because D&E probably can only give us 10. Not forgetting that Aberdeen fans will have supporters buses from Inverness too. If we had to get more buses then we'd have to hire from lower in Scotland which would be costly.

There will be other buses going run by pubs etc. As ICTRoughi states available buses hard to source and some at inflated prices due to increased demand.

when county got to the final didn't they hire buses from stagecoach?

Any news on supporters train being put on?

Thomas you clearly don't know what a big job organising buses is?

we hope to make an announcement abot trains in the very near future

Also SPA coaches and Graham Urquhart coaches not just d & e coaches in the north

I don't entertain this lack of buses rubbish, if the demand is there buses from all around Scotland can be called on if needed

Any smaller club that reaches a final would have to go to more than one bus company and would have to look a lot further than their local outfit

Funny how Inverness Reds have managed to source a number of buses going by their website

Dougal you have just blotted your copybook again, just when I thought you were beginning to see the light, tut  tut

Buses are always available at a price tbh. Are folk willing to pay megabucks tho? Also has to be someone in charge not as easy as just booking a bus.

Did have someone tell me his pub trying to get a bus and can't?

I don't know anything about the organising of buses I was just wondering why they couldn't hire some from another bus company.

thomas23 why would you know anything about booking buses

Perfectly reasonable question to ask

For info there are still seats left on said 10 buses. Please see travel thread for contact details of how to book.

Im hoping to get the train.

Here if that's a problem for u organise wan Urself and show a bit more respect for those who go through the great hardship of organising a bus

Don't park your car in Morrison's car park without a ticket

I know, you wouldnt want to be taken to the small claims court, not worth the hassle.

But it's nearly two miles from McDiarmid Park!  Anyway, it's a different game - they don't have gates, and they can FRO.

our supporters branch (hibs, in east end of Edinburgh) have had 4 buses to each final, in the last 2 years. we had to source them from Renfrew, to get decent prices. the fact that we wanted 4, as apposed to 1, gave us a bargaining point to keep the prices decent. if a couple of your branches/supporters groups club together, I'm sure bus companies north and a little bit south of you would give a decent price, if you book several from them.. others do try and rip people off though.

do be very aware that the polis in Strathclyde dinnae take kindly to any drink on the buses, and they seem to take great pleasure from stopping buses for a random check. we are always pulled in at harthill, but you guys may come into Glasgow from a different route,
