  1. Some negative comments on here from the odd person/fan. Look on the bright side chums. This could be a cracker of a match. If it is not on the telly then it will be their loss not ours.-- our real fans will be at the game. If we want to go much further in the tourney then we have to beat them somewhere along the line. Look on the bright side.... this is going to be our day and a big win from our team of young lads who are playing well with good ball possession and passing.
  2. All the pundits suggesting tie of round? I fully expect it to be picked for tv tbh

Certainly think playoffs are within our grasp and after that take each game as it comes , add that to knocking County out of the cup and it may turn into a decent season.
  4. That is an assumption that I am a very long way That is an assumption I am a very long way from making. Despite losing the last league match, we have outplayed them three times this season and there is no reason why we can't do so again and with any luck at all, progress to the quarter finals.

Even with them I think promotion is beyond us this season but would love to be proved wrong.
  6. Had a great day out yesterday. Doran was a good pick for MOTM well deserved he played well and could/should have had more. Fair play to Kilbride they kept plugging away even after the game more or less being over after half an hour, their keeper also pulled off some cracking saves. Hopefully we get a decent draw later and can get ourselves into the next round
  7. BUT IF IT WAS THE FRIDAY NIGHT IT WOULD BE FEBRUARY 8TH
  8. The guy behind you was correct, we weren't very good in the second half. The game was one well won by half time.
  9. It might not be the tie we as fans wanted but I'll guess that County fans wanted it even less than us. Having said that, it should generate a lot of interest and that must be good for both clubs.
  10. Tough draw, but of our last 10 away matches in the Scottish Cup, the only one we lost was to Celtic.

Don't think so. Looked overweight and unfit and he is playing for East Kilbride for a reason.
  12. For TV yes but not for Friday night. Premier Sports will gobble up the games involving Rangers and Celtic and one will be on Friday night. BBC will then take another two and our game will very likely be one of those games. I'm expecting either a Saturday lunchtime KO or Sunday PM KO.
  13. Not the tie I wanted to be honest. Would have far preferred an easier team or at least a much bigger team for the cash.
  14. Looking good for Friday night telly
  15. A bigger crowd certainly. Doubt you would get a better crowd than those there yesterday.
  16. That's not good news with Donaldson out as well our two best players this season.
  17. I agree with DD. A strong start made the game safe. It could have been six or seven by half time. White had a great turn and shot that the keeper saved well, whilst several efforts were saved or came close. Possibly inevitably, the second half was subdued with the game won. East Kilbride did have more possession, but rarely threatened and I only recall Ridgers having one save. McCart again the pick of the defence, but Rooney got forward well. In midfield, Chalmers continued being more positive, but Doran was the stand out. Yes, he has lost pace, but his creativity was apparent. White and Oakley both put in a good shift. Given how Ayr fans will be feeling, we did what we needed to do. Pity it was a small crowd, but some noise from the north stand, and a great tribute to young Dawn. I'm hoping we draw County in the last 16....
  18. A very professional job. Good pressure early on to establish a comfortable lead. It could easily have been more if McGinley had not been on such good form in goal for East Kilbride. Oakley was one of the players denied after he had created space for himself to unleash a powerful shot goalwards. This was after a great team move started by terrific work from Rooney deep in our half half when he released the ball from the touchline under pressure from two East Kilbride players. Austin was also denied by McGinley in the 2nd half but only he will know why he didn't hit it earlier with an empty net beckoning. Doran MOTM for me. He was excellent last week as well and seems to be be getting back to something like his best. I sense that his captaincy duties weighed heavily on him and that he feels more relaxed to play his natural game now that Carl is back. Good to see Polworth get back on the score sheet again. We need him scoring a bit more often than he has so far this season so hopefully this will give him the lift he needs.. Also good to see David Proctor back in Inverness and great applause for him from the Inverness fans when he had to be subbed early in the 2nd half. Brilliant to see the whole stadium stand and join in the applause for Dawn in the 16th minute. Credit to all the East Kilbride fans who showed great respect in joining in too. It shows that despite our differences and our rivalries, at the end of the day we are all decent and compassionate folk. All in all, a very good day out.
  19. A good first half where the game was effectively and efficiently won within half an hour. Those who are constantly on Jordan White's back may care to note that he is now on double figures for the season with almost half of it still to go. We did ease off and become a bit sloppy in the second half but I didn't mind that too much. We certainly gave Aberdeen a lesson on how to clinically dispose of opposition two or more tiers below.
  20. Get Alan Simpson down early to blow some of his hot air on the pitch and the game will be on.
  21. The sort of complacency that saw both Thistle and Caley take many a league scalp when we were in the Highland League. A cup run would be a great boost to the fans, the players and, perhaps most importantly, the coffers. We are in no position to take anyone for granted.
  22. Saw on line he is in talks with a club. We have brought this on ourselves. Fans near me are on his back for everything and miss the vision he has. Not sure if it is a pre contract or whether they want him now. Either way, we will be poorer without him but I wish him well. His goal and celebration in Dingwall when we won 3-0 springs to mind. I really hope the fans support our local youngsters as they break through. Otherwise the lure of other clubs will overshadow us.
  23. First two teams drawn out: we are off to Dingwall again!
  24. We won with ease, scored four goals and with a bit of good fortune, could have doubled that, we kept a clean sheet. Is it really time to publicly criticise any of our own players ?
