First time poster guys - just seeing what's already out there in terms of the fans putting additional resources into the club . Having read through the forum a lot of people would be willing to buy season tickets and merchandise which is great . Unfortunately that's not going to be enough to keep the vultures at bay so just seeing if there are any fans initiatives already on the go which would put additional cash into the club . Much like what Hearts done in there time of need and Rangers with there fund . Just trying to think of a way to help .

Did the ICT Concert Company get dissolved and consequently absolve itself of pay suppliers all those months ago? Can't see how Gardiner gets money back from that when all those contractors and suppliers got hee haw (if what I've said is correct and there is a good chance it isn't).

SG’s claim is that he lent money to the football club (IT&CFC Ltd) and not to the Concert Co. It certainly seems to have been recorded in the books of the football club, forming part of the related party loans that Savage has sought to eliminate. It would certainly have been in SG’s interest for it to be recorded in the football club, less risky for him. What we don’t know is what documentation there is regarding it. Normally that would make it abundantly clear.

I fear  the club has made  a grave error here if Gardiner's contract was watertight.  They must have known that, if it was, we would have to pay what was remaining on his contract.  It would have been far better, perhaps even easier if they had gone down the disciplinary route and sacked him that way thus avoiding paying compensation.

Whatever happens,  the club and supporters must now do everything to destroy Gardiner's reputation,  within the law of course.

I'll start by calling him a corrupt, devious and dishonest b*****d.

Charles, you may be correct, but unless there is something we do not know, SG left with a clean disciplinary record.

As he wasn't listed as a Director of either the football club or concert company then correct?

I do wonder if HMRC will be interested in him claiming he's an employee rather than a consultant though?

How the board could not see through this guy in the last few years beggars belief. What the hell were they seeing in this fraud of a guy . It certainly wasn’t his charm, managerial   or people skills, He just rubbed everyone up the wrong way  .  Any football club now would surely avoid him like the plague . I Remember when he arrived he used to try use his  poor Scotty dog to try influence fans. Not a nice guy just a vile human being that thought everything evolved around Scot Gardiner .
Hopefully the creep  doesn’t get a penny  of the club , Continuously  taking unearned wages for years is criminal enough .
Hopefully Savage finds enough on him . I’m sure any dirt on him would be appreciated .

I sense that savage thinks he had sacked gardiner and it has only now transpired that he had resigned and given 12 months notice. Either that or the belief is he was on a much shorter notice period.

Employment law is tricky and tends to favour the employee in these circumstances. They would need to legally show gross misconduct to dismiss him earlier and knowing someone was and proving it are very different things.

Very interesting to discover if SG is still technically on the payroll which prima facie would show he is still an employee.  But as STFU indicates employment law has its pitfalls for both sides.

Thinking back to who initially inflicted the aforementioned master grifter upon the club it would seem only fair that Mr Rae and the Muirfiled Mills quango take some responsibility for the subsequent train wreck they've inflicted upon the club.  They chose to appoint the clown after his reign of chaos at both Dundee and Hearts which was well documented and very much in the public domain when they appointed him.  Presumably it was they who agreed to the ludicrous 12 month notice period.   Maybe time they put their hand in their pocket to right this wrong.

Yes, it's been very noticeable (and very strange) that their names haven't appeared amongst those former club officials and investors that Alan Savage has been talking to.

As I said recently, I think that Rae has the largest shareholding in his own name of any shareholder.  (Savage has more, but they are owned by Orion.)   And his mates have quite a few, as well.

Time to stump up, gentlemen.

You wonder how these people can fun a successful business when their gut feeling in recruiting an individual can be so off the mark. Even we the fans were less gullible and less than convinced by his appearance on the podcast, or by his body language in the famous press conference. But in 2019 we were well warned on p&b by the Dundee contributors who were pointing and laughing and saying that he would destroy our club.

Press Conference tomorrow. Hopefully good news!

Either someone's come up with a bucket of cash or we're going into administration.

More likely the later !!!

Might just be a progress report.  Keep folks informed.  Like any decent club / management does.

Taking a more positive line, we will shortly be seeing more scouts at our games to source young talent.  Savage is unlikely to stop moving forward now.

No press conference or just no news from the press conference?

What happened with the Portuguese investor group? Guess that went nowhere?

I doubt any group or individual would want to invest in us until there are assurances around our viability and clarity with our financial situation.

Hearing that Cameron and Munro were the first to write off what they were owed in loans and Morrison is the one refusing to do so. He is also owed much more than the others.

Here are some speculative thoughts I have on the situation.

The battery farm situation is being complicated by the fact that even if all previous directors sign their shares back to the club then Morrison still has a hold over it via the charge he has with the club.

Administration would result in the club having no rights to any battery farm income that might come in future as it would immediately pass to Morrison.

Morrison can't afford to just write everything off and walk away as it would personally bankrupt him. If he doesn't get paid then the next best thing is he gets the battery farm and at least has a chance of clawing back his money.

I also think the Gardiner claim situation isn't that vital as compared to what Morrison is owed it's a drop in the ocean.

Someone has leaked this admin document to put pressure on Morrison. The club have been slow to officially comment because they want him to stew on it a little.

All speculation and it could be that everyone owed money has written it off but the problem now is getting an investor willing to cover costs until further cuts and savings can be made.

I fully expect when the official comment does come it will be to add further urgency to our situation and perhaps an indicative timeline for when admin will happen if deals are not done.
