haha very good. have you yet see him do ANYTHING well.

however u have a fair point and if he scores a hatrick next week the tickets are reprieved.

Ask yourself this, was he disappointed at being subbed or at himself?

You've hardly seen him. If your not going to give the team a chance give me your season ticket. Il give it to someone who will support the team.

wtf are u on about. i seen enough to know he cant make a simple pass he has a bad attitude an is without doubt not the required standard foe this league.

if as a fully paid up 2 season ticket holder for me and my five year old boy im not entitled to an honest opionion then whats the point of a forum.

sorry if it offends but at least back your sh#t up with a argument against what i said or shut the feck up.

i am hardly the most critical person on here by a mile but i will say what i see and that is raven is not spl standard in the slightest

Honestly. What did you expect us to get today? I'm intrigued. If you think that we could get a result at a kanter against Celtic then your deluding yourself. Their a team of full internationals. We are a team of promising youngsters and youth internationals. It is literally a case of men vs boys when we play them.

mate yet again read what i said i never expected to hump the hoops my point hence the name of the thread is raven is not good enuff.

being honest king was much worse than raven

  • Author

yeah i agree king had his worst performance in a caley shirt but still think he will be ok this year raven on the other hand is a real worry and unfortunately will be found out time and time again

I watched the whole embarrassing event unfold on TV and I don't think it was just Raven who was 'out of sorts'...the whole back four was a shambles and clueless. I'm still amazed that with a former international defender in charge of the team...we still can't defend. Even the basics of defending was absent yesterday.

i feel that no one has the fire to win because most of them will be gone

As stated previously it is wholly unfair to scapegoat one particular individual after yesterdays perfromance apart from Butcher who simply ballls it up. I am not a fan of Raven but I felt that he was solid enuff defensively yesterday but , again as many others, his distribution was poor but not the feckin worst. My "dilemna" is why Butcher appears to feel that he is a 60 minute man and takes on Meekings to replace him to give us more offensive movement. If that is the thinking then, particularly at home, Meekings should be on from the start. What is this absurd tactic doing to the confidence of either player.

And if we are discussing King then Warren should bear some of that grief. How many times was King left as the only defender and where was Warren ?

Luke I think you are missing the point it's not the fact that Celtic beat us yesterday it was the manner of the defeat that has upset a lot of folk.

What ever way you want to dress it up Butchers tactics were atrocious yesterday

we need some strength in the team, i dont like saying it (dont like foran ) but we needed the fire from foran and jones

no the fire that they want caley to do well not just spend a season here then move on

Frustrating to see our defence such a shambles when Mr Tokely and Mr Munro are plying their trade so effectivively for a team who held Celtic for more than 90 minutes.

It was only a matter of time before someone mentioned Munro and Tokely.

It was also only a matter of time before someone compared our performance with them over the bridge last week.

Can we please GTF with this rubbish and start supporting the team. They (T&M) are gone and they (the tinks) are not us.

If you want munro and tokely, begger off over the bridge with them.

I for one am staying put and will forever continue to support Inverness Caledonian Thistle through the good and the bad times.

The start of yesterdays match was the worst I have seen since we went 4-0 down to Livingston inside 20 minutes in our Second Division Promotion season.

The performance was worse than that of Dundee United last term, or indeed since anything of the second Brewster era.

Yet I plan to make as many games, home and away, to support the team.

I would love to have a season ticket and be there every week. Unfortunately, unforeseen circumstances and expences prevented me from doing so so close to the start of the season. So if you feel you've had enough (already, after 2 games at home) want to hand over yours, feel free to fire it my way. Thanks.

Well said, young man.

As regards Raven, although I'm probably stating the obvious if a manager signs a player to hopefully improve a given position he maybe feels he needs to persevere with him rather than going back to the player he replaced.

Yesterday we were poor. And by 'we' I mean the players, too many stray passes and too affraid to get really stuck in, the management, in my opinion the wrong team was sent out, Meekings and Morrison should have started in my book and the fans, I know its difficult to support a team playing as poorly as we did yesterday but surely we would be better off be trying to encourage not abuse our management and players.

Anyway, the game has gone and Raven is just one of many pieces of the ICT jigsaw that didn't fit yesterday. Bring on the Arbroath and the rest of the season. BELIEVE.

To be honest it's not that surprising if folk are comparing our performances / results to that of County is it? It won't be the last time. With regards to Tokes and Granty if you think them being brought up now is bad, wait and see what happens if god forbid we get beaten by County in the first derby game! As for going over the bridge, by the looks of it some people have taken your advice and done that already.

Agreed! Also seem to remember a similar situation to this with Andy Shinnie this time last year.

I've always said, what if ICT get gubbed by County (not impossible) with Tokely and/or Munro (or even Duncan) scoring into the North Stand? The place'll go berserk!

Well, Ross Co have a couple of experienced SPL defenders in their team?- the goalie & also a good few experienced midfielders & forwards with proven ability

Apart from Esson....... Foran..maybe OTJ...err ??**!! who else have I forgotten?

Still ever hopeful TB gets the formula right.

Maybe I will take in a County game in the future, dunno, will see, not an immediate priority though.

We have lost one game, we played poorly yes yes yes.

There was little, almost no real encouragement from the fans against the SPL champions and you wonder why the players lost their fire? They must have been bemused by the lack of support, especially too at the abuse thrown at them.

How would you feel if you had been on the field experiencing that? probably some of you would have faked injury to get replaced because you certainly are not STAYERS!!! You dont seem to be able to stay loyal, the least bit forgiving, or the least bit patient.

Give the Team a chance, you dont have to wear rose coloured specs to see what this Team could be capable of, unless of course you keep wearing dark glasses in a storm.

Be prepared to have a feast on your words at the end of this season.
