A Caley/Thistle or ICT connection is irrelevant IMHO. Business acumen and the ability to find, develop and maintain meaningful relationships that generate revenue or further the reach of ICT is far more important. I actually question whether this position is required or not. A club of our meagre resources may not be able to sustain that expense. Depending on which former chairman you speak with, it is seen as either a good idea or it is something that can be done by some combination of sales staff and directors thereby saving a significant yearly salary. I have no idea how she performed on a day to day basis as my only dealings with Ms Crook were on email - when she chose to respond - and based on those interactions I personally do not have a positive opinion on her presence at the club. These were not fan or CTO communications, they were business related ones, and to ignore people who are not only service providers but also sponsors, customers and shareholders is bad business.
  2. I want the game played at Hampden. we don't get to go there very often and some of our best memories come from there. There could be 500 fans or 50,000 fans there and it wouldn't matte r to me as long as i was there.

I believe she was a great advocate of social media for increased profile of the club and engagement of sponsors and fans. i shall leave you to judge whether that was effective.

Obviously begs the question " did she go or was she pushed"? I may be being unfair to her but I'm not sure what impact she made to the efficient running of the club in her short tenure. Perhaps those closer to the action could answer that.

McDiarmid!? Horrible place. If the semi gets moved there I won't be booking a flight over from France especially for it. Hampden isn't the best stadium but for me it has a special feel, especially after our cup win.

Hampden for me. Doesn't matter the size of any club that makes it they deserve the big day out. Sure hampden isn't the best stadium in world or country for that matter but it's all about the journey to get there and it's a big day out for fans. Just because it might be more empty than full isn't a good enough excuse to move it for me. They don't kick up much of a fuss about queens park playing in it everyone week in front of a handful of people
  8. Reported on Radio Scotland this morning that Robbo has said that a smaller venue than Hampden would be better for our semifinal as it would create a better atmosphere.

Unless you sign off with CFC or RFC you won't get one

Being selfish about it, Glasgow (or even Edinburgh) would suit me best from a travel (flights) point of view. But I can see the argument for a smaller stadium from a crowd/atmosphere point of view. I just wish they would get it sorted so that I, and all the others, who will be flying, can get their travel and accommodation in place asap. Time is money, especially where flights are concerned. I've seen a difference already, for both 13 and 14 Apr, since I started looking at potential flights immediately following our win at Tannadice a few days ago.
  12. Realistically it makes sense to have it at a smaller venue ,but speaking to fans they relish the thought of going to Hampden .It may just be the deciding factor for some as its on Tele. It would never be at a venue to suit ICT in any case . Hampden here we come !!!
  13. I agree as I don't see the jambos taking 25000 to Hampden for a semi final against us. Be lucky if there is 15000 including our own support inside a 50000 seater. Makes sense they need to move it. Pittodrie Maybe?

The rules of the competition include this: "10.3 The venues and all other arrangements for the Semi-Final Matches and the Final Match shall be determined by the Board [of the SFA]. " However, the Hampden Park website is listing both semis. So that's hopeful, but don't take it as definite. https://www.hampdenpark.co.uk/events/upcoming/ It's someone else's turn to email the SFA today - [email protected] .

It’s the SFA. I half expect them to reveal a clause forcing any semi final between two teams with the word “Thistle” in their name to be played in Pyongyang. Seriously, though, after the league cup semi fiasco this year, I’d be surprised if it wasn’t at Hampden, but who knows what the SFA might do in their “wisdom”.
  16. Waiting for someone to call them gloryhunters ???

Hold your horses. Are you telling me, that there's an (albeit slight) chance that we aren't going to be at Hampden for the Semis? That's definitely one way to kill the celebration buzz, we want to play at Hampden, not Easter Road or wherever.
  18. Can’t wait for this coming up with hopefully a few lads that have never been to a game in Scotland. They are both Ipswich Town fans so could do with some cheering up ?

It would be even funnier if we played the semi at tannadice just to rub it Into Neilson and McMullen.

Harsh that he misses such a big game considering it was related to complaining about what was after all a clear case of cheating by diving in the penalty box.

If we get Celtic in the final would it be bad taste to have a "Josh Meekings was innocent" banner made up? Asking for a friend...... ?

I can smell the final best draw possible.
  27. I have always liked the idea of the killie trust. https://killietrust.killiefc.com/ Its been very sucessful in raising much meeded funds for the club while geting a fans representative on their board.
  28. Can we not hang it in the North Stand at one of the sides like below... Few clubs in scotland/england do it Falkirk Hearts Bournemouth

You will still be waiting this time next week.
  30. A moth eaten rag on a worm eaten pole. It doesn't seem likely to stir a man's soul. Tis the deeds that were done neath that moth eaten rag When the pole was a staff and the rag was the flag!
