  1. Indeed. The ticket prices will have changed but the one thing that will have remained consistent is that Ewan Murray will always remain a complete melt.
  2. A great start to the New Year - fantastic win yesterday. It's so refreshing to be at the half-way point in the league and into January and just 5 points separate FIVE clubs!!! And Celtic aren't top! No time to rest-on-our-laurels though, with still another 6 Premiership games this month! It's often January that shapes many clubs' seasons. We're really well placed for top-six - but won't look any further than that for now. County look in trouble - even Jim McIntyre was sounding a little down beat - almost resigned to the reality. They have a fight on their hands - but St. Mirren are just as poor so they might be okay! And I thought Motherwell were going to sort themselves out but losing 5-0 to Hamilton suggests something's very wrong there - so all is not lost for County. I enjoy the derbies so, from a personal point of view, I hope they stay up. With a 'big' team likely replacing them, I doubt our club would feel any financial loss from a potential County relegation. I'd certainly prefer games against County that Hibs, Hearts or Rangers!
  3. You seem upbeat considering you lost.
  4. Job done. 5 bookings to the cabbage men, 3 goals to (hackers) ICT. Just paid my annual visit to the parochial wee hate-fest that is OTB. They don't like us much do they
  5. Comedy Gold that thread! I don't have an account but will admit that having a wee read is a guilty pleasure of mine! They are bitter rant they? Also if was the refs fault they lost yesterday apparently not the fact they were played off the pitch.....lol
  6. Speaking of relegation, I reckon the 35 points we have in the bag is already enough to avoid both the automatic spot and the play-off place.
  7. My summary - ICT - brilliant. County - terrible. Fans - Terrific! That is all.
  8. Great game and performance today from all the team The only thing missing in Dingwall after a result like that is Adams on the touchline
  9. OOR Billy is back again
  10. Little Britain's Vicky Pollard. Yeah but no but yeah they had more fans, but really not cos if we were playing away from home we would have had more but we wouldn't go to their ground and they only had more fans cos they are near the top and we are bottom but we are better cos if we had been as good as them we would have beaten ourselves by a lot more goals and anyway Aberdeen had more fans!
  11. Ah Over The Bridge at it's best eh!

  13. It was his post before the Shinnie one I was referring to.... " I think more than 6,000 people watched a Highland derby in Third Division. That number now can't be matched in top tier. Also telling." Edit: As he's clearly 'allowed' to edit his tweets, I'll also edit this - he's now amended his figure to read 5,000 as opposed to read 6,000. Which conveniently just fits his claim, as there were indeed 5,017 at one game in the 3rd division. But fortunately, I took a screenshot of his original post!
  14. 9 men we only need 9 men definitely the best feeling at a ICT game of 2014 Need a few years to see if that game or super caley go ballistic is my favourite (hearts edge it because my boys talk about it all the time)
  15. And we are of to a good start for 2015!
  16. Mantis, think positive we could get an away draw in the cup next year
  17. OCG is spot on nick Ross at Easter Road enough said never experienced that carnage for a late goal like that
  18. That was our first New Year derby win today. I for one will be enjoying it that littlle bit more
  19. County may not be all that bad ................. It is just that we are so much better Hope they stay up so that we can keep getting points of them.....
  20. We totally bossed the game and got the 3 points we deserved. I thought everybody played well and in particular Watkins, Tansey, Shinnie and Doran were superb. If I was a County fan I would be very worried right now.
  21. After the game today it's a Very Happy New Year
  22. Just in the door after a fair number of pints pre and post match Thought we were very impressive and we controlled the entire 90mins albeit against an extremely poor County who in my option are now destined for the championship Shame really because I think both clubs need each other in the same league for financial reasons but who knows they might go on a signing spree again this month Also quite impressed with our support hard to tell did we sell the entire end but there were very few empty seats near me Even the atmosphere was pretty good at times pity it wasn't like this at the dump because I could tell it really inspired the players Dougal
  23. We are very dangerous when we attack!! I thought we made a great recovery today after three tough games. However, St Mirren is not an easy game this Sunday. We may have won in the Cup but we cannot take them for granted. As for County today, apart from the lapses of concentration that lead to Brill pushing the ball onto the post and then sleeping for the corner, County were luck not to concede more. Fair play to Roguero. Their support today was poor given their precarious position. I did not detect a fighting spirit. Brittain was a poor captain and his substitution epitomised a club who will now fight out bottom spot with St Mirren even if Big Roy authorises the annual January sack and spend recruitment campaign. Let's hope we do get moving because we have an inordinate amount of away games coming up.
  24. Great game, great atmosphere, great result. We were in a different class, passing and moving sweetly, their only response was obstruction, fouling and disruption. It could have been four or five. Back on track, a good morale booster. Watkins might struggle for Sunday with a heavy looking bruised leg. He was outstanding, the interplay at the front is great to watch.
  25. Well, I'm delighted with that win in what could easily have been another banana skin for us. Well done to Doran. I thought he was really poor against Aberdeen, and would have left him out today. Well done to Yogi too for sticking with him. Does my Gringo's prediction league no harm either! Onwards and upwards! I know all the other top 6 contenders also won today, but we can't control that, so as long as we have a nice wee run of wins now to balance the 3 defeats, we should be ok. Well done everybody.
  26. We are back on the winning trail, well done ICT.. It's beginning to be a Happy New year !
  27. Good belief from the boys today well done to all!
  28. Sorry I couldn't make it. Surely we get to keep them now?
  29. Tuning into the game online via twitter from South London whilst also watching Aston Villa vs Crystal Palace online in another window! C'mon CALEY THISTLE!!
  30. should have had a 'stonewall' penalty according to Barry Wilson on OAM
  31. Happy and prosperous NEW YEAR to all on the ICT Bandwagon
  32. Lazy cut and paste from a similar topic of your five favourite footballing moments of 2014. Two aren't strictly ICT but there are (tenuous) links to us so they can stay in for all I care! 1) ICT 2 - 2 Hearts (ICT win 4 - 2 on penalties) League Cup Semi Final Down to nine men, going into injury time and trailing 2 - 1. Up steps Nick Ross to fire home the equaliser and send the game into extra time. A great Dean Brill save from Hamillin the penalty spot and ICT eventually, against all the odds, win the shoot out and are off to their first major final ever. Let's ignore the final though :( http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25900500 2) Ross County 0 - 3 ICT An absolute pumping of Ross County at a venue where we hadn't won in 10 years (although mos of those years we were in separate divisions). I like the Staggies fan at around 4:50 who makes to throw a bottle at Watkins but thinks better of it and backs down. 3) Terry Butcher joining Hibs I was disappointed to see him go to Hibs but in a fabulous bout of schadenfreude ICT fans were able to see Butcher fail spectacularly and take Hibs into the SFL1 after a laughable run of results. I suspect he won't regret the move but sometimes I do wonder what we might have achieved that season had he stayed with us. Still 4) My favourite ICT goal of 2014 this Aaron Doran strike v Ross County in another derby win in Dingwall 5) Jamie Hamill v Derek Adams. Nothing more needs to be said here
  33. It may slow the game down at it's inception Alex, but we would soon get used to it and it would make the game a lot fairer and more enjoyable in the end. It would cut out a lot of the nonsense we have been mentioning. The game would get back to being football, where skill prevails over thuggery with less injury and more excitement. Yes players stayed on their feet even if they got knock they didn't dare go down in case they would be branded as ''sissies''. (can I use that word nowadays ???) Bring on the technology let the SPFL lead the world !!
  34. This is just a wee reminder that the supporters represent the good name of the club and the city tomorrow. There has been a bit of worryingly aggressive "banter" on twitter over the last day or so (which most people on here will be unaware of) and whilst CJT or me can't tell people how to behave please remember a couple of things; don't go on to the pitch under any circumstances. No "pyro" or other banned articles (County have a list attached to each gate) and please, no aggression to other supporters. We have an away support that has a great reputation as a noisy, colourful and passionate bunch and we've worked really hard for that over the years. Let's keep it that way and enjoy our new year the way that only we can. Cheers.
  35. I would also support tougher sanctions but as a club we need to be aware of the old saying about glass houses and stones. After the game in Perth, John Hughes clearly felt the referee made the wrong decision but he was at pains not to criticise Graham for his actions (although he probably accepted that there was some contact at that point). This was not just Hughes being unwilling to criticise individuals publicly (a trait I very much admire in him), it was a more general point about players forcing the referee to make a decision. What he said was words to the effect that if one of his players felt contact in the box he would expect them to go down and force the referee to make a decision. My view is that you should make every effort to stay on your feet. I am really not sure there is a great deal of difference between going down when there is no contact and going down when there is minimal contact when it would have been easier to stay on your feet. It's all very well to say that referees should be asked to make a decision but they have a split second to make a decision and are often not at the best angle to see. It is inevitable that referees will often get it wrong. I am therefore all for any process that allows for retrospective action which either condemns or reprieves a player. Incidentally, such a process would also be very effective in those difficult situations where players "buy" penalties by deliberately tripping over a defender - often where a defender pulls out of the tackle but the attacker makes a slight change of course and goes over the defender's leg in any case.
  36. My feelings too, great shame if we do I would like to have seen the lads stick together for another season at least. Either way J H is thinking along the right lines. He is putting the team first and that is as it should be. Hopefully his own contract will be extended soon, we don't want him having itchy feet, he has done us proud to date.
