  1. I didn't think White was all that bad on Saturday. He still frustrates me by going down a but too easily for my liking and I feel he should do better with some of the aerial tussles he gets into. He's much better when he is attacking crosses than when he has been played with his back to goal. He finished McGregor's fine cross with a solid header and was unlucky not to get a second later on. If we perhaps got a few more crosses in for the guy to attack rather than lump it up in the general vicinity of the guy he might be a bit more successful.
  2. All about opinions Alan but if money was offered then obviously other clubs see something in the bigman too, and not just Robbo. Suppose its his consistency of scoring goals at every club he has been at over past few years that brings the attention. He has scored 20 goals for us and imo is the best striker at the club atm. He certainly divides opinion that we can all agree on?

Ask to fly a club flag also would you please ,no idea where that went either.
  6. One thing I noticed during the game yesterday was how the Partick captain rallied his teammates and drive them on following our equaliser. Not everyone believes that a captain needs to be screaming at everyone all the time, but I feel that we are lacking a natural leader on the pitch.
  7. Everyone is allowed an off day and while I know you're not suggesting that the club change the captain on the back of Saturday, I do think it's a common misconception that your captain always has to be vocal and shouting instructions at players. Knowing how much of a professional Carl is he'll be his harshest critic. It's not just what you see on the pitch either: it's about what happens in the dressing room and on the training field; it's about how the individual projects themselves both on and off the pitch; it's about how they represent the club in a wider vain and not just on the pitch. Their ability to pass lessons onto younger players, interact with the backroom team, handle press conferences and the media after games, the list is endless. If Carl is not the type of player that barks orders at people then that particular role should be passed onto the vice-captain, someone who has different leadership abilities but compliments Carl. On the whole I believe every player has to take responsibility for their own actions and display while in the team and ultimately everyone is different, not everyone is a natural leader nor feel comfortable being vocal towards others. Also others don;t take too kindly to being barked at all the time.

  10. PT were the epitome of a team that downed tools for the last manager. They are a play-off team and the league position was false, they showed this on Sat. We made some individual errors but PT were much more clinical up front. There were a few below par performances on our side particularly down the left where both Tremarco & Doran had shockers and Vincent was out of position too often and provided little in the middle of the park. A wake up call for our team I hope. I fully expect PT to be up there with us & Dundee fighting for the playoff spots.
  11. It is correct trust me a man with inside knowledge aye Robbo must see something in him I'd give Todorov a start over the big man White missing to many chance for me
  12. It is not rocket science Robbo should give Todorov a chance to prove himself his goals v gametime is far better than Jordan some of Jordan's misses is quite embarrassing!
  13. Sean Welsh - maybe getting on a bit now but he is the main man in the middle for us Jamie Mccart - Maybe too young but from the games I've seen he controls the back line and isn't afraid to shout at someone for making a mistake
  14. I'd replace him with Aaron. Carl, I feel, has past his prime, and is simply there to provide experience and to teach the youngsters the tricks he's learned over the years. No disrespect to Carl, love the man, but I feel he's either leaving the club or hanging up his boots at the end of the season. Can see him moving on to coaching afterwards, he has gone and done a thing with "The Other Foot" or whatever it's called, so he's either back off down to England or player/managing in the Highland League...

My sincere good wishes to Hugh. I’ve known him for yonks from the days of Caley and CH Webster’s. Always a true gentleman, a true football fan and just a lovely man to speak footie with. X

https://ictfc.com/proud-ness-and-inverness-caledonian-thistle-fc-announce-partnership I see from this article that the original plan was to have it flying for the weekend of the Proud Ness march, but given that homophobic language remains prevalent in football grounds and gay footballers remain unable to be open about their sexuality, I think there is good case for keeping it there. I'll be writing to the club to put forward my point of view and will include the very important point made by IBM above.
