  1. There's no option for: My loyalty doesn't change with the wind, despite the fact my club is now down the shitter I'm not going to religiously throw money at another team every other week. I'll go to the odd game here and there as a guest and imbibe as much free alcohol as I can whilst wistfully recounting tales of a 30 year roller coaster ride that was following 'the famous ICT' . I'd select that one.

  3. It’s seasons like this that make me glad I live 600 miles away and work every Saturday - thankfully the decision to go or not go is taken out of my hands.

  4. Four of them are away from home so maybe, just maybe, we can get up to 8th. However, it will be a struggle and I’m not confident unless we can sort our home form out. That said, we have Dundee United and Partick Thistle away in our next two games which is a bit daunting. We also have to visit Dunfermline and Queens Park. However, we did not lose any of those away games first time round. My worry is that if we don’t take anything from the next two games, we will be seriously detached in 9th and not have any realistic chance of making up the ground. If we replicate our previous results in the 7 remaining games, we will only get 7 points, which won’t be enough.

  5. It would probably sink into the deep mud that was clearly afflicting the penalty spot there yesterday morning.

  7. Nope. We will win all remaining games, get into the play offs and leapfrog County into the Premiership. Next season we will win the Scottish Cup and finish 3rd in the Premiership. All good.

  8. He put us on that life support machine in the first place. Things were going relatively swimmingly under Kenny Cam Nothing changes the fact that without him the club dies instantly, unless another rich fool can be found first. Cameron was the one who was responsible for the start of our financial troubles. Allowed Hughes to sign up players on contracts we couldn't afford and them appointed Foran on a 4 year contract. Bollocks, have you forgotten Mr Rae? That, sadly, is probably the grim reality. This is a time when all who want a rosy future for the club need to bury their differences and try to find a way out of the mess. From a fans' perspective we need the Supporters Trust to be as strong and representative as possible. A strong fans voice at Board level needs to be part of the solution. Tbf my knowledge of chairmen kinda evaporates in the times before KC. The nostalgia of when we were good kinda just blanks out all the uh ohs If he’d allowed Yogi to speak to United in the first place I don’t think we’d be in this situation. Graham Rae came in after relegation (there were a few short term appointments) and was there for two years, his regime brought Gardiner in, and Ross Morrison was vice chair. Ross Morrison isn't the money man that some seem to think he is. It's David Cameron and Alan Munro (with one non board member) who have been carrying the bulk of the financial burden the last few years. Getting rid would have zero financial implications for the club. Well FOOLS we certainly seem to find easily ! That’s interesting. But Morrison must have been putting significant money in recently because he’s been granted security over the clubs assets until he gets repaid, no? No, it could mean that he's put in money he can't afford, or is unwilling to lose, unlike others. We're getting a little off topic for this thread, sorry, but it got me thinking and we could actually end up in a situation where the club is forced into administration before the planning appeal is heard, Ross Morrison gets control of the battery storage company through the charge, Scottish Government overturn the refusal, and he pockets the £3.4 million. If anyone is looking for a conspiracy, and if my understanding of the charge is correct, then Ross Morrison could be seen as having a vested interest in the club going into administration. In earlier years, Tulloch put £5 million into the club and then Muirfield Mills contributed almost £1 million. More recently there’s been more cash put in by various people in an ongoing battle against administration. Some of this has been by share purchase, which is traceable through Companies House, and we suspect that there’s also been a fair bit of cash loaned by people both within and outwith the board. We have a fair idea of who they may be, but how much is less clear. For them, this is a bit like a game of Pontoon. Stick or twist? Hope it doesn’t go bust so you lose everything you have put in … unless you have preferred creditor status. The question is - for how long can this go on, with constant heavy losses covered by benefactors on a hand to mouth basis? Meanwhile, over the bridge, it’s not that different, except that it’s easier to identify Ross County’s benefactor, and the amounts are rather greater. Over the last 8 years, Ross County has had £9.6 million in loans from its parent company written off. That’s an average of £1.2 million a year. But how much longer can that also go on? (EDIT - I’ve just noticed that this is actually a match day thread.. not the battery farm one. Apologies, but I’m just following the flow!)

  9. But he appears to be a big part of the reason why we are on a life support machine in the first place.

  10. Ah yes, wrong team. Of course I meant Forest Green! I suppose I should edit it, but I agree there's a sort of irony there!

  11. Exactly! Attendance at football matches is a balance between loyalty to your team and the entertainment gained from the match. Having witnessed so many tedious, unentertaining draws and defeats at home this season (fortunately giving yesterday a miss!), it's hard to build myself up to face another home game, as the lack of entertainment has now overtaken the 'loyalty' factor for me. I'd love to "get behind the team" if it wasn't such a tedious chore. Sadly, as things stand, there's nothing worth seeing at Caledonian Stadium, and I can think of much better ways to spend my time and money! Hopefully I'll have recovered from my current negativity by the next home game though!

  12. He got the job off the back of his name and 'fame'. The type of football he seems to want us to play (thank God I missed the game yesterday) we don't have the players capable of executing. It's also utterly mind numbing to watch. We keep hearing to 'get behind the team' but FFS it's an uphill struggle as we've not won in 4 months and what we do see at home is utter dross.

  13. On the other hand, if the applicants can identify a strong legal case then the Scottish Government may feel that granting the appeal quickly would prevent an embarrassing court case. Either way, the shenanigans at the council will give the applicants options about the next steps. Of course, we need to bear in mind, that whilst getting the planning permission is vital to the finances of the club, they are not the only players with an interest here. ILI and whatever company it is who would actually build and operate the BESS will have a big say in the next steps. Obviously it is all just speculation on our behalf and we have no idea of the detail of what the details of the contractual arrangements are between the interested parties. I should add here that I have maybe been a little unfair in my earlier criticism of the club with regard to the weaknesses in the application. ILI and the prospective operator are the experts in this area and are the ones who should have the experience to get it right and to anticipate likely barriers to approval. But given the risk to the club of the project not going ahead, the club clearly has a responsibility to make sure the application is watertight and they have failed in that.

  14. Sat through every home game so far this season, and my god it’s been a miserable experience. Under Dodds we were awful, but I have to say since Ferguson took over it has been worse. No idea what the on field plan is (if one exists), but there is no fight, no pace, no urgency and no clue. It’s not as if the opposition is anything special, but they don’t need to be. We look nailed on for the relegation play off place, and there is precious little to give confidence that we could survive that.

  15. OK. I don't go to matches anymore as I've had enough of the CEO, the club not caring about fans, Ferguson's awful tactics and subsequent garbage performances etc etc. Don't expect any of that will change anytime soon, so mapping out other interests on Saturday afternoon's etc will likely become the norm for me. Happy 30th birthday ICT, not!!

Administration pending, unless... How can we go from SupercaleygoballisticCelticareatrocious in the year 2000, to Scottish Cup Winners in 2015, playing in Europe and just 9 years after lifting the Cup; Administration. Mismanagement and our demise was hastened by the appointment of Scot Gardiner. Ever since then, ludicrous decision making has seen our stock plummet whilst 'shady' dealings were investigated. The failed Concert Company, the Battery Storage, the Statkraft contract have all ended badly leaving the club facing insolvency.

That's another fine mess you've got us into.

      Chairman Ross Morrison resigns

Nothing official from the club as we speak, but the Inverness Courier are running with a story that Ross Morrison has resigned at 18:00 tonight 3rd June.  More to come as this story develops, but most fans are looking for more heads to roll.

Speaking exclusively to The Inverness Courier, Mr Morrison said he is leaving now because of the aftermath of the Fife move. “I believe it [the move to Fife] is the best way forward and I have to stick with my beliefs,” Mr Morrison said. “This is the reason I'm stepping down now.”

Reflecting on his time with the Caley Thistle, Mr Morrison said: “My six-year tenure with the club has had some great and some not so great times but through everything I was immensely proud to be the chairman of the club and clubs I’ve supported for 50 years - I was a Jaggie by the way.

“I would ask the fans to rally round the club at this time and show their support by not only purchasing their season tickets but also getting involved directly with the club to see how they can help.

“Hearing fans saying they would prefer administration to training the first team in Kelty sent a shiver down my spine. Administration is a desperate thing to happen to a club and must, at all cost, not happen to ICTFC.”
