Play Off Decider

Tonight is really as big a game as Saturday’s.

We must win or our league season is over.

I hope we get a similar crowd to the numbers who went to Glasgow and support the players to another win.

I hope no one is assuming we will win. It will be a tough match with the same prize at stake for both teams.

I just hope our recent attitude and form continue and we get the win that keeps our league season going.

Come on ICT!

  • Fair effort in the end to keep the season alive in the league. Great run to bring it to this stage when we looked completely out of it at the start of the year. Injuries, Hamilton and Dodds have done

  • Ayr fully deserved that win last night. All over us from the get go and looked better all over the pitch for most of the game. We did get on top for a period in the second half but even then they stil

There will be another 9 Scottish teams feeling play off Heartbreak yet, before the happy winners are known. None of them will have a ‘let’s have a party anyway’ bonus game Scottish Cup Final to look forward to against a team we’ve beaten how many times in cups!!

Maybe but doesn't make it feel any better

Falkirk obviously don't fancy playing us again next season.

😂😂😂😂😂

Oh the memories of happier times. Eight years ago on the 9th of May 2015, we defeated Dundee 1-0 at Dens Park, to secure third place in the premiership and achieve European football for the first time. And although we missed out on the playoffs this season, we stand on the cusp of achieving European football again.......all we have to do is beat Celtic! 😀

Queens Park's implosion is almost complete.

3-0 down at half time ( 7-3 on aggregate)

A season to forget for them now, it could have been oh so different...🤣

Four points from their last seven games. Ouch.

And we took 2 points out of 12 against them this season: even worse than against Hamilton and the only team we failed to beat: one of the (many) reasons why we are not playing tonight!

I suspect they will struggle next season but time will tell.

If they'd hung on to Simon Murray it would probably have been a different story, but ifs and buts would've made a difference to our season too.

Did we not only take 1 point from 6 in our last 2 critical games.

Yes. I'd say Queens Parks collapse and end of season form is, obviously, much worse as we weren't seven points clear at the top of the table with only a handful of games left.

We could be looking at Highland derbies next season, but I’m worried that Partick will rue not finishing that off tonight. It’s not a done deal by any means.

Kris Doolan has had 18 games in charge at Partick and only one defeat….. to us!

Not surprised at PT doing well, always looked like they had a squad capable, just shows what a good manager can get happening. We will never know if we had made a similar change whether we'd be in that position or not, but I believe we have a squad of similar levels.

The benchmark is not a relegation fodder Arbroath or even the QP team who may be top but realistically its Dundee, PT, Ayr that we need to be competing and beating and recent form shows we are well off the pace.

PT have been very impressive in the playoffs.  If they had displayed this form earlier in the season they would have won the title with several games to spare.  They just might regret not having put the tie to bed against County last night.  County have been handed a lifeline.  Being 2 - 0 down at half time and down to 10 men things were looking pretty grim for them, but Thistle were unable to take advantage of their possession and County avoided going further behind due to some last ditch defending and excellent saves.  Thistle will be a bit nervous now whilst County have given themselves a real chance to turn the tie round.

Ummmm....yeah!!! 🤔

If County can put any kind of sustained pressure on Partick from the start it will be interesting. We haven't seen too many examples from Doolans team when they aren't allowed to exploit their attacking strengths.

If they can't get a result at home then they deserve to join us in the duffers division next year.

Derbies incoming. 0-1 ht at the Global Energy Stadium which some folk keep referring to as Victoria Park.

Edit - hold your horses. County score in stoppage time to make it 3-1...

Partick chocking but was never a penalty. VAR correct to overturn red card though

So, Partick again next year...🤣
