  4. I have secured two coaches for Cup Final day and am looking to fill them with schoolkids and their parents. I will subsidise these coaches so that the return cost is just £10 for kids and £15 for adults that accompany them. This is about a third of the cost of public transport so hopefully we can get 100 people to the match that would otherwise not have gone. Departure points will be finalised in the next 48 hours. It would be great if other businesses or individuals would chip in some money so that we can organise more coaches and I would appreciate it if you can pass this request on to any charitable contacts you have. £750 would subsidise another coach but any amount is welcome. Please contact me if you can help or if you have access to more coaches (which are thin on the ground). We will be promoting this via the schools in the next two days and it will only be available for bookings where children are accompanied by adults.
  5. This will be the first card display that ICT have done and a lot of work has gone into it. The players are apparently looking forward to seeing it.

Thanks for the reply IHE but the link doesn't seem to work? Consider yourself fortunate.
  7. Will it be at the player sponsors night tonight?* *Note: There is no way I would touch the thing before the final, but it would be nice to stand next to it (and not touch it).

Celtic haven't done anything this season. They should be winning the league at a canter given the massive berth in budget between them and the nearest competitor Aberdeen. They play well within themselves and winning the league is the bare minimum requirement for a Celtic manager at present. So for any player to be nominated they have to be a massive step above the rest. Ryan shone as a young breakthrough player in a small provincial team and was a key part in helping them finish 3rd (well about what their size and budget suggests they should) and reach a final. Thoroughly, thoroughly deserved. Well done Ryan!
  9. What size of display? The card display is about 9000 cards No he doesnt mean Collum he means in the crowd.
  10. I imagine Yogi has decided on his final starting line up but if there are any decisions to make it would be whether he starts with Williams or Doran. He may decide to start with both on Sunday and tell them they are playing for a place in the final. I think too much is being read into the Celtic wanting revenge bit and the injury risk. Celtic will be motivated to win this well for a number of reasons but I don't think revenge against us will be the main one. They are being presented with the league trophy and they will want to end the season in style. It is not in their interest to have a game which is too combative and to risk red cards and injury in a game which for them is a celebration more than anything else. We don't have great depth in the squad and bringing in too many fringe players risks us getting a heavy beating which is not the way we would want to end the league season. If that was what Yogi was inclined to do, then surely he would have done it against Dundee Utd. My guess is that he will try to keep things pretty tight at the back with the aim of hitting them on the break. For that reason I would see him maybe picking his usual first choice defence along with Draper and Tansey. Both Williams and Doran to start in midfield. I'd then put Watkins up front instead of Ofere in order to exploit his speed and I would rest Christie and start with Vincent instead. I agree that it is tempting to play MacKay in goals but if he was to be given some big match experience before the final he would have had it by now. He would be likely to have a pretty torrid time against Celtic and whilst the experience may do him good, the risk that it would be damaging for his confidence is significant. Personally I don't see a problem with Meekings playing. Of course he will get some abuse from the crowd but he will get it next year in any case. Any abuse they give him is a reminder that we beat them the last time the 2 sides met. Esson Raven Warren Meekings Shinnie Draper Tansey Doran Vincent Williams Watkins
  11. Here is your chance to get up close to the trophy. This press release yesterday shows you where it's at. Inverness Caledonian Thistle are hitting the streets to raise awareness of the William Hill Scottish Cup final as well as showing the Scottish Cup trophy round Inverness. Supporters have the opportunity to see the world’s oldest football trophy at the following locations and meet some of the playing squad too.….. Tuesday 19th May – ICTFC Club Shop at the Victorian Market 1pm – 3pm Wednesday 20th May – Open training session at Bught Park, Inverness 11am – 12.30pm Thursday 21st May – Tesco, Inverness Retail Park 12pm – 2pm Subway, Harbour Road, Inverness 2.30pm – 4.30pm Friday 22nd May – Falcon Square, Eastgate Centre 11am – 3pm Saturday 23rd May – Falcon Square, Eastgate Centre 11am – 3pm Iain Auld Commercial manager “This is a very exciting time for the club and it’s great to out and about community with the William Hill Scottish Cup final. 12. Thoughts on this? The game is pretty much irrelevant and i am hoping Hughes realizes this and puts the subs in the starting 11 and rest all the vital players. We can't afford any injuries or red cards. And knowing the antics of players like Brown they will be out to try and get some revenge. I'd even take Esson off. Letting in 5 or 6 goals won't be good for his confidence. Its important we rest all our vital players
  13. I asked a couple of days ago in the Victorian market shop and the girl told me the strips would be on sale the Monday before the final, presumably somewhere around the same price as last year
  14. I'd give Meekings and hour then sub him when he's at the furthest part of the pitch from the dugout. A nice long slow walk should get 30,000 veins bulging. No point 'protecting' him from the bile, he'll get it all next season - that lot bear a grudge like a crown.
  15. I've just refused my refund so it can be reallocated to those who have to book on more expensive buses so hope more peeps do this and get the numbers up
  16. He's like Ciftci then? Got the talent but brawn over brains is what he likes to do. Correct? He gets hot flushes to his brain and all, and it's stop the player at all costs....?
  17. There will be a card display at the final.
  18. And it gets a bit awkward when they eventually meet.......
  19. It doesn't, I just think it's awfully curious that there now seems to be all these Man City and Chelsea supporters in the Highlands. When I was in school there wasn't any. Now that they're successful that seems to have changed. I wonder if some Russian oligarch bought say Bristol Rovers and they won the European Cup, you'd see their shirts up being worn up here... Personally, I think having two clubs is like having a wife and a girlfriend. Just wrong!
  20. Rest the first team squad and blood all the youngsters. We must avoid injuries and suspensions at all cost and as mooted above Brown and Co will be out for revenge. Would not risk Ryan Esson and agree it's as good a time as any to give our young keeper his debut. A lot of regular fans who travel to away games I have spoken to are not going to Parkdread either for the fear of trouble and abuse .
  21. I'll reiterate again that we need to give Cameron Mackay some game time before the final. Imagine Falkirk bombard the goal for the opening ten minutes (not inconceivable at all) and then Esson picks up an injury or gets sent off (or both!). This is nothing against Mackay at all but do we really want a teenage goalkeeper making his debut as a substitute in the final with no first team match experience at all? What have we got to lose by playing him on Sunday? In fact, I wouldn't even be risking Esson ahead of the final.
  22. Well at the Semi Final, I thought Scott Brown warranted at least 3 yellow cards, instead of the one he got. He is a cynical tackler and always will be.
