  1. NO - Sorry Alex - it is a lot more than that - CaleyAway just grows and grows - we practically are "brothers" - that is where the "feeling" and the "togetherness" eminates from - and it spills on to the pitch. And there are more and more yoof, leading the choir, aand increasing game by game. We are feckin enjoying ourselves. PLAYED: SIX ; WON: FOUR ; DRAWN: TWO ; LOST FECK ALL ; FOR: A FECKIN DOZEN ; LOST: FIVE CALEYAWAYWITHTERRYANDMO

  2. Support Celtic then Dornoch caley or whatever your name is. I'm sad to say you're a bit deluded if you buy that "slogan" they had on those banners. They don't have a clue. But to them, it's a good way to try to wind up the other half of the ugly sisters. I'm surprised you came out in favour of this vile mince - you usually think things through. I'm disappointed in you. Very disappointed.

  4. A nice big GIRUY you Maguire after his pathetic antics in front of the away support. When he's not fighting in Tiger Tiger he's being a complete ned on the football pitch. It was fantastic to watch him go steaming in on Stuart Duff obviously looking to hammer him at the corner only for Duff to turn back inside him and let "Bebo" go skidding off the pitch. Even beter was Duffs face as he had a wee laugh to himself as he brought the ball out of defence. Excellent stuff.

  5. Neither team played great football tonight and I think the win was a result of us wanting it more and battling on regardless of the fact we just couldn't make things click and get a proper performance going. It's that attitude we've (re)developed under Butcher that has us where we are and long may it continue. Esson has already received just praise for his performance and I think he may be using glue on the palms of his gloves given some of the saves he manges to hold....the one in the second half where the ball was played low across the 6 yard box with a fair pace and he caught it at full stretch with one hand was tremendous. I'm also wondering if Odhiambo has been taking flying lessons. He wasn't on the park for long but that goalmouth scramble where he seemed to appear from nowhere to steal the ball off the toe as the shot was being unleashed was fairly spectacular. Shinnie was given another thorough testing this evening and whilst he may still have a lot to learn he never once let the head go down....a very mature performance in that regard and one that will stand him in good stead as he continues to progress. Mackie looked to have taken a sore one in the collision with Esson, hope it's nothing too serious.

  6. Well I thought that, that was a good performance tonight. A well deserved 3 points. Let's not forget that this is basically the same side that was a distance of the top in the FIRST DIVISION a mere year ago. It really is amazing that we keep coming up with away results like this time and time again. We have ourselves one very strong team. Well done, yet again, to the team and management !

  8. Dornoch Caley, the wearing of poppies is in support of those who are prepared to sacrifice their lives in whatever cause our Government deems to be appropriate. In many ways the poppies are even more appropriate for soldiers who have lost their lives in some of the more recent conflicts because some of those who lost their lives probably did not support the wars themselves. They showed support for their country by doing what their democratically elected Government felt appropriate and put their duty to their country ahead of their own views. It is those who we remember by wearing the poppies who you can thank for giving you the freedom to fire off such an aggressive tirade. You may not agree with others in this thread but that is no reason to be so insulting to those who happen to hold a different point of view. Can I suggest an anger management course or maybe you should join the army? Have a red poppy.

  9. I agree with some of what you're saying, but there's some truth in the cliche that teams make their own luck. Rooney did make a few bad decisions last night, but he also worked his backside off again, and his ability to hold the ball up helps us to defend from the front. It would be worth TB having a word with him to make sure he isn't too selfish when he has better options available, but I wouldn't drop him. Same applies to Foran: he might not be at his best just now, but his experience and intelligence on the park are important parts of the team's success just now, imo, and he adds the option of us being able to play high balls to the back post at set pieces for him to knock down for the strikers. Like you, I'd have Duncan and Gillet in my first-choice line-up, despite Shinnie having done pretty well since he's come in, but I'm not sure either will be fit for Saturday

  10. It's harsh to blame captaincy for any bad perfomances from Munro... after all he was excellent all last season when he was captain. Infact, that goal at QoS was what you would expect from a captain and almost sealed our promotion. Munro has played poorly when he's had a bad defensive partner (Bulivtis, McGuire etc.) When you stick a tall, ball winning, centre half beside him (Dods, Pavels and now Tokely) then you see the best of him, as we are now. I think 1 thing that's been notable this season is how well he is passing the ball from defence, possibly something him and Tel have been working on. Keep the chant suggestions coming pls

  11. I have to say I thought the support last night was fantastic. For a freezing cold midweek game, I was really impressed with both the numbers and the noise. Some excellent chants on the go too. Well done to everyone who made the journey and the atmosphere. What a legend Terry Butcher is as he showed his appreciation at the end of the game, I think he enjoyed himself.

  15. Biased against Celtic? Of course I am - I support a provincial club. But just like the other half of the Old Firm, I support them in Europe. My real bias is against bigotry though. Celtic and Rangers support epitomise that but I also detest the homophobia other fans would shovel upon Brewster when he was our manager and cringe now that some of our fans do it. I also came on to defend Celtic a little. It appears that poppies were on sale at Parkhead. It's been stated that Celtic will wear a poppy representation on their jersey. Celtic have also said they will ban those that brought in that disgraceful banner (I suspect that might be nigh on impossible but appreciate the gesture). I know where the proceeds go to but I've never felt Remembrance Day was just geared towards either the British or soldiers/combatants. For me, it's about the loss of innocent lives in regards to the futility of war. Be that a Japanese child, a Rhodesian farm-help or a German wife. Oh yeah, or a Catholic family in Northern Ireland. In fact, if there was one song to sum up Remembrance Day and all that the poppy means, it certainly wouldn't be Land of Hope & Glory. It would be this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFXWVWNKDx8 As the person who uploaded the video said: "In memory of those on all sides, who gave up there lives in the Great War,the war to end all wars...... you will NEVER be forgotton They had no idea of the evil behind the ruling bloodlines, who sent them to be slaughtered like cattle. WAKE UP HUMANITY AND STOP FIGHTING AND DYING FOR THESE COWARDLY SCUM" Same message to those that died in Iraq, Northern Ireland and the Falklands "on all sides". That's what the poppy means to me.

  17. Contrary to what some may think I believe, no matter the result, McGhee will not be sacked. He may walk of his own choice though. Aberdeen have not the money to pay him off and likely have to compensate another team for a replacement. Like many other builders Stewart Milne is feeling the pinch. The club have not been able to buy in players of the expected calibre for a few seasons now and what they have is no better than most of the other teams in the league. I also hear on the grapevine that some of the players brought in were on the say so of Willie Miller and are not really McGhee's choice. A lot of Dons fans I've spoken to believe Miller to be the problem at Aberdeen. It was he who got shot of, probably, the best goal keeping coach in the country. But I digress. I believe we will win tonight. They have not gelled as a team and they cant maintain their discipline. We go out and play as well as we have in recent games and the away record will be protected.

  18. Is it fair to single out a player when he is part of a team? TBH I'm more than happy with the way the team are playing and don't think talking about how comitted individual players are is productive.

  19. I would prefer the original poster to state his point when he posts drivel such as that was. I too can have a laugh at my accent but the original post was inflammatory and not celebratory as suggested by the OP.

  20. I am so sorry Charles, I must have misunderstood your first post. I must sign up for some ESP classes. In future, for the benefit of the scholistically challenged posters such as myself, would you please refrain from writing in riddles. It's all in the context, your post on it's own was derogatory all that was missing was a reference to the fenders on a Volvo. The poem to which you refer may have been entertaining but to me your post was just inflammatory.

  21. Some players flourish in the role of captain - Bobby Mann, Darren Dods, Stuart Golabek to name but three - but others seem to find it a bit of a millstone round their necks and I think Grant falls into this category. As captain, his performances seemed to dip and we dont really know why. Was it pressures on the field of having to concentrate on everyone's role rather than just his own, or was it the combination of on-field and off-field responsibilities. Only Grant, the players, and the management team will really know. However, without the captains armband he has been reborn. He can concentrate on his own task on the pitch and because of that he is now getting back to being the Granty we all know and enjoy. With or without the captains armband he is definitely an ICT legend ... and there are not many clubs who have multiple 'legends' in their team each week !!!!!

  22. Please do NOT attribute statements to <sources> which you have not confirmed directly to have come from that source! On the evidence you have, you can say no more than "my mate has texted me claiming that McGhee has been sacked." Please restrict yourself to the evidence you have and do NOT attribute unconfirmed statements to responsible media organisations. By the way... was this the same mate who texted you the other week with information which also led you to cause untold confusion?

  23. Limited companies require to be registered with a charity regulator? They're not registared with companies house or OSCR under D4 Life or any variation of so there's going to be BIG trouble! If they're busted for not being registared they'll be dragged through court by their ears and forced to pay back every single penny they've been given and forced to wind up the "group" makeing the liquidation of dundee fc certain.

  27. Morning all, I got shouted down in Brechins before Ibrox for offering my tuppenceworth re Mr Foran. In the 2nd 45 of that game he definately gave the impression of a man who had had a boot up the backside at half-time.. And quite rightly so. He went on to have a major contribution and was very unlucky not to secure the equaliser which may just have led to a famous win. My point in the pub beforehand was......is he giving his all? Is he back to full fitness? Is he being played out of position? Where is the Richie ;Mr 110%......oh how I hate that phrase!; Mr lead-by-example...that we came to take for granted last year? I'm not so sure he is back and I am not so sure why. Does he require more booting up the derriere......or am I just being impatient? We need to push on. The first part of the season has yielded a healthy points tally and a lofty league position. We must keep it up however. Clubs below us keep earning points and we never seem to get any further away from the bottom. With our home form being so poor, a couple of bad weeks could see us in the mire again and all the good work being undone. The opposite is also true of course. So, come on Richie, step up to the plate.....and show us what you are made of.

  28. You genuinely believe that there's nothing wrong with the team as it was tonight? Having seen the game on Hurdy Gurdy TV now, I thought we were **** poor and in no way deserved to win. I think our Irish trio are mis-firing up front and we look extremely suspect at the back when questions are asked of it from reasonably pacey attacks. We aren't even that good in the midfield, we have no one that can dictate the pace or direction of a game! Before anyone attacks what I'm saying, have a think about how we've got to where we are in the league. We've had massive amounts of luck! Luck like we've had doesn't carry on forever and when it runs out, if we've not sorted our act out, we will sink back down to the bottom six and potentially get heavily involved in a relegation battle toward the business end of the season. Any way, here's how I'd line up against one of my most hated teams in Scotland on account of how many scum-bags they have in their squad: Esson McAnn Innes Munro Shinnie (Gillet if fit) Duff Morrison (Duncan if fit) Hayes Odhiambo Ross Sutherland Here's my thinking: CB - I'd drop Tokely because against a pacey attack, he is a total liability. LB - Shinnie has had a torrid time now in his last two games, especially the Motherwell game where Humphrey tore him a new hole on several occasions. The sooner we get a fully fit Gillet back in the team, the better. CDM - Although Morrison looked like he did an OK job against Aberdeen, he didn't boss the game like a defensive midfielder should. Though it genuinely pains me to say this, I think we miss Duncan in there. LM - Drop Foran and move Ross out to this position allowing Odhiambo back into the team. Foran may well have created Granty's goal tonight but he is far from his best and something needs done about that. CF - Drop Rooney, he's not been at the races for the last few games and he made some appalling decisions in tonights game. Sutherland, I feel will be more suited to taking on long balls that are aimed at him from our defence and bring the supporting cast attacking from midfield into the play more.

  30. I laugh when people on this forum call Old Firm fans backwards. Have a look at yourselves. Stupid ol' ********. The Green Brigade have made statement after Statement regarding the poppies yet why is it, it never gets released by the press? In short, they say people have FREEDOM to wear the poppy if they like. They have no problem if people want to wear one. But, a Club like Celtic who are supported by people from different faiths and countries should not be wearing a poppy on their top. You can all shove your poppy fascism up your arses tbh and say what you want. A lot of you say i talk pish, well, you go anywhere else in Scotland and i bet you lot will look the bunch of complete morons. Thinking that everyone must wear a poppy of support the poppy? Get a grip. Men who fought in the World Wars gave up their lives so we can choose to wear something if we want or not. I remember the men who died in WW1 and WW2 on rememberance sunday but i will not, and i refuse to remember those who died in wars such as Falklands, Iraq and N.I as they fought in wars that should never have come to pass. Starchief, if you bothered to stop being so fecking bias and ignorant you would realise that The Green Brigade have been against John Reid from the very beginning. Whos the real moron? They do not believe the poppy supports the Government. We know that they remember men who fought in wars that resulted in the death of innocent people. The same innocent people that relations support Celtic Football Club. Especially in regards to the Conflict in Northern Ireland. **** this forum. It's a pile of *****. If someone has a different point of view etc then they are shot down. Scotland is full of small minded idiots. Call me, The Green Brigade and Celtic fans what you want, the real small minded people are you lot. Shove your poppy fascism up your up-tight-arses.
