I really hope we get a good crowd as a payback for the problems the club will face financially and I will be there. The people of Inverness (and beyond) need to put their money where their mouth is now.3 points

We've had a lot nicer tops, it's ok though. Not usually a regular buyer of shirts whenever they come out but will definitely be getting this one at the weekend, more than ever now the club needs our full backing in terms of money and support.3 points

No point playing us then. I see you have unfortunately met one of our mentally deranged supporters already.3 points

well today saw 24 players and 3 coaching staff attend a team bonding day at RAF Lossiemouth. the guys arrived and were given a welcome brief and split into four teams. the idea behind the four teams was to give an element of team bonding but also to give a competitive edge to the day. the first event lined up was a session in the gym run by the PTI's . it started with the guys shooting some basketball as a warm up and trying to score points for the section...... the less said about Ryans performance the better lol after that the guys had the real work. two teams competed in a crash mat race where they had to launch themselves onto a mat and make it slide along the gym floor. they then sprinted to the end of the gym before running back to tag the next team member. while the senior teams were battling out on the mats the two younger teams were put through there paces on a crossfit circuit. boy did they work 20 burpees to bar, 20 swiss ball pikes, 20 squat jumps to box , 20 press swing to dip 20 med ball toss and lastly 10 20m shuttles. the guys did themselves proud and worked hard throughout . after we finished in the gym the guys had a lesson on the rifle to prepare them for the afternoons activities. lunch in the mess was followed by the real meat of the day. once again the guys were in there four teams and we had a small round robbin set up for them team one went onto our indoor rifle trainer to try some shooting team two had a mental challenge (tower of hannoi) team three were put through there paces on a practice grenade stand, with points for accuracy through a target window... may of helped that we had pictures of the management team and the ross county crest in there lol team four had a drill lesson with the Flight Sergent and learnt how to march, the next couple of hours were spent rotating the guys through each of the stands while the coaching staff had the opportunity to asses the performance of the guys. once every team had completed all the stands a trophy was presented to the winning section by the station commander. once i can i will get some pictures uploaded but it has to be said i was really impressed by the guys today and it has raised my hope for the season2 points

It isnt going to get better anytime soon if the club has not money from folk not buying season tickets! I think you can play attractive football without spending a fortune on players, no question a lot of folk have been turned of by the style of football played last season2 points

I'm glad we are signing / hoping to sign Simon King. I was impressed with him at Helgin. I think going with youngsters to fill the gaps is the only thing we can do. Finances of the Scottish game have dictated who Butcher can and cannot sign. This is it. If Simon King is added to the squad then we have our squad complete for the new season. It's time for the youngsters to make their mark - not just at our club, but at every club. Lets get behind every single one of our lads. They need our support!2 points

Left us for the bright lights of Perth and to play european football. Shame he wont feature due to a hamstring injury. . The Caley curse has struck once again.1 point

As I do every season I attend as many games as I can but its not easy when you work away, this year I aim to try time trips better to get to as many games as I can home or away - show faith in the team and board since they listened to our voices over the Newco situation. I know times are tight financially but even if irregular fans can make 1 or 2 games a month, then hopefully if everyone gets behind the team the effects of the lesser money can be bridged.1 point

Yes it does. There are hundreds, no thousands, of teams who play in stripes of varying colours every season and their kits still vary and fans still buy them. Our most important/visible part of our brand identity is the shirt the players and fans wear, yet we constantly mess with this (and IMO get it wrong), there are no other teams in Scotland and only 1 in the UK I believe that play in red & blue vertical stripes, it's the ideal way to make us instantly identifiable and unique but we choose to ignore it. Try wearing a non striped ICT shirt in Glasgow and folk think you are a sevco fan: blue with red bits = sevco. And the same goes for most other parts of Scotland too, in fact Inverness is probably the only exception. Maybe it's because I work in the design industry that I feel the whole brand identity thing matters a lot, maybe I'm just need to get out more! Either way, I'll find a different way to put money into the club although I am sure my Dad will buy the shirt for me for my birthday (again - thanks Dad!). And I should add my opinion has no pre-merger influence whatsoever.1 point

I can understand both sides of this arguement. Season tickets by the fact that they are paid for before the start of the season gives a club a healthy advance on their future gate receipts and allows them to bank that money and assist with the day to day running of the club at times when the other revenue streams are limited. That said when the season starts and if the attendances are as per last season and the only difference is a greater number have decided to choose their games instead of purchasing a season ticket then more money will actually be taken at the turnstiles on a matchday or in advance ticket sales. Interestingly enough the home friendly v Coventry City and then the first home league game v Kilmarnock will give us pointers to firstly what the general mood is towards ICT this season and secondly whether there is any sign of an attendance surge post-newco fiasco. Having said all that if we come out of the blocks playing attractive free-flowing high scoring football then the attendances will go up irrespective of whatever external factors are in play. Anyhow not really that long to wait now until it is clear which way it will go....1 point

Yes. Chances are though, they've bought that seat and will be sitting there. It's not really a very difficult concept to understand.1 point

30 years ago...I was reguarly attending Caley games in the Highland League. It may have been a mickey mouse standard but al tell you this.....i was ENTERTAINED week in week out. I cant say that about football in Scotland these days......Last time i felt the same, was under Pele Paterson....win lose or draw, at least i left feeling i had my moneys worth. And that is a major thing for me, especially when times are economically difficult. Im deadly serious when i say this....Id rather ICT were a mid table, part Time Second Division team, who played entertaining football, than be an spl team and see the PISH that was served up the majority of the times i saw them last season1 point

Its been a long time since I could honestly say that season tickets were value for money in the Scottish Football. Ticket prices in Scotland generally do not represent value for money due to the nature of our game (long ball games with little entertainment, over reliance on physicality, lacking in skill, flair or atmosphere) IMO entertaining games are free flowing, attacking, atmospheric, dramatic and noisy games and if they were more frequent then tickets may become better value for money and we may have more fans attending games. Sadly the days of these appear to be long gone1 point

what yngwie said, if you pressured Kenny Cameron than put your money where your mouth is, otherwise he has no reason to believe you the next time you stamp your feet. I wasn't happy with his statement beause it looked like he was trying to pave the way for a spl u-turn, happily this is not the case and i do not grudge the club my Season Ticket money even though I will only make a handfull of games.1 point

It does look like that might in fact be it. As the article states that if a deal can be agreed with Simon King then that will be the last new face in before the season starts.... Warren is still out but Tudor-Jones may make an appearance in one of the next two games....if there is any doubt over his fitness I don't think he should be risked as we do not want a repeat of last season so early http://www.inverness...h-ICT-squad.htm As that other Scotsman once said 'You don't win anything with kids' - well let's just see what happens....and I for one hope he's proved wrong again1 point

FYI I phoned the club yesterday and ordered 3 tickets for the hospitality package. The nice lady/girl who took my order mentioned that they had opened up the offer to non season ticket holders. Thought i would mention it for any that may be interested but are not ST holders.1 point

I'm not trying to cause conflict here, all I'm saying is buy the shirt. I don't understand why it has to be an issue whether you like it or not, if you love the club then you'll wear it no matter what.1 point

I quite like it, no doubt I'll buy it. If your a true ICT fan you'll buy it no matter what it looks like otherwise who are you Gok Wan? It's not a fashion contest lol.1 point

We also got relegated in a predominately blue shirt. Maybe we'll get league reconstruction in a predominately blue shirt. It's certainly different. I think I like it, but i'll need to see it up close. However, i'll be at the club shop to buy it tomorrow. It would be great for us to have our biggest quantity sales of strips ever considering the current finances!!! No matter what the colours are, there's a Caley Thistle badge on it. That'll do for me.1 point

Feck you Dundee you never won the league! 12 points and and you fecked it up! Just getting some practice in.1 point

Seriously, I think there's a lot of scope for more fans to use the Social Club since the profits go back to the football club. I just don't understand Inverness at the moment. The Portland Club has gone bust, the Leejun is struggling and the Caley Club certainly doesn't look as busy as it has done in recent years. But yet, compared with pubs over town, prices at the Leejun and the Caley Club are absolutely rock bottom - sometimes almost half what you would pay in Inverness's more expensive establishments. Now I do realise that a lot of people are taking the even cheaper option of buying supermarket drink and staying at home to watch inane talent shows on the telly or getting tanked up before abusing each other on Facebook or Twitter. But maybe it's time folk started getting a life again and began socialising with real people in a pub which seriously undercuts the rest of the market rather than getting tanked up at home. Maybe if more fans would use the Social Club they might also enhance their own corporate identity as supporters and also, through the Social Club, strengthen their sense of identity with the Football Club.1 point

If there's anyone, anywhere in the whole setup with the slightest sign of a brain cell then the SFA will force the Joint Proposal for Reform and a Merger on the SFL & SPL.....just as they should have done the minute Rangers were liquidated and this whole sorry mess reached the point of no return. Regan will leave the SFA "by mutual consent", no position will be found for Doncaster in the new setup. The league reconstruction (assumng NewCo can win promotion next season) will see NewCo end up in the second tier for season 2013/14. The SFA, the only ones in Scottish football with any money, to bankroll the transition with SKY/ESPN not being as harsh on cutting the existing deal as they might have been because, despite what Doncaster might have us believe, they actually want a larger more competitive top league as well. Any attempt to give NewCo a foot up by any other means will be suicide for the game and we may as well turn out the lights the moment such an announcement is made.1 point

Sneak the team formerly known as Rangers into the SFL First Division. Bully the SFL into submitting to a submission takeover a fair and structured amalgamation. Creep to the fat cats in the SFA to ensure their corruptness independent monitoring. Make Ross County play all their games on the Sabbath1 point

What we need is a player like Jan Venegoor of Hesselink and sell the letters at £1.00 each. Mind you if we did that with IMMORTAL HOWDEN ENDER t-shirts we could make an extra £19.00 a time - and it would be the ideal gift for stalkers like furball and Noelinbred.1 point

Yer man has.... I think the body paint alternative for the woman's game could help it's profile though....1 point

Here's a thought. If all teams played in skins and the players got the team strip tattooed onto their bodies: We wouldn't change strip every season The club wouldn't have to shell out on team kit No laundry needed No more bookings for taking a shirt off to celebrate No more jersey pulling Players would be a helluva lot more loyal! I just can't think why this hasn't been done before.1 point

Can the supporters Trust be a vehicle for cash donations that are then used to buy shares in the club. This way the generosity of the fans of today, in supporting the club in its moments of need, can build a lasting legacy of share ownership, and therefore a stronger voice in the club.1 point
