  1. After David Raven's start to the season, which was not spectacular to say the least, I am happy to eat my words and say he was my Man of the Match today. What an improvement, game by game. Well done, David. Credit where credit is due.

  2. Very much a case of the back four being let down by the rest of the team. Too many players having an off day, however for 60 minutes it was obvious that something need to change and nothing came from the management team. We seem to be unable to change things in the middle of the game. Having seen Roberts several times now there seems very little to justify his selection and indeed insufficient to suggest that we should be extending his loan stay. Money could be better used on a wide midfielder I suspect. I know that we have Nick to return and Pepper is also a prospect, however it is noticiable that he has not featured as much recently.

  4. Yes , seems a harsh judgement to walk out . It's the kind of thing that a fairweather fan might do really. Of course he will retort that he paid his money and can do what he likes. Just let him go. What does concern me is the low attendance at today's home match. Our players are ball players from what I can judge, work very hard and the pace is fast, we are third in the league and could go on "not losing" for many more games so what on earth can a fan have to moan about? The only thing that I also want to moan about is the font thing. Vision impaired people cannot read what you are writing unless you select a larger, clearer font. Please use Times New Roman (as an example) since that fits the bill neatly and is the accepted font for writing books - which must mean something to you does it? Anyway thank you in advance for your co-operation.

  5. Dissapointing to draw after starting brighter and scoring a terrific goal. I felt had we pressed harder a 2nd goal might have knocked the stuffing out of them but it didn't happen. We need to make a few more of our attacks count as we always looked far more dangerous than Hearts. But credit to Hearts. It was a nervy start from them but midway through the first half they began to get stuck in and our midfield and front players were given very little time on the ball. We were not as fluid as of late and we did not find our passes as well, but in a large part I think that was down to the pressure Hearts applied. Raven, Warren and Meekings were our standout players. Most of Hearts' success came when attacking Shinnie and he looked vulnerable at times. Roberts was again disappointing. He has talent but seems scared to take defenders on. I hate to say it, but he seems to be going backwards and not developing at all. Doran did not have his best game but always looked far more effective than Roberts. OTJ scored a great goal but otherwise failed to impress. That may have had something to do with the return of Foran as I don't feel OTJ and Foran work together as well as OTJ and Draper do. I think we really missed Draper's presence in midfield today. I'm never quite sure what to make of Foran. He does a lot of things very well. He works hard, he's great in the air and today he made several superb tackles and yet I tend to get the impression that the team plays better when he's not there. There is a tendency for him to follow the ball and the team loses shape. If Draper is fit for the next match it will need to be Roberts who gives way and I would put Foran in left midfield where he will be able to provide useful cover for G Shinnie who should be encouraged to be more attack minded than he was today. And finally a word about a few of our moaning fans again. Yes it was a generally poor team performance by this season's standards and it was disappointing to lose a late goal but that does not excuse the significant exodus when Hearts scored. A bloke in front of me got up in disgust and said he was "not watching anymore of this nonsense". FFS! We are just 2 points off the top of the SPL and have now gone 10 games since we last lost! We are also 1 more point further ahead of County than we were this morning. So all in all, I think that's pretty good. If Barcelona can lose to Celtic, surely we can be excused for drawing with Hearts.

  6. Real game of two halves, although I think you have to give McGlynn credit for the changes he made at half time. He replaced two more offensive midfielders with two more defensive ones and flooded the midfield. We couldn't then play through them the way that we did in the first half, and the longer ball was then inevitable. With the height of Webster and Zaliuskas, Hearts were always going to cope better. We should have been out of sight at half time but us being p*ssed at this result just shows how far we have come. Roberts didn't play well today, but his overall progress is good - the Gnakpa comment is harsh. Motherwell are due a roasting up here, and I think that this is just the team to do it.

  8. Threw it away with a poor second half performance in my view. Yes, we defended well and they got a soft pen' but it was no more than the Jambo's deserved. We couldn't pass the ball and we couldn't hold on to the ball when we had it evn to take the pressure off. Warren was my MotM judging out Tudor-Jones (what a strike by the way). Bill MacKay never stopped running but lacked to cutting edge. As for young Phil Roberts, I know he's young and learning his trade but I've seen no real evidence to suggest we should try to hang on to him. He gave to ball more than any of the others I reckon. Disappointing result but at least we keep the unbeaten run going for a short while yet.

  9. Seriously Johndo ? did you watch the same Roberts as i watched? i watched him very closely a couple of weeks ago to see what all the fuss was about ( against St Johnstone) and he was awful, and i thought he wasnt much better today, yes he is young and learning but surely a basic skill for a footballer is being able to control the ball? at one stage his first touch took the ball 20 feet away from him. He should have been hooked at half time in both games.

  10. Good decision, I think. He's looked too casual trying to take the ball put of defence a few times in the second half. Shane will take the ball and run with it, which is what we need at the moment. Hearts look hungrier, which is a little strange as we could be going equal top today.

  13. We need to get the ball down and start the simple passing again as it has been more long stuff fer the last 10 and we are letting them back into it.

  14. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/inverness-offer-stars-new-deals-1424453 According to this we have offered 2 year deals to Andrew Shinne, Graeme Shinnie and Josh Meekings as well as trying to extend Roberts' loan. Great to see the club acting much earlier than normal to try and secure key players way before another club can pick them up on a pre-contract. Also good to see we are offering these guys 2 year deals. Well done ICT.

  17. Here‘s hoping Cammys inclusion can inspire a repeat score line of the last time County travelled to Rugby Park.

  18. I completey accept Scotland could be helped by a non-Scots manager. It would also help Scotland to have better non-Scottish players. I agree with Craig Brown - the selection criteria for the most important person, the manager, should be no different from the players. Without that, it's pointless calling it a national team. Might as well just be a club, not a nation.

  19. Draper only got 1 year deal, he needs to be signed up imo, this team has made me look forward to games again, not like last season!

  20. Wow! how the wind has changed. I used to read stuff like get new players in, get rid of so and so, bring back someone called Tokeley and Munro we cant do withiout them sack the manager. Nowit is refreshing to read things like We dont need any new signings, happy to keep, dont need any, Butcher should be manager of the month Aaahhh sublime .....contentment in the ranks at last...Long may it continue...........
