This is not about punishing a particular team. This is about protesting against the enethical means by which this new Rangers are going to be treated in the SPL. Sorry but if the clubs vote to accept the new Rangers then I wont be supporting the clubs. I will be one of the 60 odd thousand Scottish football fane who have indicated they will stop supporting Scottish football. The message to the clubs is simple. Drop the newco team and survive of accept the newco team and die.3 points

Just heard on Radio Scotland Paul Clark from Duff and Phelps saying that Bill Miller will take over Rangers and transfer all the assets to a new company, leaving all the debt in the old company (good luck to all the creditors then and that includes all us taxpayers). He also went on to say that Miller has received assurances from the authorities that the new Rangers company will play in the SPL next season. That's the end for me. Not going to pay good money to follow a team in a crooked league. A league that supports a club that evaded tax for a decade. A league that supports a club that owes £130 million because they bought the SPL title for a number of years and has no intention of paying this money back. I'll get my football kicks at Clach or City next season.2 points

Integrity is about honesty and trust. The SPL is run by dishonest people who cant be trusted. Are we willing to support that and continue to be the laughing stock of the world or do we support an entertainment media that does display integrity? Gabby, your assumptions on losses are based on lies from the leaders of the SPL and the idea that TV would walk away from a league without Rangers. No TV company has come forward and said they would walk away. The only persons who indicated such are those who were in the pockets of Rangers and Celtic. If Scottish football cant be successful without Rangers then Scottish football doesn't deserve to survive.2 points

Well Maurice - as we probably cant pick or attract a decent striker we are going to have to make one ourselves.2 points

Courier story here on contract offers: http://www.inverness...Kay-to-stay.htm some snippets: I have seen enough of Tansey to think he can go on to have a good future at this club, like most of the team he has been below par for the last few games but i think it would be worthwhile getting him signed up McKay has come into a bit of form over the last few games, if only we played tactics to suit him (ie ball on the deck) i am sure he would have more goals to his name. Glad to see Butcher looking to extend his deal but we need another forward to compliment him Glad to hear 2 year deals are being offered. One year deals are pointless IMO, the player doesnt really commit to the club in that 6 months into that deal he can speak to any other club and the club has no protection on their investment. relegation wage drops can be written into contracts so i dont buy that players wont commit if the club may drop a division This is the bit that pleased me most, it is abundantly clear we need some reinforcements in the team and i'm glad to hear Butcher has starting looking at players. Getting Black back would be a real coup and while i'm not optimistic it will happen given his now higher wage demands i'm glad to see Butcher showing interest Clarkson would be a great signing however i think this article is merely specualting that Butcher is interested, i certainly hope he is though!1 point

OK - I'll go along with this. Terry alternates between good seasons and bad - this one has not been good. The presence of County will inspire us to better things. The team will regroup over the summer, learning from mistakes. Top six for me, and a cup final. Hell, it's just another meaningless poll!1 point

Confidence is not high. Realistically I'll settle for some finishing above County and some entertaining home games, with performances containing some passion. Anything else is a bonus.1 point

Again - come on folks. Tansey was feckin playing fer a relegated Stockport County. He is a young lad and the step up to the SPL is a biggie. Just look at how Rooney faired early doors - Barry Robson was rubbished initially etc., etc., etc. Tansey can only get better and McKay needs to have a partner to get the best out of him. They can only both improve and are possibly two of the few who have been played close to their favoured positions. Black is a non starter but Clarkson - with the TB connection - would be a GREAT signing.1 point

I assumed Tansey would be offered a new contract - he's been about as close to a mainstay as we've had this season. I've been a little disappointed by him, what with him apparently having been Stockport's player of the season before coming up to us, but the team has been so unsettled this season that it would probably be rash to write him off and to assume we could do better. McKay? Good worker, some nice touches, doesn't look like a goalscorer, but possibly a good partner for a proper penalty box striker. Clarkson is an interesting idea - he was a genuine goalscorer at Motherwell, though I've no idea how he's done at Bristol. As for Blackie, nice dream, but he said in all his press interviews around the Scottish Cup semi-final that he wanted to move to England next season, and I'm sure he'll have far more rewarding offers than anything ICT can give him even if he does stay in Scotland. I also expect Tokely to go. I think he'd have been out the door with Munro and Duncan last season if he hadn't had that extra year on his contract, and to be honest, if I'd had to choose between them, I would rather have kept Munro, but I'll be sorry to see him go if this is his last season, and not just for sentimental reasons: I think he's been one of our better players in a dreadful campaign and has probably done enough to earn a new contract.1 point

can we not just take this for what it is? an iniciative from the club to try and increse interest in season tickets and get more sales. weve been calling for years for the club to do something inovative to try and increase interest now they have. it definatly a step in the right direction imo and kenny and the board have done a good job on this imo.1 point

A few people have mentioned recently that Mackay would be good if only he had the right strike partner, but the reality is that we only play one up front and there's no sign of that tactic changing. If Mackay is our lone striker next season we aren't going to score many goals.1 point

That's what i'm wondering. Last year it was announced a few weeks before the end of the season who will be released. It's possible that players have been told privately. Maybe the Munro / Duncan supporters back lash means that if players are being released, it will be announced publicly after the season ends. I do find it odd that Tade was offered a new contract and then dropped for the last couple of games. I can only assume that McKay was being tested and he's passed the test. I like Tansey and McKay. There seems to be a lot of negative comments about Tansey on CTO. He's had plenty of bad games for sure. But so has everyone including Jonny Hayes! Like Hayes, Tansey has had plenty of good games. McKay has played well enough and works hard enough to get a new contract. I'm sure he would score more goals if he wasn't on his own up front with the ball hoofed to him. He's just not that type of player. If he can get a good strike partner, then he could be our top scorer next season into double figures.1 point

MacKay COULD come good with the right type of service and patrner. Tansey is pretty overrated IMO flatters to decieve too often for me, I often forget he's on the pitch. Would be great to have Blackie back, but as others have said I doubt we could afford him.1 point

I would be delighted if Black came back but I would guess his wage demands would be too much for us, Clarkson would be an excellent signing, we need someone who is capable of putting the ball in the back of the net and he has proven he can do it in the SPL1 point

Someone described the players as mercenaries - with a performance like that they should be paying just to get a game! Worst performance of the season? Did Foran make any passes to his own players? How lucky was he not being sent off with his blatant body hug? I am seriously considering not renewing my season ticket!1 point

At least Charlie Allan has realised that Hayes is 24 and not 27 as he said he was in his other piece. Oh, and Charlie Allan is a deluded fool when it comes to Aberdeen. Take his stories with a pinch of salt.1 point

Pay towards the sporting integrity of the league ? Cash for integrity? Im a wee bit confused. You cant buy integrity.1 point
-
I completely understand what your saying but my solution will be different if this happens. I won't be going to any games involving 'Rangers'. I'll treat it as a weekend off football. I couldnt't go and support another team though. It's either Caley Thistle or nothing at all. If Rangers emerge as a newco and carry on in the SPL, I might invoice them for the games we've lost at Ibrox. £25 quid to watch us lose (like in December) against a team fielded fraudulently.1 point
-
If you have to pay to maintain integrity, then surely it isn't integrity? Scottish football is far too expensive as it is without requesting fans to contribute extra. On the other hand, I would happily pay a huge sum of money if it meant Rangers were playing at Borough Briggs next season.1 point

The only positive I can take out of tonight is that I'm spared the need to attend any further games this season. An utterly dismal season from start to finish. I've not seen one decent performance this season and feel massively disillusioned by the whole ICT experience. I've dedicated a ridiculous amount of time, money and energy following the club over the years but unless there are some major changes this summer I seriously need to consider whether I can justify dragging myself and ymip jr around the country watching a product which has been mind numbingly appalling this season. From my perspective the club has little or no direction and has fundamentally lost the spirit that set us apart and drove us through the divisions. I've felt next to no affinity with the guys out on the park this season who largely seem to be mercenaries with no sense of what the club means to us and the struggle we've had to get to where we are. Not sure another raft of jobbing trialists is going to address this problem. I don't think I'm alone in feeling disenchanted with the way the club is headed and unless something is done about it as a matter of urgency then I fear we're facing a very bleak future.1 point

Not sure on that blue white and red. Its very County like. Especially with the dark blue. I would really like that as our away top. I wouldn't hesitate buying it and its far better than our current one. Looks like a France away top.1 point

What I am saying is that in the total absence of Rangers or during such period as they may make their way back up through the SFL, I see no scenario other than Scottish football's turnover reducing and I believe that this would affect ALL clubs. To try to argue that visits of the OF to Inverness are actually not all that financially beneficial due to police and stewarding costs etc is to a large extent an extrapolation of an argument that Inverness football might have been better staying in the SFL or even in the Highland League! For the sake of breivty since my piece of chicken was in danger of overcooking in the oven (!) I used the term "disciplined" in a fairly loose manner in my last post. It was really meant as a generic term for the consequences for other clubs of severe financial problems such as Airdrie reforming as Airdrie United and starting all over again via Clydebank's registration, Dundee getting docked 25pts for a second administration, Livi finding themselves back in Division 3 and Gretna getting docked 10 points before their wholly predictable demise. I do realise that there are earlier examples such as Motherwell gong into administration and getting off scot free but my basic point is that IF Rangers actually went out of business, which is an extreme outcome but is the scenario on which I have been basing much of what I have been saying, it would be grossly unjust if "Son of Rangers" were to do anything other than start all over again in D3. However, the absolute essence of my view is that Scottish football's turnover is so concentrated and polarised on two clubs whose rivalry looms so large on the landscape that if you suddenly remove one of them completely from the scenario I can see no way that some kind of house of cards situation would not befall the rest of the set up.1 point
