  1. Caley Jags Together is the operating name for the ICT Supporters Society Ltd which are registered as an Industrial and Provident Society with the FCA : https://mutuals.fsa.gov.uk/SocietyDetails.aspx?Number=2665&Suffix=RS As per the above page, no Annual Return/Accounts have been filed for year end 2016 and they are about due for 2017. The society did not hold the AGM for their last trading year which was due to be held BEFORE the end of December 2016. As per the information provided by Liz, there's only 5 board members (one of whom is beyond maximum permissible term of office). This means they do not have a quorate/operational board. What all of the above means is that the organisation is currently in abeyance and the ONLY mandate/power given to the Directors, as per society's own rules (whichever set they are operating under)*1, is to take actions to rectify the board situation. They do not have the power/mandate to demand renewals (everyone previously a member remains a member until the society is brought back from abeyance; or is wound up)*2. They do not have the power/mandate to represent the society at any ICTFC shareholder meetings until the society is brought back from abeyance. They do not have the power/mandate to issue any public statements or present themselves as representatives of the society, in any way other than in connection with organisation of the general meeting called in order to bring the organisation back within it's own operating rules/standards. Most importantly, the 108 shares which carry a 10% voting right, ONLY hold that right so long as they are held by the ICT Supporters Society Ltd. If that organisation goes bust, the 10% voting right is gone...forever. If the current board are unwilling/unable to call a general meeting and election in order to rectify the situation, then it falls to the members to protect the society and the voting right held therein. It takes is 5% of members to submit a requisition for a general meeting to bring about change and install a board who will make it a priority to protect the voting right. I'm not up to speed on the exact membership levels, but an exact number and details can be obtained by asking (as is any members right) to view the register of members which is/should be held at the registered address (the stadium). If 700 as mentioned above, it needs 35 members to get the ball rolling on that. *1 A general meeting of the society signed off on a new rule set in 2012, but it does not appear that these were ever successfully registered with the FCA. As a general meeting has already given authority for them to be registered, no further meeting on the matter is required. *2 As there is no annual renewal fee then the process is purely an administrative one designed to keep contact details up to date. Non response does not give the board power to remove membership.
  2. It's a very convincing OFW impression from last season, shame it was against the mob frae Govan though....
  3. I know that Don has made strong criticism of CJT previously. I am not particularly bothered about the history of the organisation but I am concerned about the future. The club is going through a critical rebuilding phase and there is a potential for some close shareholder votes which might shape the future of the club. If CJ T has a 10% voting stake then it is essential that the legitimacy of CJT to use that vote is beyond challenge both from a legal standpoint and in its representation of the fans views. It is clear that currently CJ T fails on both counts. It is therefore essential that the work Liz refers to addresses the points Don makes and we need an early and detailed response to his points to ensure that the functionality of CJT satisfies the legal requirements. Beyond that, we need to ensure CJT has mechanisms in place which actively seek the views of its members. Whether that is done by current CJT Board members or by a new Board will depend on the willingness of others to put their names forward to serve. It is always easy to criticise others, but a lot harder to actually do the work yourself. If supporters want the 10% voting stake retained then it is up to us all to play our part in ensuring that the future CJT Board fulfills its obligations better than it has in the past.
  4. I would concur with every word of this post. I would also immediately say I'm happy to be one of the 35 at any time. Well said Don.
  5. Watched the highlights now and to me Caley looked now the team to win the league and looked great like the way they used to play in matches.

The food was excellent at the ground. Decent wee sausage roll at half time. I'm looking forward to reading @TopSix's food review after he had two pies, two sausage rolls, a bag of crisps, a tea and an orange juice yesterday.
  7. Was nervous about this after the absolute car crash of a performance at East End Park, but in the end it was more comfortable than I could have hoped. There wasn't a great deal in the first half - we probably had slightly more of the ball, but chances were pretty even. Looks like Vigurs got a bit lucky with a deflection for our first, and Mckay wasn't really challenged for his header back across goal for the second. We pretty much controlled the second half, though, and it was good to see the likes of Polworth playing with freedom and confidence. The key to our improvement over the past couple of games seems to have been the introduction of Charlie Trafford. I wasn't up for the Morton game, so this was my first look at him. He seems a very unfussy player and just sits in front of the defence, looking to break up attacks and then hold the ball until he can send someone away, but having him there allows Vigurs to try to dictate play a little further forward and allows Polworth, who looked much improved yesterday, to drive forward. Connor Bell also impressed, playing in a left-sided attacking role for most of the game before moving to the right when Calder game on, and I'd have him starting on one of those sides in place of Mulraney from now on. On the other side, Cooper contributed less, especially in the first half, but his movement and composure for his goal were excellent. I'm still unconvinced by our defence: Raven had a solid game, but Elsdon, Mckay and Chalmers are all capable of looking hasty in the challenge and uncertain in possession. They weren't troubled all that often, but against teams with tricky, pacey attacking players such as Cardle, they will struggle. Having Gary Warren and particularly Carl Tremarco back should make a difference, however, as much for their leadership qualities and presence as their defensive ability. It was great to see another decent travelling support getting right behind the team. The stewarding of the young team looked pretty heavy-handed to me, as if they were expecting trouble from the start. Otherwise, it's a cracking set-up at Brechin, with the wee bar beneath the stand and the ability to move easily between stand and terraces. A bit of a faff to get to from Glasgow if you don't drive, though, so I won't be bothering going up for this Challenge Cup nonsense against Aberdeen colts next week. Looking forward to the rest of September: intriguing fixtures against clubs I have't seen us play for a few years - St Mirren, Livvy, Dumbarton and Queens - and we should have a much clearer idea of how the team is developing and how we match up in this division by the end of the month.
  8. Evening Folks. I have a meeting with Graham Rae next Wed to discuss marketing and commercial ideas that myself and a few others have came up with. We know that things have to change but in order to do that we need more income through the turnstiles and through other routes. If you have any ideas that would like to be pitched please let me know and i will pass them on to Graham.
  9. Sorry guys, much as I want our rivals to fail, what the Govan cheats have done to Scottish football is unforgiveable and I can't support them against anybody...not even County

He took a bite out of the hedge as well.
  11. Plus points - A good win and a clean sheet Vigurs is playing well this season. Polworth had a much improved game. Trafford looks a decent signing - fairly energetic and breaks up and distributes play well. Bell looks a good signing. Robbo seems to have found two systems that really work - 3-4-1-2 and yesterday's 4-3-3. Negatives - Baird works hard but didn't seem to have enough bite to score goals. Cooper works hard and took his goal well but looks too powderpuff to really challenge teams. Wonder if he'd be better in central midfield. Elsdon looks dodgy.
  12. Steady on. An encouraging performance and a few welcome goals against a part time team with a budget about a quarter of our massively reduced one. Nice to get a win and be off the bottom but far far too little evidence as yet to be talking of the side that got tanked at East End Park as possible league winners.
  13. Steady on!! Hope you're right though, given that Brechin have had a draw with Livvy & only narrowly defeated by Dundee Utd, does give grounds for optimism. Big test will be the next game, which is St Midden away, I believe? That'll give us a good indication of where we are. Will hopefully make that one..
  14. This was great to watch....thanks for posting, must say Celtic Park looks rather mundane after seeing how this ground looks! It may only be Brechin, but a win is definitely a win, along with four goals, a clean sheet and the signs of some sort of balance and players finding their feet.....if only I could say that about my other team, following the score during the game yesterday brought welcome relief and my friend sitting next to me was looking pretty bemused when I also exclaimed "blimey Falkirk 4 nil down at home"
  15. Good 2nd half performance after a shaky start. We reverted to a back 4 with Trafford sitting in front. Vigurs played further forward & Polworth was again given a lot of freedom. Connor Bell came in from the left to support Baird when we attacked. The 1st half was scrappy with few chances at either end. Although Brechin didn't create much, they had Elsdon & McKay flustered on a couple of occasions & must've returned from the break thinking they could still take something from the game. How wrong they were. We dominated them completely & should've scored more. Vigurs & Trafford bossed the midfield, repeatedly sending Polworth off to drive into space through the middle. Robbo's got him playing in his best position now, & the centre of midfield looks to have a nice balance. For all that, i'm still a bit worried about the rest of the team.

The crux of the problem us that he is one of the highest paid players in this league but is miles away from bing one the leagues best players.
  17. 1 point
He looked a bit rusty today. Understandable given the lack of first team action he's had. He's still excellent though. To let him go would be a poor move.
  18. Neither do I really, however it can often be useful to gain a sense of perspective by looking at others.
  19. I think what is especially concerning is that instead of picking a team on talent, ability or experience we are picking them based on finances. That is a desperate situation to be in.
  20. As I'm going I'd be happy to take questions or suggestions along on behalf of those too far away if there's no 'official' way of doing so. However if you can make it along, if ONLY for a wee bit please do as it helps to show our solidarity (for want of a better word) as fans. Don't want it to just be the usual faces. Anyway if you do have anything you want raised probably best to PM me here I guess and I'll do my best.
