Gary has signed a new 3 year deal. Well done to both club and player.

It's a really strong message that players can come here, settle, prosper and enjoy the way-of-life in Inverness. I assume his fiancé must also be happy in the town for Gary to commit to a long-term deal. Great news. Also really encouraging that he's keen to start doing coaching badges - Warren seems the type of character who'd do well in that capacity....who knows, down the line we could have a Foran/Warren management team!
  3. I refuse to bow to the Neil Doncaster regime. It will forever be the Division's 1,2 and 3 for me.
  4. OK, that's the last words on this. The thread has gone off piste again and will be closed. If you want to start another one fine by me, but it has to keep on course. This will now be discussed by mods and admin.

Good honest club beating cheating, greeting, moaning club. We'll done the Perth Saints. Don't damage the trophy as it will be ours next May.
  6. A wee plug for this article for the outstanding Scottish football website The Terrace (written by yours truly) I'm sure it'll bring back a few memories! http://terracepodcast.net/scottish-premiership/2014/5/15/hot-goal-time-machine-inverness-ct
  7. Passionate??.....you couldnt find a more reserved, placid support anywhere than at ICT. Makes snooker crowds look like a bunch of rowdies Away fans are pretty passionate in my opinion. I think to travel down the A9 every second week makes us Caleyaway guys pretty passionate?
  8. I refuse to bow to the Neil Doncaster regime. It will forever be the Division's 1,2 and 3 for me. Should that not be divisions 2,3 and 4?
  9. You used question marks and full stops? Are you feeling ok?

As a Yogi sceptic, may I wholeheartedly echo that sentiment.
  11. No thanks. Passed it big time, not the kind of player we need and would probably want huge wages.

I believe it's the first time the letter "J" has appeared on the trophy. Got me thinking - how on earth would they fit our name on? What about when the engraver put " Jesus Christ!!! Not St Mirren".

Sorry but adulterating brandy with ice is just plain wrong...
  14. I read today that kane hemmings isn't signing a new deal with Cowdenbeath. Championship player of the year, and scored 23 goals for them last season. Could be worth a sniff?

I believe a certain Mr Mckay maybe making us smile again soon, possibly before jetting off to South America with N. Ireland
  17. Brilliant news. as much as I'd like a couple of new signings this summer I think it will be much better if we get the first XI on extended deals. Shinnie, Meekings and Mckay next please!

Eagle you are twenty two years to late to see Caley play in Perth Caley were defeated 3-0 in a Scottish cup tie after a 2-2 draw in the first game in Inverness Anyway congratulations to St Johnstone I'm delighted for my Perth friends I wonder was Davie from caleyjagsforever at the game decked out in his Arab regalia Dougal We've played in Perth loads since then, we even played the Challenge cup final there....Where have you been He's talking Caley as opposed to Caley Thistle. I'm sure if you keep ramping up the personal hygiene regime then another 15 years should fix it.

Sakes, I actually find myself agreeing with you 100 %.
  23. Maybe it's the thrill of watching your team play in red and blue stripes that helps Nice to see that our club still retains the warm and welcoming approach despite our elevation to the upper echelon of the SPL - long may it last.
  24. Inverness as a large town/ city is a victim of its own succes in terms of attendances at football. There is so much to do, in and around the area that People tend to spend thier time pursuing outdoor activities, a wide range of sports and other interests. Places like Kilmarnock, Paisley etc are not that lucky. The match day experience at ICT( football asides) would have to grately improve to compete with such an abundance of alternative weekend activities.
  25. I best bring a drum (and the Crystals) ...those last 15mins when Palace came back from 0-3 to level with Liverpool and destroy their title dreams will live long in the memory for the sheer crescendo of noise....from the whole ground.... ICT could be a bit of a challenge!

Hope it doesn't take ICT 130 years to win it!
  27. Yes....but how far can the team realistically take it. ICT fans have been spoilt. For the most part, for the entire history of the club, we have seen progress MOST seasons. But that was mostly when we were a big fish in a little pond. We are now in with the big boys, so people need to be realistic about the aims they set. I think this season is as good a season as we could ever really hope to see. I cant see it getting any better than what we just had.....so.....where do we go from here? When are we going to stop belittling ourselves. In with the big boys? From what I've seen over the last few seasons we are one of the big boys. Barring Celtic we can match any team in the league. The so called big boys like Aberdeen and Dundee United no longer have the funds nor the overdraft facilities to run away from us. We have a squad of players that those teams are envious of. What do I expect for next season? I expect us to compete with all the teams in the league. I expect us to improve on this seasons form against Celtic. I expect us to improve on this seasons goals against tally. I expect us to stay top six. These are my expectations. My wish is two cups and second in league.
  28. Have we become the victims of our own success? The club progressed quickly through the divisions picking up more fans at every stage. Add in giant killing cup exploits in the first 10 years which brought a few more. The start of the SPL in Aberdeen didn't help initial top flight crowds but when back at TCS crowds were healthy. The problem then became that fans started seeing the same teams over and over again and after ten years of upward motion we started get bogged down in relegation battles. All this adds to the effect that we have reached our core support and the " Big Teams" at TCS is no longer the pull it was.
  29. Not sure if he's being kept on or released (Calum Ferguson). He went on loan to Montrose towards the end of the season and I had been checking the Montrose line-ups to see if he was getting a game, but don't think he even made the bench. From reports, I'm of the opinion that Ali Sutherland may be the better prospect. Edit - Just read on the 'Contract Situation' thread, reported by caleydawson that Ferguson has been promoted to the first team squad. Ferguson started out being involved in most matches whether starting or on the bench but then he got injured and i think he was still injured or not fully fit when his season finished
  30. Passionate??.....you couldnt find a more reserved, placid support anywhere than at ICT. Makes snooker crowds look like a bunch of rowdies
