  1. Dearest Forum friends... After some thinking, I write to simply apologise for my outburst during the early hours of Saturday morning. I believed that I had all the facts but sadly my ignorance got the better of me. I would like to thank L_G for her time to 'put me right' whilst we messaged on Saturday morning. I do believe I was given some 'half-truths' from the people I had been in contact with, but clearly it was not the WHOLE truth. To give you a little background information, three of my best mates were banned for 3 months by the Club in 2007 during the Mike Smith/West Stand Singing Section fiasco....remember that? Sadly these three guys never came back and still have nothing to do with ICT. So when I heard that 30 odd youngsters had now been 'banned' I feared the worst, panicked and overreacted. I was fearful that an even larger group of young/future fans were now going to be alienated and not come back... However as it has been detailed to me by L_G that CJT and the majority of the young team appear to be happy to move on and therefore so am I!! It has also come to my attention that a couple of CJT stalwarts have tendered their resignations. This saddens me on a personal level because I know them and the hard work they have put in to the supporters group. Sure, this past week hasn't been dealt with too fantastically, but when you look at the long list of achievements in which CJT have been involved in, last week was a minor blip! I desperately ask those who have tendered their resignations to have a long think before next weeks AGM and reconsider!! I say this because there is somewhat uncertainty on whether CJT can continue if they are not replaced. It is a whole lot more beneficial for us as supporters to have CJT than not to have them. They are the middle man between us the fans and the board.....We need them! I have been asked in the past to consider joining CJT but sadly I don't have the time at the moment to commit 100%. that's not to say I won't do it in the future, because as you know through my FC United connections I fully support and fan/supporter involvement at Club level. However as JamieICT stated before on this thread, I do feel there needs to be a representative for the younger/under30s fanbase. Had their been a representative for this age group, there may have never been such a 'blow up' and confusion, Maybe this is an area CJT can look into in the near future? Anyways that's enough from me! #Togetherness
  2. "I've got the Celtic ball - now where's the Morton one?"
  3. Can we play the podcast of this evening's Sportsound to the players in the dressing room prior to the quarter final ? Both Keith Jackson and Graham Spiers writing off our chances of progressing against either of the Edinburgh clubs.
  4. Very well said indeed and a young representative on the board would be a fine thing but is there a youngster keen to stand and willing to make the commitment ?
  5. You must get bored of your own patter. It's horrendous and repetitive. If it's not this it's how some of our dedicated fans are beneath you and are low lifes. Such a bore.

Feb 8 and time to remember and celebrate an event that continues to inspire joy around the world... Gong Xi Fa Cai !! Happy Chinese New Year to all!
  7. The SFA have confirmed that the venue for all four ties will be New Douglas Park.......unless the pitch as been pre booked by under 12s teams....
  8. A new low for the SFA. Piss up and brewery come to mind......
  9. Looking at Hibs' fixtures, I'd much prefer them. The following Sunday, they have the LC final and they are scheduled to have a game against Rangers on the Monday. That would have to be rescheduled, but is a more important game for them (whenever it happens). Hearts will be secure in 3rd and would be able to give the tie their full attention. C'mon the Hibees!
  10. Probably ! When you realise you should have been driving to Forres !
  11. Would have been a good signing again at the right price but he's nowhere near good enough to justify breaking our wage structure for.
  12. Tonight's draw could produce a series of local derbies - apart from Edinburgh - but they've still a replay to contend! Obviously, all this is a very long-shot! Assuming Dundee and Rangers win their replays, which is quite conceivable, we could get: Inverness CT v Ross County Celtic v Rangers Dundee v Dundee United Hearts or Hibernian v Morton Won't happen, but I wouldn't be surprised to see one derby match come out... But this draw should have been done yesterday on BBC after the EK-Celtic game!
  13. I've done a blog piece about Fir Park which has a fair bit of ICT interest HERE.

Please note that Caley Jags Together will be holding their 2016 Annual General Meeting for members on Thursday the 25th of February at 7pm. Venue is the ICT Social Club, Greig Street, Inverness. Attached (should be) the full notice, previous minutes and nomination form for new board members. Nominations for new board members are asked to be submitted by 12 noon on the 24th and are very welcome as there are several board spaces that we would like to fill! Please be aware that this is a change from the original AGM date due to issues getting information out and the unfortunate recent loss of several board members. Race night will still be going ahead at the Social Club on the 19th at 7.30pm, all are welcome. Many thanks. CJT AGM Notice 2016.pdf
  15. It's a fair point you make.....but you have made the usual mistake of crediting the SFA with common sense and the necessary skills to run Scottish Football! Let's give them time to sort out how to draw eight balls out of a hat before burdening them with the four for the semis and tough logistical questions!
  16. At least we are spared a semi against an Edinburgh side played in a "neutral" venue in Edinburgh.
  17. Spiers & Jackson should stick to making garden tools, especially garden forks to turn the manure that comes out of their mouths.
  18. So who supplied the cheapo balls? I believe Lidl is one of the cup's sponsors
  19. Hope it's Hibs away rather than Hearts. Nothing wrong with a game at Tynecastle but given we play them on March 1st two away games v Hearts at Tynecastle in less than a week is a bit much!
  20. I've now caught up with what happened! Couldn't really have been a much more ironic hitch. I don't think anyone's statistical speculation on the other thread took account of a "burst ball".
  21. No doubt changed to Sunday with a 9 am ko to suit TVs
  22. and instead of a tricky away tie Celtic have been handed a home tie against the weakest team left in the competition........
  23. you could not make this stuff up! How difficult could it be? SFA are just an embarrassment!
  24. True champions dont care who the opposition is.
  25. Copyright Welsh rugby fans 1991.....
  26. You forgot to factor in the SFA's hot ball system.......
  27. A home tie. Don't much care who against. We showed last year that we are capable of beating anyone in this competition.
  28. Nah, must be lower than that. 1 in 105?
  29. Interesting comment from McGhee 'Inverness are the most tactical team in the league outside of Celtic'.
  30. Chick Young seemed pretty ecstatic describing the last goal even said he dipped his shoulder before taking it. Must be reading our forums.
  31. Managers tend to have favourite players. As you say Butcher and Brewster did, chances are so does Hughes. Nothing wrong with it but if players like Vincent and Raven leave because they are not favoured by Hughes it will be the first time in a while we lose players who are perhaps considered 'major' for us since Munro and Duncan.

  33. There are indeed not two but three certainties in life - death, taxes ..... and an grumpy response from Joe Indeed I've sometimes wondered if Joe could possibly be some long lost relation of the late Sir Geoffrey Howe since his rebukes do have a certain flavour of being savaged by a dead sheep!
  34. There seems to be an unfortunate assumption here that everyone who needs to be informed of this meeting subscribes to social media. It's a bit like putting an ad solely in the Daily Star or similar. By the way, how many choruses of "Scots Wha Hae" and "Flower Of Scotland" did Young Team members get through on the Gelluns bus yesterday... and how many of them got banned for singing "There'll Always Be An England"?
