  1. Welcome, and please keep contributing to the Forum. Things do seem to be progressing and hopefully that will continue. For me, the two key issues were Kelty and the club leadership. The first has been achieved, the second is well under way. Based on that I will be renewing my season ticket and getting behind the club. I fully understand those who are waiting to see what happens next and I respect their viewpoint. I hope they feel able to come on board soon. I also understand why the club is not publicly stating when SG is actually leaving. They could only do so with his agreement as they need to comply with GDPR regulations. This is different to most player contracts which are for a fixed term and, I suspect, players and their agents probably don’t get sticky on such things being known publicly. It does sound like discussions with investors are going well. I feel it is important that these potential investors see that fans are getting behind the club again as they will have seen the strength of feeling and just how united fans have been in the Kelty and leadership issues, along with the growth in Supporters Trust membership and its increased profile in the media.

  2. I was speaking to you apologies I'm new to this - I appreciate your concern I have dealt with Scot on a number of occasions in fact I'm still waiting on a thank you for stuff I done for him / and the club . Putting that to one side for a moment - Scot Gardiner does not play for the club , he wears a club tie - he doesn't have an effect on any results which were achieved over his tenure. His wheeling and dealing has left a lot be desired and his communication skills is through a young lad via the media department so it's very sparse at best . However the point I'm trying to make is Scot is not alone in making a **** up of this and his mannerisms are very poor . After all that that shouldn't stop anyone buying a ticket or mech , the money doesn't go into his pocket it goes to the club - he's getting paid his wage for as long as his notice period allows , that's not going to change If you buy a ticket or not the only people that's being hurt here is the clubs ability to put a good product on the park and to negotiate it's debtors. If there was ever a time to support your team it's now . I do understand your reasons for not doing so I just don't agree with the logic... its like fuk ICT because of 1 man who's on his notice I just don't get it .

  3. I assume you're talking directly to me (best to quote so it's clear). I'm not sure how clear I can be. I decided some months ago well before the Kelty nonsense etc that I will not be back at Caley Stadium if Scot Gardiner is there. He's still there and the club refuse to say how long that will be for. I don't care if he's working his notice or not, that makes no difference to me. Gardiner should have been fired long ago for his utter incompetence but he's still around on his terms. The fact that the board have not apologised or taken any accountability for the mess we are in also speaks volumes and I see little to suggest things have changed. I WANT to renew and go and support the team as I've done for 15 years. The club still make that impossible for me to do at this moment.

  4. You do you man. I think it's kinda bizarre and naive to suggest the dictator, sorry CEO of an organisation for 5 years has no bearing in its results. Did they not have significant bearing on the appointments such as the snr management? They also set the tone for how the organisation treats it's partners and customers. Also somewhat odd to suggest that money I put into the club doesn't go into his pocket. That's literally what happens while he's still employed and I'd imagine he's the highest paid person there bar 'Dollar bills' Duncan. If you're happy with your decision and the recent statement, that's great. I won't stop supporting ICT but I'm tired of been taken for a mug and it's the only power I have.

  5. He needs to be gone by the start of the season. We don't need any more negativity at the games.

  6. Then I'll be buying my tickets in August. Assuming my seats are still available. Again folk are all guessing because the club, shock horror refuses to give any information.

  7. I don't want him to stay. But, if he had any sense, staying on with a reduced salary and achieving something with limited resources could do more for his managerial career than running off to whichever big club will pay him more to be third assistant throw-in coach.

  8. If the board actually grow a back bone and are serious about having a team of local/young players then he should have no choice; put up, shut up and get on with it otherwise tatty byes and see you later. Possibly a twist of the hand from a board who see no way out and hope he'll walk. On the other hand, give him some rope at the start of the season, if we field and team and have a club, and he might just hang himself (figuratively speaking of course)

  9. I hope he has learned from his mistakes .The fans have made it perfectly clear to him .He also has to remember no one is indispensable. Disgusting the way our young boys got shafted Ferguson will have a lot of humble pie to eat . What kind of team did he think he was coming to ?....We are not Everton !!!

  10. Seats for existing season ticket holders are reserved. They will not show as available. It does not mean tickets have yet been purchased for those seats.

  11. I agree with @Fraz, you've had your say on more than one occasion and he's had his, move on. What are you going to do, single out every poster and question why they don't want to renew their season ticket just now? There's lots, everyone has a valid reason. I like to buy my bread at Asda, my wife likes to buy it at Tesco, in the end Mr Warburton gets his money. If fans buy now or buy later, the club still gets the money but for most it means SG doesn't if they wait. It's simple.

  12. In my head, a strip a season alternating makes more money. Who has enough money to buy two a season these days? Where's a new one every season fans are more accepting. Reverse economics in a way. Like you say though, it'll be driven by the manufacturer and likely a term of their contract.

  13. And the club needs to be more forthcoming with information

  14. So just I've got this straight..instead of supporting your team in its hour of need your gonna wait until August all because one man's working his notice ...

  16. That will be due to them holding seats for last years ST holders. If it's only 1000 then the claim of 1500 ST holders last season seems to have been an exaggeration.

  17. Calling BS on that response. If they can't comment on individual contracts then they wouldn't have told us he had resigned. They also wouldn't be able to tell us how long players/managers had signed for etc. Just leaves the feeling that they don't want to tell us as he has a long notice period and isn't going anywhere soon.

  18. Season ticket sales were steady but nowhere near that figure. A lot holding fire on renewing until certain things have been sorted. I really struggled between holding out till SG was gone or buying my season ticket so the club has cash flow to pay wages for the staff etc. I decided it was more important to buy my season ticket and trust the directors when they say that SG is working his notice and will be gone at some point. The sooner the better. It's a gamble. But after a few weeks of not knowing whether I had a club to support next season, I decided to take the leap of faith. Let's hope I'm not let down by the club.

  19. The biggest problem could be changing Ferguson's mindset about using local players. In that respect, I hope Lewis Hyde is brought in from the cold. Cameron Ferguson may be an actual signing which over a season might pay dividends.

  20. Yes I know season ticket holders are holding off for now waiting for SG to depart the building. If they give us his last date we could all go down an wish him well for the future

  22. Unless you know this for a fact, stupid pointless comment. There are too many snide comments like this being made on here without any substance behind them. Even if directors were going to Germany, this would have to have been planned months ago before all this happened.

  23. Pretty fair summary I think, other than when he took over in the summer of 2019 we were already a bit of a financial basket case, losing huge sums in the Championship including a whopping £0.9m for 18/19. The club had debts of £1.9m at the end of 18/19 including £0.8m of loans from directors, and the accounts only met the going concern requirement because of formal commitments from shareholders to provide further loans. He inherited a financial mess, kept us going with a very competitive team chasing promotion for several seasons, fell short, then left us in a worse mess, on and off the pitch.

  24. Moan moan moan moan moan Shirt isn’t the greatest but who really cares. Over the years it’s always been hit and miss. It’s certainly not the worst we’ve had and there’s more red and black than ever. I’ll be buying one anyway, the away kit stays the same doesn’t it?

  25. Please get him back I’m sure he will do well.

  26. Really feel for Lewis Hyde especially after seeing the Courier article. Never really rated him but he's a big powerful unit. In Lge 1 he could easily be the new Allardice. Dodds pretty much threw him under a bus at Firhill when he played him at right back against Tiffoney. Mind you that was our annus horribilis with the injury situation.

  27. I suspect most season ticket holders do want to help the club. However, Kelty came out of the blue, Friday's season ticket announcement, completely out of the blue. This Board has over 5 years endorsed what Scot Gardiner has recommended or actions by him based on delegation they have allowed. We currently do not trust them - Aaron's situation highlights this. This week will possibly help settle the nerves. We will find out if Scot Kellacher and Ryan Essen are still employed. We will hear from Duncan Ferguson. We will find out if Roddy MacGregor, Lewis Hyde and Mark Ridgers are on board. Is Jake Davidson back? What youngsters are on board. In addition like any prudent investor we want to see the 2022/23 accounts finalised and submitted. On the assumption that much of this becomes clear or clearer and trustworthy I am sure season ticket sales will move forward and our enthusiasm to support the new team will emerge. Happy to buy on Friday 21st if we see progress.

  28. If they were all struggling for game time at a lower level than league one I am sure we will be fine.

  29. Unfortunately our board seem to think he (and Gardiner) are indispensable. He thought he was coming to a team that were about to get near £5 million from battery storage and car park deals.

  30. Then god only knows what state the club will be in by then . I Think a lot of truths about SG will emerge after he is out of office . Certainly a lot of rumours going about and it will be interesting to see what emerges . The damage he has done and is currently doIng To the club is unbelievable .so I’m with withholding season ticket until such times .

  31. They won't. I contacted the SLO and was told that they can't comment in individual contracts. So pretty much the usual from the club. No answer, you'll find out (probably in the press) when it happens. Shame because even if for example there were assurances he would be gone before the end of the month I would probably just renew before I end up spending the money on something else.

  32. My son called it the Minecraft kit with all the blocky pixels. I think I would have to see it in person although I also tend to fall into the polo top or other leisurewear categories too. Looks nicer than the new Crystal Palace kit though! Wow that one is really busy. Gringo - it’s $190 over here for an official kit (that’s about £110). Guess that’s the cost of having Adidas do all the strips for the league. Another good reason to buy more reasonably priced polos, t-shirts or unofficial/replica kits

  36. Rough count and I mean rough but nearly 1000 season tickets sold already generating nearly 200k into the club personally I've ordered 4 shirts today and renewed the season ticket. Now is the time to back the team if your able to

  37. What you say is true but it's not the whole story. Directors putting money in previously have done so to cover losses they were responsible for/willing to cover. They knew they weren't getting it back and it never put to club at risk financially. Other things did in earlier years such as Stadium costs, but people stepped in to remove that risk. Whatever are thoughts on any of them protecting the club was always the priority. Ross Morrison was different insofar as he was putting money in expecting (needing?) to get it back. He is the first Director to put a charge in place to cover loans given. It is those securities which are likely to be the biggest barrier to investment at the moment. If he didn't have the money to burn and nobody else was going to cover losses then he should have been cutting costs and ensuring existing income streams were secure in order to get the club into a financially stable position. Everyone knows what happened instead and it doesn't need going over again. Looking at accounts the club had next to no debt when he took the reins. Now we have at least £300k of non-director debt and at least £1.5 million of secured debt.

  38. I am aswell, I don’t think we have much choice. There will certainly be plenty of people moaning on here in a few weeks though when they realise we are in for a real tough season.

  39. It's all down to the lack of money to bring in players from down south and put them up in hotels. If he does stay he will have very little to spend and he will have to work with what he has.

  44. The statement from the club today may not contain all we would like to hear and it may have the emphasis all wrong, but it brings much better news than we feared. The most positive part of the statement is the reference to "hugely positive discussions currently ongoing with a number of potential new investors". This suggests there are at least 2, and probably more, people ready and willing to put sufficient money into the club to save it from administration and that the discussions are pretty advanced. It really is important to acknowledge that these kind of negotiations are usually very difficult. Those willing to invest will not be wanting to throw their money into a bottomless pit. They will want to put conditions on their investment such as who is on the Board of Directors and who isn't; what the football model should be; what the management structure should be; how the finances are structured; what the relationship with supporters bodies should be etc. Crucially, they will want to know how much, if any, of the loans made to the club by the former chairman and other directors they expect to get back. Different potential investors and the current Board will have different views on these topics and somehow, they need to reach a consensus which they are all happy enough with before new investors will commit. I don't think the statement would have been released with such positive wording unless they were agreed in principle about the way forward. It is encouraging that the Supporters Trust have been in dialogue with the club during this time. However, just like any other party involved in negotiations, they need to respect the positions of others and be prepared to compromise. Fans wanted the Kelty scheme scrapped: it has been scrapped. Fans wanted the Chairman gone; he's gone. Fans wanted the CEO out: he's resigned and if not quite gone, he's going. It is therefore perfectly reasonable that the club and potential investors will expect the Trust to give them something back. That something is what the Trust has put in their statement. Yes the message is different from that made after the meeting in the Caley Club, but so it should be! The situation is radically changed from then, and it has changed because people were rallying round the Trust to give a united message. That message has been listened to and acted upon. I think the Trust have been doing a brilliant job in what is probably the most difficult period in the club's history. The potential investors may be willing to inject money into the club, but they probably don't have £500k sitting in a bank account. They will need to liquidate some assets to release lump sums or perhaps they are only able to inject money in installments. Meanwhile, bills have to be paid and staff need to be paid. Clearly, sales of season tickets and merchandise will help the cash flow. I fully understand the reticence many fans have in parting with money now. We all have good reason not to trust the club and for some, the purchase of a season ticket is a much bigger commitment than for others. Personally, I think it will be strategically good for some people to respond positively to the call to buy tickets and for others to hold back. It will give the club the message that the fans are acknowledging the progress being made but that further evidence of progress needs to be demonstrated. The message to the club will be that the fans are giving you some money but you will get more money when more assurances are given that the club's future is secure. The message to the fans effectively remains the same - it is a personal choice.

  45. I can’t disagree with anything you have written and as we both know it will be up to the individual. Hopefully we have received a fee for Harper with maybe some add ons as well and this will help keep the lights on for a wee while. In the statement it said the team will be highland based and allegedly consist of local talent so the plan for the future should be based around developing our own players and hopefully moving on the “stars” for fees. In the past too many have left with not a penny coming back to the club. Alan Savage has secured the Academy for the foreseeable future so that would seem to be a plan coming together. If David Witherspoon wanted to train twice a week in Inverness and keep fit with St Johnstone the other 3 days I would be open minded to that sort of arrangement for the right player.

  46. Is Ferguson still the manager ??. Really can’t see him wanting to coach young developing players given his managerial style so far. I know the Club won’t want to pay him off………. Maybe they are banking on him walking away. Time will tell I suppose. When goes pre season training start?
