Richard Hastings

I see he's without a club at present. Considering our injury problems and shortages at the back would anyone consider having him back again.

Personally i say no.

Think he's in the middle of moving back to Canada though

I think he still has a few years in him, but alas i dont think they will be with us.

Maybe a few years ago i would have said yes to the OP.

He's not even worth a short term deal as emergency cover if he hasn't had a pre-season or been in full time training since then. In fact his last game for Hamilton seems to have been in January.

So it's a no from me too, I think his 2 spells with us were more than enough.

He has moved back to Canada now. Heard from a guy know who is his neighbour.

It's a no from me. Think we should be giving Shinnie a good run to aid his development anyway.

Right back is far more of a problem for us just now than the left

Do we need a fifth choice left back?

Gillet

Shinnie

Golabek

McBain

Hastings

I think not.

Agreed, id say right-back was more in an emergency. Cant wait for McCann to come back. Hopefully in the next few weeks after the international break we see some faces back.

I didnt want Hastings back even when he was playing here...

That's what I meant to say Caley100. Never rated him at all. It still makes me shudder when I think about the way he got skinned by Chris Burke numerous times.

i seen him in tesco last week , and also seen him in town about a month ago , so he must have still been living up here for a whilst

did we ever try him at cb??? im sure scotty has quite frequently sung his praises on international duty at centre back but cant recall us ever playing him there...might be worth cover for if innes is suspended/injured

could possibly play in centre back so if we got him could add something there being an experienced player and given how short numbered we are there but wouldnt see him playing alot of games unfortunatly he is well past it

Quite happy to see us giving the younger lads a chance and it would even better if more people gave a little appreciation to the contribution they are making instead of looking at, what is no more than mediocre (at best), past players.

Agree

He did a very good job in central defence for Canada for quite a few games in the last year or two but that ship has also sailed as he didnt get into the last Canadian squad and I doubt he will get into the next one as a CB if Adrian Cann & Nana Attakora (Toronto FC) continue to play the way they have been in MLS.

Nurse !!!

Nurse !!!

Feck me - this is an emergency - feckin tranquillisers required for a few - has the Ancient Mariner finally cracked. And some Valium fer Caley 100 for the PTSD factor.

He has moved back to Canada now. Heard from a guy know who is his neighbour.

He has finally listened to what the ICT support had been telling him for years! Where's Oats when you need him. :canada:

Im Right here !!

that comment will forever haunt me

We certainly did during his first spell at the club. In fact I think that's where he played on Feb 8th 2000, and he was excellent that night.

He also had a spell there towards the end of season 07/08 when Munro got injured. Hastings played the last four or five games at CB while McBain moved to LB IIRC. He was okay at best there.
