MK Dons may have just three first-team regulars available, with the rest out through injury or suspension, so coach Alex Rae, 40, could start in midfield.

Mathias Doumbe, David McCracken and Peter Leven are all suspended after red cards against Leeds.

MK Dons assistant manager Karl Robinson told BBC Three Counties Radio:

"We have got to have a real good go at them (Brighton) and not be fearful of them regardless of the team we put out.

"I have got three fit players that played on Saturday. It is an unbelievable set of circumstances.

"It is a great opportunity to give the kids a chance in a competitive game. We have got to make sure we go out and give a good account of ourselves."
