Have just read the tomorrows courier and it seems the local press are finally brave enough to print what the fans have been saying for months.

Would you care to expand on that brief titbit?

I live in Edinburgh for a few months now and haven't seen Courier for ages! But I know what their like! What are they saying in tomorrows article say? I am very intrigued to see what they think and what their view is on what we think!

They have printed 3 posts from the forum, from Caley D, dead ball specialist and MissICT all of which are expressing the fans desperation.

There is also a large article about the supporters club and how they are facing a potential crisis as they cant get enough people to come to away games. It also mentions us having the worst home record in the league. Ali Williamson the spokesman for the supporters club is quoted as saying "The fans are not happy, the home form speaks for itself and we are so frustrated. A lot of fans think Brewster's tactics are terrible and that he will eventually pay the price"

Brewster said he was happy with Duff's performance at right back, He is also quoted as saying " The people in the crowd can make their own decisions, I am the manager and i've got to make the decisions for what I see best, but at the end of the day its the players on the park who are key."

Finally the press are starting to take notice though, does the board read the courier? Would the board care that there is actual printed statements about how we feel the club are going down hill?

There has also been a huge silence from the new chairman about our club, his media presence is about zero, seems to me he could be doing more to rally the troops/fans etc in this hour of need.

It's frustrating that journalists and reporters seldom give managers a hard time when they deserve it. They might ask a question like "Are you disappointed with that performance?" and then accept the answer and move on, rather than asking probing questions about specific tactical errors, the stuff the fans want to get explanations for.

I understand that the journo's main aim is to maintain a good relationship with the manager/club so that they get access and info in future, but at times like this fans want answers and need the right questions to be asked.

The local press need to be a lot more objective in their reporting rather than simply reporting the club line on issues.

The last time the local press dared to criticise ICT they faced a blackout on news from the club and a total ban from the stadium. Whilst I don't see that as any excuse for their toothless reporting on the current issues, I can understand why they might be treading carefully.

You're correct! Too many local "reporters" don't want to make waves and are happy to live in their comfort bubbles. By including posts from this website, they are, in effect, getting others to do/say what they haven't got the balls to. Any good journo requires to be objective.

I have some sympathy for the Journos ..... If you are in an area like the central belt then rocking the boat with a team of our size is inconsequential ... you have plenty of other teams to go and write about and you can always dredge up a story about one of the OF or Hearts to fill the back pages.

Inverness is different .... you get "blocked" by ICT and there isnt much in the way of alternatives to fill up several pages of sport ... you could make a stand and print more about County or other sports, but the readers would soon be moaning.

What the journalists seem to fail to appreciate is that the club needs them and the publicity they generate every bit as much as they need the club as a source of copy. They can afford to be just a bit more critical.

If observations are honest then I feel journalists are well within their rights and in my opinion this would be appreciated by most of the readership who are no fools. Any "blocking" of news from the I.C.T camp would be temporary as you've correctly pointed out I.C.T needs local coverage. Circulation figures wouldn't really be affected by a temporary block as football fans also buy The Courier/ Highland News for a number of reasons. My mum loves football but couldn't live without it as she's always keen to see the births,marriages and deaths!

The highland news is the paper to buy if you want 20 pages of motoring news though, sports news, maybe not.

True, but these were not for Rooney coming on, but for the extraction of Imrie whilst Barrowload stayed on.

I thought it was fairly obvious that Imrie was underachieving last Saturday and the intention was to go 4-4-2 which was why Barrowman was left on. No need to boo a positive approach by the then manager.

Again, essentially saying, hey look, eh, a pick the team right, but, eh , eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, its aw the, eh players fault.
