Pitch Update & Match Advisory Notice

Pitch Update & Match Advisory Notice

The pitch is currently playable and ground-staff have, and continue to take, all possible action to ensure it remains in such condition. However, there is a weather front due to hit the area which could pose a risk.

For that reason, and being mindful of the fact that fans will be travelling early for the match versus Ross County, we have requested a pitch inspection at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium for 9am tomorrow morning.

We will provide an update on the situation at the earliest possibly opportunity following the inspection.

We are on the 07:10 train from Glasgow so let's hope the overnight weather isn't too bad

If the pitch is covered & undersoil heating on why should there be a problem ?

Rain is the issue not snow/freezing temperatures

Didnt the club go to some expense some time ago upgrading the drainage system on the pitch?

How early do they expect fans to be going to the game. A later inspection would give time for pitch to be playable.

If the pitch isn't playable at 9am then, as the forecast stands (and it could easily change) it's not expected to clear up enough to allow recovery in time for 3pm.

If the forecast does change and presents a scenario which may mean the pitch could recover then a decision can always be made to have a further inspection at a later time.

Excuse my ignorance but do the covers not stop water gettin on pitch

Genuinly dont know

Heavy snow forecast overnight and tomorrow will be the main issue

Yes they do to an extent. Contrary to what was said in a previous reply the forecast is for heavy snow and strong wind.

The seer needs to get his stone serviced as it's clearly malfunctioning.

When I heard there was a shower heading towards Inverness from the North tomorrow I assumed they were talking about County.

Don't think a showe and County fans go together somehow

"Pitch passed as playable at 9:00am, however we will continue to monitor conditions as weather passes through during the morning."

The Seer advises to keep the covers on until 11.00 and game on.

How can you inspect a covered pitch?

It's snowing pretty heavily now and certainly lying will the ush heating be enough to keep game on must surely be a major doubt now. Hoping it still goes ahead but it's not going to be a nice day for it for sure

My only concern is match being abandoned when we are 5 -0 up after 38mins

Unless the snow picks up I doubt the game will be in jeopardy, heck the football pitch outside of my house looks playable.
