  1. What an absolutely bizarre side topic we have here in regards to moans about the waiting times at the stadium. Appears to me that those complaining weren't there and weren't affected by it....essentially having a moan on behalf of people who may have had reason to moan, but aren't...!! In regards to orders taken over the phone. I believe that if you phoned the number instructed (0844 847 1888) then you would have been told where your tickets were for...these calls were being handled by the Ticketmaster call centre. If you phoned the stadium then any available staff were taking written orders to be processed by ticket sales staff later. As they did not have system access, then they would have been unable to allocate your tickets at the time of the call. So, it wasn't just 2 staff dealing with ticket sales...it was in fact ALL available members of staff who were working on it, just not all of them in the ticket office itself. Considering they also had match preparations ahead of tonight's game to handle as well as other day to day operations, I think they're (once again) doing a pretty remarkable job all in all.
  2. What a night!!!!!! got absolutely soaked through walking to the ground and was still wet by the end but the result more than made up for it,What a strike by Danny Williams, simply superb, a great result and thoroughly deserved, great time to be an ICT fan, :ictscarf:

  4. Danny Williams was a stand out tonight and capped his performance with a tremendous dipping volley. The surface suited his darting runs and he was creaming the United players. We were deservedly cruising and Ofere should have scored a second, but knocked it wide. United made us sweat a bit at the end but we held firm.
  5. My hubby didn't care how long the queue was for his tickets he would have waited any length of time (he waited from 9.50 to 10.45 at front of queue) as he has waited 21 years for caley thistle to be in the final. Nothing is going to stop him going
  6. Just seen on Twitter that Yogi has won the manager of the year award well done Yogi it is fully deserved
  7. Good game in atrocious conditions. Very early goal for them coming from a Devine backpass getting stuck in a puddle and Esson's rushed clearance going straight to the Utd lad who finished well. After that early setback, I thought we were brilliant at times and totally dominated. Superb equaliser from Ofere, after some brilliant build up play between Williams and Watkins. Then a fantastic strike from Williams proved to be the winner. Ofere missed a sitter at the beginning of the second half, then we did our usual and invited Utd onto us in the last 15 mins. Fortunately we got away with it. Best game I've seen Ofere play yet, and after a slow start Williams was superb..my MOTM. Other than his unfortunate passbook, Devine did well. A good all round team performance. Best get those passports out!!
  8. I am delighted for him. I am fortunate in that I get to speak to the big guy more than most fans and he's a gem. No matter the result, no matter how much he's been wound up he's an absolute pro. Will talk about the game - with a depth of insight that would surprise some, always talks up his players and has a real affinity for the club. Will never sulk, never avoid the issues and never act the prima donna. He can be devastatingly honest at times (and not always for his own good) but his knowledge of people and how to get the best out of them is second to none. His predecessor was always praised for motivating people but if anything, Yogi is better. There's also the fact that he's a genuinely good bloke. When he was appointed, I remember being taken aback at how enthusiastic Kenny Cameron was about his appointment. There really was no other person who came close to surpassing Yogi. Wasn't wrong there then! Well done.
  9. What a bloody awful night for football, a goal down after 2 minutes.........................but the rest just brilliant....................well done to the team
  10. Just come in having been out for the evening and not able even to sneak a look at my phone. I'll enjoy my nightcap even better now. What a great result. Well done to all concerned. 3rd place is within our grasp. Let's make sure of it by winning at least 2 of our remaining games and not depending on favours from others. A truly remarkable effort by our wee club Onwards and upwards.
  11. The team must take a huge amount of credit for rolling up the sleeves to dig out a massive win tonight. The condition were terrible but even so the team played good football and Williams goal was a cracker. It would be great if we can Europe sorted out on Saturday and this will then give Yogi a chance to rest or try out some other players in the remaining games before the cup final. I think Ofere has now shown that he is good enough to be offered a contract for next season.
  12. Phew, what a game. Massive, massive result for us. Glad I wasn't out there, horrendous conditions! Credit to the players for a great performance. Lots of brave challenges and solid last ditch clearances. We pressed United hard all over the pitch and won the midfield battle. The only other time I've seen us press so hard this season was in our 3-1 home win over Hamilton. Wish we played that way more often, the players are good at it. Williams, Vincent and Eddie caused United problems every time they got the ball. Meekings looked dangerous when he surged up the right flank, if he was more selfish and willing to have a dig he would probably have gotten on the scoresheet. One thing I would say though, you can see why we've had so much trouble holding a lead recently. Sitting super deep and hoofing the ball straight back to United every time. That was precisely the tactic that undid us time and again late on in matches under Butcher. It just invites wave after wave of balls into our box. United had 2 gilt edged chances late on. We need an out ball. The hoof over the top for Marley or Doran to chase almost never works. Hughes keeps telling them to stay on the last man, but coming deep for a ball to feet from time to time would be a safer bet IMO and relieve the pressure. Just a small gripe!
  13. Steady Eddie had another good game and thought Josh was superb at right back looked keen to get forward all night.
  14. Say what you like about Ofere's fitness and touch, but you cannot question his scoring record - better than Billy's!
  15. nahh, trying to look like I am working !
  16. ICT fans are an unusual bunch ....... Manager of the year but in some eyes he is not even a good manager. Maybe said from the heart and not the head!
  17. 1 point
Yes, let's get ahead of ourselves. That's never turned out badly.
  18. So they can then keep those of a nervous disposition well clear.
  19. I believe there were two points selling. You can also buy online. We are a small club with limited resources and staff so folk will really just have to be patient. Lots of time left to buy as well.
  20. Nom Nom Nom, humble pie has never tasted so delicious. I was one of the sceptics after his appointment but I've been won over and some. Yogi is a top man, one of the real good guys of football and I'm delighted for him. Richly deserved and a tremendous honour for both Yogi and the club. By all accounts his acceptance speech brought the house down. Hayley McQueen just tweeted it was the best she's ever heard.
  21. 15. First ever Manager of the Year! Yogi rules!
  22. How brilliant is that? Well done John. You've proved your doubters to be wrong. Now, the icing on the cake will be clinching 3rd spot in the league, and, of course, winning the Scottish Cup. You can do it.
  23. 1 point
One word - "confidence". That's all that's different now compared to earlier in the season. The games against Aberdeen and St J sum this up: leading in both in the final 30 min and coming out with only one point in total reflects the jitters in our play late in these games as opposed to the confidence we showed when we were sealing wins at the beginning of the season. IMO we're playing pretty well for the majority of these games, but just can't nail them at the crucial moment. Will take any kind of scabby win to turn this around!
  24. Chance to give Devine some game time and move Josh over to RB. Esson Meekings. Warren. Devine. Shinnie Draper. Tansey Watkins. Christie. Williams Ofere
