  1. Robbo has posted on this site in the past and I am sure still visits it. There would always be constraints on what and how much he could say but a weekly one hour question and answer session on here alternating on a weekly basis between the manager and a designated board member would cost nothing in terms of resources, go towards clearing up misunderstanding and ambiguity and generate much needed rapport and goodwill between club and fans.
  2. In reply to Gringo's post, the much criticised media consist at the moment of only one man who for years has tirelessly improved what is delivered at ICT using mostly all his own camera gear etc, to a standard which most SPFL clubs still do not come near which let me tell you is not cheap. He is for me who is above criticisim, he edits, streams matches, transformed a toilet at ICT into a media room and gets paid, em nowt! So I would suggest he is not hiding. Please take a bow AJ
  3. The people from the Dark Side are poking fun at us Jock !! And all of a sudden we have become a feeder club But once again we have a transfer fee revenue and undoubtedly released the players on the highest wages. Where has that spondoolachs gone or are we going to spend some ? Jock - for many it is more about the ineptidude and amateurism of our Board. It is bad enuff being a laffing stock on the pitch. It is truly, truly embarrassing.
  4. I'd be happy with a solid mid-table finish this season, with a relatively settled team to build on for next year. This has been a huge team turnover - new players, new manager, less money. We were unlikely to replace like with like. If John Robertson can settle the team down, get them playing together and keep us up comfortably, I'll take that as an acceptable season - not what I'd like, of course, but better than things look now.
  5. Where is Bill Gates when we need him? NOW! For Pete's sake, don't start blaming the coach - even though we poke fun at the gadgies up the road, who is in the SPL and we're not! The Dingwall area has even less of a population than we have, but they are clearly doing better than we are. This is a BUSINESS we are involved with - MONEY is what it is all about - and we havna got enough to have the quality players to gain us a proper and PERMANENT place in the top tier! I'm sure the players we do have are doing their best, it's not their fault they can't do any better - maybe the Clach could do better?! It's ALL to do with money and there are not enough millionaires in the Highlands to do the necessary!
  6. It was Sherwood Forest. 5-0 to the trees, whose pace and mobility we could not match.
  7. Recorded something post match with the manager, you should get it on the website early in the week. Audio only.
  8. I agree with you there caleyboy he was really poor yesterday and he was playing in the middle as everyone has been shouting for. Maybe we are all dreaming if we think he's going to be some kind of midfield star. Just doesn't look like it's going to happen
  9. fed up of waiting for him to become the player some think he should be.
  10. I know that communication from the club has been poor of late but surely that high profile friendly should have been better advertised.
  11. Maybe we should have brought Tony back (as opposed to Ridgers)? I still can't see why we brought Ridgers in if there were no offers for OFW pending. The latter is a solid enough keeper who didn't really need replaced. Granted he's on good money, but now we've 2 first team keepers and one still on good money and not playing. A lot has been said about his dodgy form last season which tbh is a bit unfair seeing as he was willing to battle through groin tears and back spasms to play. I'd love to see how others would compete with those injuries. He was good enough previously to get in the Wales euro finals squad so he's certainly capable. Our transfer policy has been very muddled since TB, MM and Steve Marsella left and it's slowly crept up on us.
  12. Looking at the "highlights" above, Ridgers actually made one or two decent saves ... we could have suffered an even heavier defeat. The Pars were like a hot knife through our butter defence.
  13. Highlights from yesterday Dunfermline v ICTFC Dunfermline v ICTFC
  14. Looking for a sugar daddy (or mummy) is not the answer although it might help short term. Very few of these people have bottomless pockets. And even RCFC came unstuck for a while when their benefactor stopped pumping in money a few years back. We seem to be lacking a long term strategy and plan to develop and market our club and instead focus on short term management to pay the football wages. I know football success is bottom line and the purpose of the business is to feed the football club but coaches and players will come and go and the club needs to look at things which will align them with fans and the local community for the long term. I think there is a lot of good will out there and the club would do better spending another player wage on a person equipped to take that sort of development of the business forward. I must admit I was surprised by the number of mercs etc parked up at the club before season started and couldn't help feeling that for a relegated club pleading poverty and making cuts we we're overpaying on the playing side. But then again I generally don't think footballers are worth the inflated wages going around these days. Perhaps both players and us fans need to realise that we are a first division (I mean championship) club based on our current fanbase and focus on grafting and surviving in this division rather than thinking we are a still premier league club who's had a blip.

Andy Smith's sister to turn the whole saga into a novel?
  16. Now I've had a sleep I thought I would try and list the positives from yesterday emm well mmm och forget it
  17. That back 5 need some serious work. Seedorf had a dreadful start and took a while to adjust the pace. When he had adjusted Cardle ripped him some more. Mckay, the worst for me, being the longest server defender out the back 5 (which is a huge problem for any team) should have been the commanding, dominant leader. He was pathetic, poor on the ball, hesitant, the 4th goal it literally was like he was trying to avoid the attacker, even though he was running at our goal. Elsdon. Slow, cumbersome, cant pass, hesitant aswell. Chalmers. Not a football player Ridgers. Has no confidence. If a centre half is not our priority we are in serious trouble. Immediately reinstate Raven and OFW. Seedorf is worth another go but needs to up his game. Bring Calder back into defence (he was anonymous going forward anyway. If no new signings before Morton game I would go with this, which is the best of a bad bunch. OFW Seedorf Raven(c) Elsdon Chalmers

Jeff MacDonald's millions? Urquhart to pull on his boots again? Milroy for manager? Russell Cameron to pump in more from Muirfield Mills?
  19. It very much looks like that. The fact that the Draper fee is not being made available to buy players speaks volumes. Possibly over-extended the finances after the Cup and league success, maybe paying high wages and anticipating an upturn in income which never happened. Not to mention paying off one, maybe two managers, and so on. However, if it were true, the board wouldn't say it in public, because that could reduce the likelihood of future investment in the club, and of new players coming to the club. Would unsettle the current players, and could encourage other clubs to start sniffing around.

Barring individual resignations the only way to change this board is for shareholders to register a vote of no confidence but there is no point if we don't have sufficient votes to get rid. Does a turkey vote for Christmas? Do we have replacements? From my limited knowledge the only guy I would probably keep would be David Cameron but he also has strong connections with Sutherland which imho is a negative. We are in SERIOUS trouble and the sooner these people admit to their incompetence the better. It is their duty to either offer genuine , manageable solutions or do the honourable thing and stand aside.
  21. Blimey this sounds like a terrible result, coupled with my other team losing 0-3 at home to a promoted side and my football weeked is as bad as it gets. Strange how last week we seemed to do pretty well but lost, and also had a couple of decent results in the league cup, but seem to have completely gone to pieces today. It's amazing that the summer before last we couldn't offer a good enough deal to keep Miles Storey (which seemed to be the last straw for Hughes, and yet Storey spends most of the time on the Dons bench) and at the end of last season we were too slow to sign up Alex Fisher...that's two strikers that look like strikers but penny pinching could cost us dear. I wonder if losing Ross Draper during the week also knocked a bit of stuffing out of the team. I presume Warren is injured, because I sort of cling to the idea that Raven, Warren (and eventually Tremarco) would be enough as a backline with Seedorf and Mckay to give us some solidity. However losing Tansey and Draper probably leaves us with a midfield that isn't combative enough. I go back to my comments over a year ago about those glad to see the back of Highes because of the 'tikka takka' style of play and endless possession at the back, and the fact they might rue his departure over the coming year. Unfortunately not only have we lost someone who was able to make us punch above our weight, but the board seems reluctant to invest enough in the playng squad to give us a fighting chance of even staying at this level...for all the comments about ego trips, I don't see much cache in being in control of a team spiralling down the leagues. Given that today we could even put out a full bench of substitutes and this being the start of the season, the board is going to have to dig a bit deeper or we are in for a very long winter
  22. Forget letters to the Chairman and social media - this forum included - I think it's time for a good old fashioned open letter in our local rag. If the club doesn't respond to that then I think many of the loyal fans will walk away.
  23. It's all new at board level and at team level, let's give a bit more time before we hang them out to dry!
  24. where do you suggest given we have so many keepers - perhaps he could try a stint as a midfield enforcer ;-)
  25. I reckon after a while it would have clicked for Foran. No one will ever come close to his love for the region and the club. We seem to be worse off without him. Bring OFW and Raven back into the team (despite what I've said about Raven in the past, he's clearly the better option here) as the longer you keep them out, the more their want to play for the club diminishes.
