Well that was difficult.  No place for Curtis Allen (who I presume is injured or something), Liam Polworth, Ryan Christie, Joe Goran, Adam Evans, Calum Ferguson, Matthew Cooper or Torbjorn Adgestein.  Foran is up top but is more the creator of the two, often coming deeper.  Evidently, a lot more strength in depth this year.

I want Brill in goal as Esson IMO isn't great anymore, but I no TB won't play him. Undecided on Williams and Greenhalgh but I reckon it'll be Williams. I think it's gonna be a really good team performance on Saturday so I'm counting on Draper and Vincent to control that midfield and TB to get the team playing some nice football!

I don't know about anyone else, but seeing that teamsheet fills me with great anticipation for the season.

A solid bunch of regulars with some impressive new signings.

I'll stick to my previous season's expectation of decent, entertaining football, and so long as we finish above them over the bridge I dont care.

I like the look of Renegades XI, but with Williams instead of Watkins (who, with relatively little matches under his belt, will not be risked by Tel imo).  Also, I'd have had Polworth (who had a decent game at Charlton) on the bench instead of Greenhalgh in any case, but assuming Watkins doesn't play, then Greenhalgh will get a sub spot.

He's that important a player. The attacking midfielder role was meant to be Draper

Very strange that all of you guys have Liam Polworth dropped completely, bar BA who has him on bench :O.

 

I reckon he's deserving of a starting spot, thoughts guys?

Would put Wakins on the bench for Greenhalgh if he is fit enough to play. 

Dont know enough of the new guys to say who will play, but I think we keep our back four from last year. Foran should be in the centre mid role along with Draper, play 2 wingers then Doran in just behind McKay as creator.

How could anyone have Pepper instead of Polworth

I hope to see an attacking 4 of Doran, Mackay, Agdestein and Evans, simply so that we can have our very own ABBA (Aaron, Billy, Bjorn and Adam).

From what i've seen and heard from pre-season games then i'd go for:

(on the assumption that Esson, Watkins and Allen are still not full recovered from injuries)

Brill will 100% start. I can guarantee that.

My selection, much as Wyness states but would not play Foran as he tends to put a dampner on the fluidity of the teams passing game.

Bench Ross to give Williams a chance, bring the Viking on at some stage to change the shape to two up front and definitely play Brill in goal.

The traditionalist in me says go for a starting XI of;

Although I would like to see this at some point in the season, I don't think it will happen on Saturday. 

Whenever Foran was missing for us last season we struggled.  I'd have him start if fit, I believe he brings more to the team than we credit him for.

Yes we do, he's our club captain and hes a big player for us except he spends most his Saturday nights sitting under cars :O
