In Dunc I TRUST

So I may be biased and protective of a player who was a real club man and a fighter (in many ways!!). He is getting a load of negative flak at the moment but if there was one person that I would pick to be in the trenches with me it is Dunc. He has been up against it from the off. IMHO scapegoated from the off and now taking hits for the bunch of self motivated morons who are the people responsible for bringing this club to its knees. Duncs main problem is that he has nowhere near the quality of players required to bring any footballing system to fruition. We currently have the worst squad of players that we have ever had - a mottley crew of cheap loanees desperate for playing time to progress their own careers. Unfortunately the ones with potential have picked up the injuries. There has been no consistency and I hazard a guess that most fans would have difficulty in picking a first X1. But what Dunc does bring to the party is pure passion and the Dunkirk spirit. The next two games are must wins and if Dunc can instill the passion and drive we will survive. And I am referring to passion and not from a skill or system perspective. Dunc needs to instill a "dogs of war" mentality and the players have to give the fans a degree of hope. So I am predicting six points in the next two games - however accomplished and escaping in 8th place at the end of the season.

I don’t care if Sir AF backs him, this manager is taking us nowhere. A full time team  in a predominantly part time league, with a manager, assistant manager, first team coach ( kellacer), goal keeping coach, twenty five or six  or seven full time players, supporting staff, video analysis guy, so well resourced, and we can’t seem to improve or get better under DF and his inept staff. Enough is enough. Come on AS and the culpable board, you can see it too, surely ??????? ☹️👎

I'm pretty sure we don't have "twenty five or six or seven full time players". Even if we did how many of these guys are youngsters who aren't quite ready to play first team football. What do you mean by supporting staff? Who are they? Also who is the video analysis guy? If you don't think Ferguson is the man to take us forward who do you think is?

Firstly, I am sure there are many managers up and coming & experienced who could do a better job on far less money than DF & GB etc. I have counted all those with contracts and including the new signing today, there are 26 player on the books with full time contracts of which one is currently on loan to Forres, some are young admittedly , but we are are in league 1 where most teams are part time, we are full time. The average age of the team is 21. There are two video analysis guys ( Fraser somebody  & Allan or Owen) I think are their names. As for the manager……… are you happy with him and happy he continues to manage in the way he does ?????????? I stick to the facts and what I see on the pitch. I attend every home game and most aways. How about you?????.

The Courier is reporting that Ferguson has taken a 40% wage cut, from £2000 to £1200 per week, and that when he joined he was on £3000 per week.

I have no sympathy for a wealthy person taking a pay cut. He is not the only one. Has he forgot his role in the teams relegation???? Players had to take a contractual cut and I’m sure the coaching staff and others have had a reduction in wages too. AS had made cuts all over. DF trying to make it look like he is the only one having to take a cut!!! He is a narcissist with no grasp on the reality of where he is. Get Him Gone !!!!!!

The money he has in his piggy bank he could do the job on a voluntary basis with no wage....no....scratch that....he can't do the job anyway. :hiding02:

He still gets more in one week than I have to survive on for a month! I bet he a!so had a car and expenses

Yeah, a fair point. An assumption on my part. Maybe after his book has sold a few copies, he might not need the Caley wage. I still don’t have sympathies for his wage cut though 🙂

I wouldn’t be surprised if his salary is the lowest of all Managers of full time teams in Scotland.

And so it should be after us dropping down a division, they all get paid to much.

Fair play to Dunc for taking a significant voluntary pay cut. Probably the best thing he’s done for us. Hopefully it’s a turning point from him being part of the problem to being part of the solution.

Taking a pay cut and now telling us how dire the situation is with equipment for training/lack of physios etc...

I'm surprised the penny didn't drop sooner, or is he just preparing the narrative for an exit due to circumstances outwith his control?

So, he can't manage his own personal finances as well as a football team....:ponder:

£3,000 for that jobbie is a disgrace. If we managed to find the money from somewhere to offer him that ludicrous salary it makes you wonder why it wasn't invested in the squad and literally anyone else brought in. We'd have had as much of a chance as staying up as we did throwing that stupid money at Big Dunce.

Sounds like another of Gardiner's ludicrous schemes!

... and that's likely one of the reasons why we are in £1.7m debt instead of a few hundred £K.

Good that he’s agreed a pay cut to help the club. However, I note he says:

“For me, it is all about player care – looking after the players as best we possibly can.

“That’s not really happened.”

Absolutely. Is he taking any responsibility for the disgraceful treatment of Aaron Doran, Mark Ridgers et al? With SG out maybe he’d be able to talk about that (and blame SG for his own inaction if that’s correct), but he’s not mentioned it.

and the buck stops with you Mr Ferguson. YOU are the manager whether we like it or not and the players got treated like sh1t on YOUR watch. Now just F*** Off with the self-pity.

There's no way he's taken that paycut voluntarily, I don't care how it's been reported. More likely he's been told its happening or he's out but they'll let it play out that way in the media.

Regardless, doesn't change my views on him. Anything less than a win today and he has to be out, never wanted him from the word go anyway and nothing he has said or done has changed my views.

Might be a good coach but he's a terrible manager. Much easier to train/coach players when you've a manager dictating how you coach rather than you doing it all yourself, the proof is in the pudding.

He's the clown thats not realised the circus has left town.

Trust in Dunc ❤️ climbing the table and only one win off the top.

Get this over rated clown out of our club.

I’m looking forward to his post match analysis!!😀

It’s really frustrating living away from Inverness for the first time in 14 years, but it’s equally frustrating hearing the comments about Duncs style of play. We should be romping this league, instead we are close to the relegation spots.

The really worrying thing is the goals ratio which is exactly the same last year as this.

Same lame  excuses after every game. Is he the only person in the ground that can't work out you need to move forward quickly and not backwards and sideways at a snail's pace in order to put the opposition under pressure and perhaps even score a goal of two into the bargain? I coached for many years and I always thought the idea was to beat the opposition not hand them points game after because of poor tactics.
