  1. Roy MacGregor bought 10,000 then gave them away so beating county's sales will not be difficult . Why can we not just enjoy the moment, sell as many as we can, then see what happens as this club has nothing further to prove. we are "the pride of the highlands" and are barely 21 years old

Because this is me each day at work since we beat Celtic

Falkirk Bairn here is peace. Good luck to you in the final. I think it is going to be a much better occasion than the hacks are making out. We are underdogs but certainly if you underestimate us you will get it tough. I think there will be near 40,000 there. All the best. COYB (sorry couldn't resist)
  4. Instead of worrying about how many tickets we have told or Falkirk have sold how about drumming up some additional sales for ICT by getting family or friends to go along? Try and get as many folk involved as possible.
  5. Huh? ... The game's this month, mate ... nae August ... just saying ;) An August occasion it May be for the fans who March on to the final !
  6. Lets be honest it looks like we've sold the north stand and nearly half the east stand, so that's brilliant regardless how regularly people come to games. Even if just 100-200 of that come to games more regular that can only be a good thing for us. Theres too much of this talk of 'glory hunters' etc, everyone has to start going to games somewhere, I know some involved with the club now who weren't even supporters 10-15 years ago. So lets give everyone a chance eh.
  7. How about we forget the fact that many attending the final have never been to the TCS and will, in all probability not go in the future and concentrate instead on celebrating that we have, by all accounts, already sold more tickets for a match than any before in our history with two and a half weeks still to go.
  8. I have been to only 5 games at TCS this season, but have managed 14 away games? Does that mean I am a glory hunter? Our diaspora is spread throughout the world. I am sure there are plenty of people who would love to attend more games, but geography/finances dictate otherwise. It is hardly surprising that a number of those will make the effort to be part of a momentous occasion. That doesn't make them glory hunters.
  9. Just looking over the previous few seasons... This season: Ryan Christie v St Mirren for two yellow card challenges - deserved. Last season: Greg Tansey and Marley Watkins v Dundee Utd for serious foul play - stupid challenges that most refs would've shown red for. We've actually probably benefited from more 'dodgy' calls than we have suffered when Collum has officiated. Billy Mckay scoring a hand ball v. Dundee... given a pen v St Mirren for Warren getting pulled in the box (most refs would've let that go I reckon)... We just have to go into the game knowing that he'll be picky and alter our play to suit that. If we are in the opposition area more than they are there is a greater chance we'll be given a penalty than they will for example.
  10. They will sell what they sell. What I would like to see though is youngsters getting down and back as simply and as cheaply as possible for their Hampden 2015 experience.
  11. I simply cannot understand why the club won't release updates of ticket sales and instead treat it as some kind of secret. There's every chance that making this information public will encourage more people to decide to go on the basis that "if they're going, then I'm going". The club should be taking every opportunity to publicise the final, every snippet of information is more column inches in the press. I would have thought a "Let's get more than County" or "Lets get more than Falkirk" campaign could only result in more sales which means more money for both clubs (Falkirk & ICT, not County!). I don't have an issue with glory-seekers going to the Cup Final and I think it's short sighted for people to be slagging them off for it. The chances are this is the best and possibly only chance we will ever have of winning the Cup and the possibility of getting a few hundred more regular fans as a result should be a bonus, Maybe someone from the Club could explain why they are so secretive about ticket numbers?

    It's the 30th soon right??
  13. Could be the SFA are wanting to get Colum back on the go again so in there mind they thought they would try him out in this final between two diddy teams before letting him loose on real games like the OF.
  14. A press release from today: Inverness Caledonian Thistle have announced they will start selling tickets for the William Hill Scottish Cup final with Falkirk from the Victorian market shop. The club will also be selling tickets for Saturday’s SPFL Premiership match with Dundee United from the city centre base. It’s party time on Saturday, with European football next season in the bag. Under 16’s go FREE and tickets can be bought for £10 with any shop purchases.
  15. Huh? ... The game's this month, mate ... nae August ... just saying ;)
  16. We only used one sub, so our 12 players: Cammy Mackay 0 Chris Brown 0 Calum Howarth 0 Kane Hull 0 Jason Brown 0 Stephen Rennie 0 Liam Polworth 5 Chris Blackett 0 Ali Stark 0 Tarmo Kink 4 Ali Sutherland 1 Ryan Baptie 0
  17. Falkirk Fan at work says their initial 10,000 allocation is sold out and they club have asked for a further 2,000 tickets. Gulp!
  18. I have been to only 5 games at TCS this season, but have managed 14 away games? Does that mean I am a glory hunter? Yes. I hope you return your tickets right away. The SFA may have helped make that choice easier with their choice of referee?
  19. Can't we multitask and do both? Seriously tho it's great what we've sold and sales are apparently still strong (which actually in an odd way is giving me a bit of a headache lol). All I'm saying is for the long term financial stability of the club it would be fantastic if from our outstanding cup exploits a few hundred decided to make ICT part of their weekly routine.
  20. Ticket fulfilment (i.e posting them out) for online sales and sales via the booking centre number are being handled externally. I believe they are due to start posting tickets by the end of this week.
  21. Surely with Hughes modelling our footballing philosophy on Guardiola's Barcelona, it makes sense for us to go back to our vertical red and blue stripes? Just a suggestion.

He claims he should be back for pre-season
  23. A lot of people on here seem to be under the impression that strengthening the squad somehow means bankrupting the club or spending money we don't have. Butcher in his time here strengthened the squad each year without bankrupting the club, Pele did it every season he was here without bankrupting the club, why cant Yogi? I have never said that we have to splurge money we don't have on adding to the squad I am merely saying that to have a squad ready for domestic and foreign pursuits then we have to bolster the squad. Yogi has stated himself there will be around 4-5 departures over the close season. We will be losing our captain who will be a huge player to replace, we have no senior strikers contracted to the club beyond the summer so this team will require replacements and additions and I have full faith in the board and management in doing this within our means. The whole point of the thread wasn't to discuss a shopping list of European superstars, it was to see if and where we need to look at strengthening for next season
  24. Why the fuss ?.......leave it to our management team.............They have done a marvellous job up 'till now and no doubt they will do so again. Whoever remains from our current playing squad at the end of the season deserves a crack at playing in European football..... they earned it This is our first venture so let all enjoy it, players, management and supporters.....Do not expect or demand miracles........It took us 21 years to get this far............This is bonus time for all, another piece of history and another brick in the building.... be content with cementing this one in,............... enjoy it..........and the kudos it has brought us.............no need to bankrupt the Club or even overstretch the budget........ We have the means to do things in our own modest way. Hail ICT you have done us proud....players, management, staff, supporters and special mention to Away guys/Gals and singing section.
  25. Forget about Europe we need to strengthen for the league Campaign next season , with a replacement for Shinnie and at least one other forward and maybe more depending on who goes ,who stays. Europe will take care of itself lets just go and enjoy as previous poster has said win , lose or draw after all I don't expect us to progress to the group stages given the success of Scottish Clubs in recent years
  26. Adam Rooney called up for Republic of Ireland Squad for Scotland game http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32703107
  27. Strengthening for Europe.... Strengthening. For. Europe STRENGTHENING FOR EUROPE Sorry but im still struggling to believe we have actually done it. Cant believe those words are even bein uttered. Feelings of pride and emotion these past few days. And thats for someone who started watching football/ICT at age of 7 when we were in 3rd division. I cant imaging how it must feel for those who remember the pre merger days of the 80s when the mere thought of a merger was astounding never mind an Inverness team in the Scottish League. Now look at us!
  28. Ticket arrived safely on Friday. How fantastic that we can now look forward to this final knowing that we have already qualified for Europe with two matches to spare. Had we missed out on 3rd place, the added pressure on the team on final day would have been tremendous. Now the team, management and all us supporters can really enjoy the day out and anticipate a good victory and even more glory. Bring it on.
  29. That is a coincidence so is one of mine.
  30. Living in Perth, it was great to be surrounded by all the cup final buzz and build up last May, and it made me very envious that ICT weren't in the final. Perth is quite similar to Inverness in terms of being a similar sized place that generally doesn't have a huge amount of interest in its football team, even one which punches above its weight. But the whole place got right into the cup final spirit, with schools, shops, local papers, the council etc all getting involved, so I really hope Inverness can rise to the occasion and for once give the team the backing it deserves.
