  1. If you are happy with our utterly ABYSMAL league cup campaign then you must be easy to please because it was a complete JOKE of a campaign and imho totally unacceptable, to only win ONE f***ing match (amd even that was unconvincing) in a group that had Dumbarton and Bonnyrigg in it is failure of the highest standard, I accept losing to Dundee as they are a league above, and Airdrie because their now in our league and may surprise a few teams. What I am livid at though and will not tolerate is losing to a LEAGUE 2 team, no disrespect to them but I expect us to beat them even if it is a nervy win so I'm afraid that, ONCE AGAIN, Mr Dudds needs to take responsibility for this and stop coming up with crap excuses that us fans don't accept! I'm sorry if I have upset people but I expect better from the team and am not afraid to tell it as it is!

  2. I thought overall that was a good performance. The fact that Dundee couldn’t get the two goals they needed and exited the cup themselves was some evidence. You would also like to think we have a bit more to produce yet all things considered. Samuels is getting into the right positions and if he just takes a bit more care with final strike hopefully will start scoring. Saturday against Queens would be a good time for him to demonstrate scoring ability. Let’s get right behind them all come Saturday and get the season rolling by rolling over Queens

  3. There are certainly things for us to be very concerned about and this will undoubtedly be a tough season, but the way some fans have been wetting their knickers and reaching dramatic conclusions from the results achieved by understrength and experimental teams in our pre-season phase…

  5. I thought Longstaff looked pretty lively when he came on. Put a couple decent crosses into the box. Lodovica did alright as well. Wasn't sure about him after seeing him in the friendlies but he could become a useful option.

  7. The compilation video is quite some piece of collating for whoever put it all together. It is quite interesting to see how many headers Billy has scored. A great achievement. Ross County were not expecting his volley. Looked fantastic from behind the goal.

  9. I can't stand these optimists. Mid table finish. Lots of moaning thrown in to the bargain. Might lose the odd game or five, somebody might get injured, but really he will have fallen out with the tea lady who picks the team every second week.Grind out some results here and there , promising mid season surge, stutter then fade out at the end. Bit more moaning. Roll up. Roll up, here we go again!!

  15. League Cup Over & Out With Dundee winning only 1-0, that was no use to either club and they both leave the League Cup at the end of the group stages. Zach Robinson's 60th minute header was not enough to put Dundee ahead of Raith Rovers to claim a slot in the draw as one of the three best of the rest. For Inverness, we meddled with our starting XI and Harry Lodovica made an appearance in the second half. Danny Devine, Sean Welsh, Roddy MacGregor, Charlie Gilmour and Adam Brooks were nowhere to be seen, hopefully being prepared for the start of the Championship next week. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Official report from ICTFC ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Inverness gave as good as they got in this encounter but went down to a second half goal from Zach Robinson. Mark Ridgers made an early save from Pineda who flicked the ball forward from inside the six yard box but the keeper produced a brilliant reflex save to deny the Mexican and tip the ball over the bar for a corner. Billy Mckay had a close range shot tipped over by Jon McCracken in the Dundee goal and Nathan Shaw curled an effort inches wide after good work by Keith Bray. Austin Samuels lashed a shot over after a cut-back from Billy Mckay five minutes before the break as the visitors saw the better of the first half. After the break a Mckay shot rolled just wide when he got the break of the ball through on goal. Mark Ridgers was called into action as he made a good save to keep out sub Amadou Bakayoko's powerful effort after an initial mix-up in the Inverness defence. Robinson's goal, despite Ridgers' effort to claw the ball away on the hour, meant Dundee needed one more for pole position to qualify. It never came despite them upping their game with Bakayoko and McGhee going close for the hosts. McCracken saved a low effort from Samuels with ten minutes left. A frantic ending saw both sides flash the ball goalwards but the score remained at 1-0 to Dundee at full time. A decent workout and if we don't have fresh injuries, I presume we rested some players ahead of the start of the real season. Gilmour was suspended. 21. Billy Mckay is a man who understands, and has consistently delivered, for The Caley. I am willing to look past him being briefly seduced by Tory Roy to call him a true club legend. The fact that our ******** CEO was messing him around over a contract in the summer speaks volumes. I hope he outlasts those in charge and continues to score when he wants for a long time to come.

  23. I reckon I will score before Austin Samuels this year, and at 60 I'm looking forward to it in one of those lovely orange tops . Poor Austin just looks clueless to be honest. We'll play better and still lose, we'll play worse and win. We won't win the league.

    • Montrose 0-0 Inverness CT - Play Off 1st Leg
      FULL TIME: 0-0

All to play for on Saturday, but don't hold your breath...

However, if we continue like this, it will be our final game this season.

Best performer for us was Samson Lawal, the only bright spark on the field.

Alloa 2-2 Hamilton was the other semi-final score tonight. On this evidence, I doubt either side will be quaking in their boots.

    • Inverness CT 3-1 Morton - Report
It was a lovely evening for a game of football, what could possibly go wrong? Well, what did go wrong was Queen's Park beat an understrength Airdrie 2-0 at Hampden, therefore despite beating Morton 3-1, Inverness head for the play-offs. Morgan Boyes opened the scoring with a thumping volley after half an hour. Kirk Broadfoot benefited from slack defending to level before the break then proceeded to earn the wrath of the home support with an embarrassing celebration in front of the North Stand. Cammy Harper relieved Billy Mckay of penalty kick duties and duly slotted home from the spot ten minutes after the break. The scoring was completed just after the hour when Sean McAllister drilled home into the bottom corner. Robbie Muirhead had been sent off for simulation then taking a wee fit to himself and was promptly sent off after 58 minutes just after Harper had knocked in his penalty kick, probably aggrieved that he never earned a spot kick for his dramatic dive.

Well, where do you start. It was clear from the begining of the season that something was wrong. Poor signings, dismal performances in the League Cup followed by an abysmal start to the League campaign saw Billy Dodds removed from his position after winning one point in the first six Championship fixtures and replaced by a man with no track record as a manager. A sort of publicity stunt if you like. After the initial new manager bounce wore off, we found ourselves little better off with Big Dunc than we were with wee Billy. We did claw ourselves up to the coat tails of others but the most damning part of our season has been our inability to score goals, especially at home. Only already relegated Arbroath are worse than us. Our team is now full of mercenaries, loan players with no affiliation to our Highland pedigree and many fans have tagged us as being the worst squad ever in our short history. Where are the Golabeck's, Tokeley's, Wilson's..... Much of this can be attributed to our lack of financial nous in the boardroom, failed ventures and now the begging bowls are being put in place to save our club. Having drawn at Dunfermline last week thanks to Aribim Pepple's first goal for the club combined with Billy Mckay's penalty miss, it's now out of our own hands. LAST SIX: D L  W W L  D

    • Dunfermline 1-1 Inverness CT - Report
Out of our hands now: It ended in disappointment for the 319 visiting fans with news that Queens Park had hammered Arbroath 0-5. To rub salt into the wounds, Sheridan and Welsh were amongst the scorers. It's out of our hands now, but it's a must win next Friday and hope Queens Park falter.  Inverness play Morton and Queens play Airdrie. A draw might be enough, but it's a long shot.

I'm not convinced that Billy Mckay was the right man to be taking that penalty, his second failure from the spot in successive games against the Pars.

    • Dunfermline Ath -V- Inverness CT - Preview
Aaron Doran looks likely to have pulled on the Caley Jags strip for the last time after limping off against Raith Rovers last Friday. Sean McAllister returning was a bonus though but the mystery deepens as to why Roddy MacGregor, Austin Samuels and Nikola Ujdur are not featuring either on the injury list or the team list. Baffling to be honest as Roddy has the midfield attributes required, Austin has the speed and potential and Nikola in my opinion, if fit, would be my first choice on the team sheet. Are these guys on the way out? Add to that seven or eight loan players, then next season will see a massive restructure and rebuild at the Caledonian Stadium. I imagine the board members are squirming in their seats like Angela van den Bogerd at a Post Office inquiry.
