly understand what he brought to the party till he be gone .. ( mainly soundbites I suspect )
