Sheerin won the Development League in 2016. Also, please put some clothes on.

I'm increasingly feeling that it'll be a surprise appointment that hasn't even been mentioned yet.

Just gifted, I guess. Why are you not?

Huge amount of personal statements on this very feed abusing the media team and himself. What would you do in that situation apart from close down and drop out. Keep waiting for his critics to step up to the mark and help the media team. Always easier to take no responsibility and throw rocks than glaze the windows.

Signed in just to like this one.

As with Paul Sheerin, if Darren Dods hadn't played for us would people want him?

Agree entirely. The club are always short of cash and that will be even more the case next season but some things cost nothing or next to nothing and can make an enormous difference. One of these things is communication and I don't mean a 'media team' volunteers or otherwise tweeting endless drivel but simple communication of facts and plans for the future to the fans, who are the life blood of the club and who have been treated very badly in that respect of late. All that is required is for a single member of the board to be designated as communication director who's principal responsibility is to keep the paying customers in the loop. Some things will, of necessity, be commercially sensitive but there is much that can be shared that we are being utterly excluded from and, if they want us to continue to back them with our full support and hard earned cash then that must change.
  8. It's time the fans made a stance at the product on offer (zilch) and what the board are going to do about it (who knows). They need to stop treating us like fools and show us what the future holds. Where else do people go shopping and pay overpriced money for a sub standard product or a product that is not available at all. Apart from IKEA or Habitat. Time to wake up and stop being fleeced. Show us what you have to offer first.
  9. Good to see we're casting the net full stop !!

Dunno. Guess you don't know what you've got till its gone...
  11. Except that you probably will eventually O.C.G.? Mmmm?
  12. Have merged the two threads. As requested, this thread will be pinned and featured and become the new travel thread for the travel club until we have upgraded the site during the off season and have a new dedicated thread.

Those demanding an 'ambitious' appointment should remember it wasn't so long ago a Highland League manager built a team consisting largely of former Highland League players and Senior league cast offs who held their own in the Premier League for years. When's the last time we signed a talented young player from the Highland League? I'm not suggesting we should be overly sentimental about 'local lads', but seeing as we're about to embark on a rebuilding job, I would hope whoever is appointed doesn't overlook the untapped resources we have on our doorstep.

I think we are normally a fairly docile and largely loyal support. The communication from the club since end of season has been shambolic and its about time the club woke up and smelled the coffee. The ball is in their court. They need to talk to fans and sort this. Starting with the rationale for a price increase and the walk up prices. Oh and a bit of a plan for the season ahead would be good as well?
  15. 1 point
Not the fans problem. The board need to show some ambition and attract the necessary funding
  16. Spot on!!! I dont think there was any thought given to this at all and therein lies the problem.
  17. Agree. Sending out renewals leading to all round criticism of prices then no one seemingly around to provide any clarification or answers to fans is bizarre. They literally just posted the forms off and seemingly expected everyone will just go "Oh aye I'll renew no bother". It's as if they didn't expect folk to react the way many have done.
  18. Because we support the club, thats why! The club haven't been in much of a hurry (particularly the delay in RF leaving), but there will be some sort of a team with some sort of a manager so we should just get behind the club & stop moaning! Ludicrous to suggest we are preparing for another drop - if we went part time, I'd be thinking that, but we aren't!
  19. Kenny Cameron was also a very polite man and welcomed approaches and ideas from really genuinely interested parties who wanted to express their opinion politely and with well thought out views. And if you were lucky enough to be a guest of the club this visit would inevitably turn out to be a super experience where you would leave that club at the end of the day glowing with happiness and satisfaction. Now that takes real caring and a genuine interest from his heart to generate those kinds of feelings in any fan. And he was more than willing to share his time in advancing solid ideas in practical form alongside the person who wanted to actually do something positive. I know that to be a joyous fact from personal experience. There is no need for me to elaborate further but those who now denigrate him simply don't know him, his generosity of spirit, his sacrifices on behalf of, and his love for, the club and his willingness to give positive support to any suggestion that had any chance of success both for the club and for the enjoyment and emotional fulfilment of the person/fan who approached him for his support. Not to mention the glowing cheeks and heart of a little, disabled boy who once had a whale of a day on a matchday prior to leaving Inverness for another place. Good luck, Kenny, and God Bless You for all your hard work and loyalty to our Caley Thistle football club. .
  20. I think you will find that those who have resorted to personal attacks don't know the man at all. They speak out of ignorance and sheer ingratitude for all the hard work and success prior to one hugely disappointing season.
  21. Well said Scotty. I too am finding the personal attacks re KC out of order
  22. W/regards to Foran - I have no clue and as previous posters have said, we will never know in detail as it is confidential business information. You might be able to jump to a semi-valid conclusion if you pore through next year's accounts and compare staff costs or other categories, but the information is not going to be made public ... never has before and never will be in future .... W/regards to Kenny Cameron : He retired. end of story. no payoff there. To be honest, I am getting quite sick of the attacks on his character in multiple threads. Those that know him know he is a polite, soft-spoken, honest and genuine guy, who always had time to talk to any fans who wander into the stadium and ask for a chat. He is also a man who cares deeply about ICT and its fans (I have watched him go to bat for the 'kids' in the north stand on more than one occasion when he was a director and not yet chairman and those kids were getting hassle from overbearing stewards) and under his stewardship we did maintain our spot in the Premiership (until this year), won the Cup and got into Europe. Did he make a mistake with RF? Yes he did, and with the benefit of hindsight I am sure he would tell you the same thing ... although at the time (almost) everyone seemed happy with the natural progression that fans had talked about for years with Richie foran moving into the manager's chair. He might not be everyone's idea of a 'football man' but he has been around the club for almost as long as it has existed in various roles. He has put far more into it than he has ever taken out (like most current or former directors and chairmen). Did he get a financial benefit from ICT? Depends how you look at it .... the cynical would say yes and damn the details, but to my knowledge he is (or was) not pulling in a wage, but like many who have preceded him (and likely those that follow him) he has claimed reasonable expenses from the club for going about the job of chairman. You want to rip off a football club? or get rich running it? .... then you dont pick a perennial loss making team like ICT where every penny is watched ... and anyone who thinks differently is living in cloud cuckoo land !

Billy Reid did a great job at Hamilton and basically laid the foundations for all their success. The emphasis on youth and the organised system that they play is down to him. I'm not sure he's the person you want to come in and make a diffference straight away though. He was given a long run as Accies manager and waa able to out that in place. We need someone to come in, out a squad together and get us competing straight away. Billy Davies has an excellent track record as a manager in the second tier in England, I think it's highly doubtful that he's want to drop down to our level. He's also a notoriously difficult person to get on with, although the lesser press scrutiny up here might be a good thing for him. I'd say there's little chance of him coming here though. I wish he would, if only so I could hear Bannerman try to interview him.

Well here's hoping that one of the accounts main posters returns and carries on where he left off seeing as he practically built up the number of followers himself.

It seems that one of the main tweeters has left their post. Shame no one else was able to step in. I'm in no way having a go at the club about this but given how important social media is these days I was surprised not to see any activity on the ICT account about the competition. Some of the stuff has been a bit cringe over the years but for the most part it's a good account to follow and the club has become quite well known for it. Shame if things do go a bit quieter on this front in the future.
  26. Yes, I wish Fisher well (excuse the pun!) Seriously, though, he was treated shockingly by Foran and yet gave everything he could when called upon. Respect!

So, nothing on the official twitter account in a week. has their been a fall out with CaleyD and the new regime? has he changed the password of the official account and not told anyone? lack of communication with the support at a time when it is arguably most needed is another reason to shake the head at ICTFC just now. whilst Don may have had his reasons for stepping down, it beggars belief that there's no one at the club just now that can operate a twitter account. what exactly was the point in the m-word if we still act and operate like a Highland League club?

I certainly hope so some right dodgy managers getting plugged hope it's not sheerin have we sank that low we'd even consider a former Arbroath manager! Couldn't even win the development league! Has he contacts for players? Tactics? Style of football? Would rather not take another gamble! Personally I'd rather butcher back if he's come!

The thing that's worth remembering is that Dev League football is not about results, well, it shouldn't be anyway. It's about getting the Young uns regular competitive matches, employing tactics etc. It's arguable that those that finished mid-treble in the league were playing better football then Cunty at the top. those of us who haven't watched the Dev league regularly should really reserve judgement. There was a resounding support for Foran, and look where that wound up. simple economics means that we can't go and get a high profile manager, so we really just have to deal with who we get, and hope that they are keen to build a career. For this reason I'd rather stick with the 'limited experience' category.

Is there still time to Sack the board !!
